I've been doing a mini-binge of Monday Nitro from fall of 1996. There have been some good moments like The Giant joining the nWo, as well as Sting seemingly joining the nWo and the arrival of Syxx. Plus, a match pitting Steve McMichael and Chris Benoit against Sting and Lex Luger. Then there have been some dumb moments. They do a countdown to the start of hour two and even if there's a match going on, they do the pyro for the start of the hour as well as the different announcers introducing the hour. Then at one point during the middle of a match, they cut to an unrelated locker room interview with the Four Horsemen completely ignoring the match going on. Then during a match between Diamond Dallas Page and Ice Train they cut to the back where some nWo fans (employees?) were taking over the merchandise stand. And while they were showing that (in full screen), the match in the ring ended. They didn't show the ending live. As it turns out if was a stupid AF finish to the match when they showed the replay as Ice Train had a Full Nelson on DDP, Ice Train's manager, Teddy Long got up on the ring apron and DDP grabbed the white towel from around Long's neck and tossed it in the ring suggesting that Long was giving up for Ice Train and so DDP was declared the winner even though he was in a submission hold.
