The Icon That Can Still Go
Rocky (1976)

Probably my favorite movie of all time. I've never told this story on here before. But the boxer Rocky is based on is Chuck Wepner who's nickname is the 'Bayonne Bleeder.' Bayonne is the small city in northern NJ that I was born and raised and that my mom still lives in to this day. Anyway, Chuck and my grandfather (my mom's father) were best friends. When Chuck was jobless and lost, it was my grandfather who hired him to be a bouncer at the bar my grandparents owned; and my grandfather eventually taught him to be a liquor salesman, which you see in the movie 'Chuck', him go bar to bar to sell liquor, before he took Muhamad Ali to the limit and became a big name. Anwyay, my grandfather and Chuck were real degenerates. They drank, did drugs, cheated on their wives, the whole 9.

My grandfather is dead. I still go to my mom's house in Bayonne alot to visit and of course during the holiday's, and my mom and Chuck live 2 blocks from eachother. Chuck still comes to my mom's house every Thanksgiving and Christmas to visit my family. My family in Bayonne and Chuck see eachother I'd say weekly, they're still close. I live about 20 mins away, but I still see Chuck a bunch when I go home. Anwyay, just thouyght I'd share that. Some might not beleive me and that is fine, but I have no reason lie about something so random. So, yeah. Just google "the real rocky, chuck wepner" or even just "The Bayonne Bleeder" and you'll see what I mean. They even made a movie based on Chuck a few years ago entitled, "Chuck" and he was played by Liev Schriber and alot of it was filmed in Bayonne. I own it on blu ray and Youtube.

Anyway, yeah, just thought I'd share that.

Been watching a few things House of Windsor, Queen Victoria and her nine children on Netflix, how to cook with cannabis aswell. Been binging loads yesterday and now, the first two shows as history is my favorite subject and the latter as I wanted to see how and why cooking with cannabis is sone, why it's so popular now and what food compliments cannabis, didn't know so many ways was possible.

Thanks, man! I got it for Christmas from the wife. She had it commissioned by a guy who's a real artist on IG and amazing at this shit. I wish I could draw that well, haha.
