Peaky Blinders is quite dull.

Veronica Mars season 3 is the best season.

Bride of Chucky is the best Chucky movie.

Star Trek is easily better than Star Wars (both on TV and film).

The S2 finale of Twin Peaks is better than the first season finale.

The Shining (the film) is overrated. Jack's performance is way too hammy. The recent sequel was at least as good.

I love The Shining but I do agree there is a fair bit of overacting in that film by Jack Nicholson, I still think he's great however. Apparently Stephen King hated the movie, and wasn't a big fan of Kubrick's take on it.

The Walking Dead hate is blasphemy

I just wish I'd stopped watching it at a certain point because I feel as though I'd remember it more fondly. The Walking Dead was one of those shows that when it was on point, it was must-see TV and then other times it felt like I was watching an entirely different show. I remember I was hyped as hell during that initial Negan introduction for example. There was many moments where I found myself being pulled back in, and then the writing and long drawn out talking scenes and whatnot killed it for me. Haven't actually thought about the show for like a year or so until this thread.

I don't hate The Walking Dead, I just don't care about it :lol That's how I feel about most TV shows though. My Mum watches TWD and is always saying to me "that episode sucked, there wasn't enough walkers in it" lol, she likes the gory stuff and hates when they just talk a lot haha.

I feel the same as you lately. In the past I used to try to keep up with every new trendy show people were talking about. It just leaves you feeling burnt out, and it's harder to drop the shows and becomes a sort of obligation. Past couple of years I've been doing my own thing and watching shows at my own pace, I prefer it. I think a lot of Netflix shows in particular are really uninteresting, not a huge fan of their originals.

Literally the only TV I watch now is wrestling, soap operas and occasionally something like The Amazing Race. I also watch Friends, Simpsons and Big Bang when I catch repeats. But that's basically it. I prefer to watch YouTube now or the WWE Network or something.

Jurassic Park III is overall better-paced and more entertaining than The Lost World.

That ain't really much of a hot-take tbf.

JP3 is a dumb as fuck action movie that's an hour and a half and you're gone.

Lost World tried to have a commentary but failed spectacularly at it and it's aged probably worse than even 3.

Both are pretty terrible tho.

I think the Resident Evil and Silent Hill adaptations are pretty good. Talking the very first movies.

Silent Hill more-so. they really nailed how the town should feel. Loved the cast in that movie as well, Sean Bean always a win for me.

No one has agreed with me on this in 20 years.
And I actually know a lot of people who prefer TLW to the very first Jurassic Park.

Does the first Silent Hill even get any hate?
Maybe not as much as Resident Evil does, but I don't feel like it's popular opinion to rate it as highly as I do. Not only do I think it's a great movie in its own right, but I'd go as far as to say it's my favourite video game to movie adaptation. Bar isn't super high though I guess. :lol
