The year is 3020 and the human race has long since stopped existing - well it has stopped existing in the form we know of in the 21st century. This is due to the discovery of interstellar travel in 2152, which led to the citizens ofearth joining the 'Galactic Alliance' and after a number of centuries with a large amount of cross breeding and augmentations it had become extremely difficult to identify who in fact had ancestral lineage belonging to Terra (Earth-1). And this became even less of a concern as Terra had become depleted of its resources completely - in the middle of the 24th century, with the planet being abandoned and given a five century blockade to allow the former home planet of the Terran Race to have a chance to 'go back to nature'. In the year 3000 - the 'Galactic Alliance' would return to the planet to recolonise it, only to discover an artefact simply known as the 'Pro Wrestling Wiki'. Elite scientists would use their extremely powerful tools to download all the important files, to create sleeves of this historical figures to create Terra's first platform of entertainment of the 31st century to entertain its growing population, but also to celebrate the planet's history which had long since been forgotten.

As the new colonists of earth combed through the archives of the library known as ‘Pro Wrestling Wiki’ they decided that this first ever wrestling pay per view event would share the same name as the original event that was discovered in the history books - Starcade.

With no real understanding of why anyone would want new characters, they instead decided to hire thespians and training athletes to place themselves into sleeve versions of various of the historic wrestlers that they had discovered during the excavation of the planet. It was also understood that the greatest and most prestigious tournament in the history of the art form was the King of the Ring event. So the colonists decided they would need to search through the archives and select sixteen wrestlers to take part in this tournament.

So Time Travellers, who are you selecting to be entrants in the King of the Ring Tournament? The first colonist puts their hand into the air and calls out two names:

"I select Harley Race & The British Bulldog!"
