The new WCW was offered 1 hour on a Friday afternoon, with the stipulation of going prime time as soon as WCW proves itself as turning over a new leaf.

1 Hour Timeslot, TNN NOT YET PRIME TIME

WCW Friday Nitro

We begin with a video of the histroy of WCW, and an introduction by Tony Schavonie.

Next, Eric Bischoff comes out to a huge ovation, with the WCW Championship Title in his hand.Bischoff introduces the fans to the "new" WCW, owned exclusively by him and about to changethe wrestling world. Bischoff says the BS of the past will be gone, and he will pull the trigger on some of the biggest things in WCW history. "The Bisch" announces his plans for the world title, and those are to have a four way dance tonight for the belt. As Bischoff reels off four huge names, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner, the WCW fans are in a frensy, but even moreso when suddenly, Ric Flair's music hits and Natich comes to the stage in Jacket and tie! "The Nature Boy" proceeds to reveal he is the WCW commissioner, and that he knows Bischoff, so he needs to know what the story is for him and Eric in the new WCW. Eric tells Flair all thats in the past is gone, and he wants to do what is best for WCW. Flair says he will have to learn to trust Eric. Flair says he wants to reveal the plans for the United States Title, a battle royal next week for the US Gold! Flair's music hits to close the segment, but the fans can see the clear ditstrust between Eric and Flair!

Opening Match: Vacant WCW World Cruiserweight Championship:
Rey Misterio J.r Vs Juventud Guerrera

It was important to begin the first Friday Nitro with a bang, and these two provided that bang, giving us cruiserweight action like only they can. Rey Rey and Juventud begin with chain wrestling, but after a quick arm-drag by Rey, the bout soon becomes a high flying war, with both wrestlers desperate to capture the vacant belt. Juventud floored Rey with a flying top rope lariat, and scored a near fall for his bother. Juventud attempted to slow Misterio J.r down with a sleeper, but Rey regained his feet and elbowed out. Rey then went on a rampage, hitting a flying head scissors and springboard splash, which almost ended the match. Rey is especially over as a babyface here, which is great for WCW, who have had big plans for Misterio as a face. Rey lands on his feet from a Juvi Driver attempt, and then rolls up Juvi, but it is not enough to keep "The Juice" down. Rey is reversed to the ropes, and then he ducks a clothesline, and comes off the opposite ropes with a springboard tornado DDT! 1-2-3! Rey wins and becomes the first "New WCW" Cruiserweight champion! The fans, who gave Rey a heroes welcome, give him a heroes farewell too, and Rey is visibly elated by the fan's response

Winner and new WCW Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Misterio J.r

We cut to the back, and new WCW signee Lance Storm is with "Mean Gene" Okerlund. Gene Okerlund asks what Lance hopes to accomplish in the new WCW. Storm is cocky, and he does his heel role well here.

WCW aopprently have big plans for Storm, who announced he would be in the US Title BattleRoyal next week, and WCW would never recover from the storm to come. Storm also rips apart America, and WCW have plans to bring in a heel stabel against the USA, led by Storm.

We are next treated to a video detailing the debut of Shawn "Val Venis" Morley in WCW. We are told he will debut in WCW soon, and this video shows him executing some big moves and posing in a dark setting. The voiceover says "Get ready for the new millenium wrestler, coming to the new WCW!" To be perfectly honest WCW are worrying slightly if Shawn will get over, and are trying to play it cool, and see how the fans react to these videos as an indication of how they will react to him.

Next wee see Jeff Jarrett, strutting down the hall, but he then enters.... Eric Bischoff's office?

Diamond Dallas Page Vs Billy Kidman W/Torrie Wilson

DDP recieved another huge welcome, ready for his new WCW debut, and he is wrestling Kidman. Kidman comes out arrogantly, and WCW have announced their plans are to use Kidman as a heel. Some questioned this, but Billy seems to be doing okay here, being disrespctfulto the fans and Page. The only problem with this match was the length. Being a one hour show, WCW need to make the middle match shorter,in order to fit segments and interviews around it. Page begins with a bang, no pun intended, and hammers Kidman, forcing Billy to go the outside.Whilst on the floor, Kidman is rude to the audience members, and lure Page out. Just as Page gets out, Kidman gets back in the ring and Page is met with a boot when he re-enters. Kidman hits a snap suplex and then a dropkick, followed by a top rope missile dropkick. page kicked out, and moved out of the way of a shooting star press. Page hits a big discus clothesline, and right on cue, Torrie wilson gest up on the apron to distract DDP/ DDP grabs her in a the Cutter position, but Kidman comes from behind with a lowblow and a rollup with the tights! 1-2-3! Kidman achieves one of his biggest ever WCW wins, by cheating. What an ass! The fans boo the guy as he smugly leaves with Torrie. Page is incredulous in the ring, but it will go down as a win for the new attitude Billy Kidman!!!

Winner: Billy Kidman

Promo for Kevin Nash, "Big Sexy" will be on Friday Nitro next week!!!

Okay, Billy Gunn sends a message to the arena. Apprently, the guy will be known as "The Outlaw", but is it wide for WCW to even sign him? Was it just to get a WWF name, same with Shawn Morley? Or can they really become stars?

Ric Flair is asking questions backstage as to the whereabouts of Bischoff and Jarrett. What is going on?

Hulk Hogan is with Gene Okerlund. Hulk was responsible for a lot of the problems in the old WCW, but it is great that he is onboard in the new WCW, as long as he stays in line. Hulk does his usual routine, saying he is gonna eat all their asses and become the new Champion. Gene asks him about Bischoff, and what he thinks of the situation of Bischoff behaving shadily. Hulk says it is not his place to say, he is focused on the belt brother.

Short promo for the main event, and just as it finishes, it is time for the entrances and introductions.

Four Way Threat for the Vacant WCW Title:
Hulk Hogan Vs Jeff Jarrett Vs Sting Vs Scott Steiner w/ Midajah

Okay, so once Hulky, Jeff and Steiner have made their entrance, Sting gets a phenomenal response! This must have been good to hear for Bischoff, who was honestly wondering whether to still use Sting. As for this match, he fans lapped it up, and the action was decent. Early on, the whole thing was a brawl on the outside of the ring. However, once everyone was in the ring, Steiner began to suplex each guy out of their boots. Steiner T-Boned Hulk Hogan lastly, and covered him for a near fall. Steiner, who was cheered also, delivered his elbow and pressups move on Jarrett, but then Sting attacked him from behind with the facecrusher. After more spirited action, Hogan hulked up on Jarrett and proceeded to deliver the big boot, as the fans went nuts. Hulk came off for the leg drop, and got it! It appeared the "Immortal One" was once again going to capture the title, but Sting spoiled Hulk's fun by breaking the pin. Sting applied the deathlock on Hulk, but Jarrett broke that up and hit The Stroke on Sting. Jarrett went for The Stroke on Steiner, but Steiner turned it into a devastating belly to belly suplex for a very close near-fall. Steiner then accidentally sent Jarrett crashing into the referee, allowing Jarrett to grab a steel chair and thwack Steiner over the noggin. Hulk then attacked "Double J", and floored him with another big boot! However, at this point, Eric Bischoff suddenly sprinted to the ring! Bischoff, armed with a chair, nailed Hulk in the back! Hogan did the old no-sell and turned into a shot to the noggin, busting him wide open. The crowd are astounded, Bischoff just layed out one of his best friends with a chair! Tony Schavonie is nearly having a seizure at ringside! Suddenly, we are shocked again as Booker T, Kidman and new WCW signee Mike Awesome run in and beat down the other three, as Jarrett nails Hulk with The Stroke and covers him. Bischoff puts on the ref's shirt and that's it! In a shocking turn of events, Jeff Jarrett becomes the first "New WCW" Champion! As Jarrett raises the belt, he embraces Bischoff, Kidmanm, Booker and Mike Awesome as the crowd watch in disbelief! And if Hulk hadn't had enough, The monstrous Awesome proceeded to AwesomeBomb him!

Winner and new WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett

As the assholes celebrate, out comes Ric Flair to the stage in shock. Bischoff grabs the mic and says he duped him again! Bischoff says the old WCW was a piece of crap because of Flair and dare he say.... Hogan! Bischoff introduces Flair and the crowd to "The New Blood" of the business! Bischoff says a new day is dawning, the NB will taker thier rightful spots from the veterans.

Flair is flabbreghasted as Nitro goes off the air.

END OF SHOW
