Vince got someone tweeting for him so the OMG isn’t that farfetched

PWTorch editor Wade Keller has given some notes on Vince retiring, after talking to various sources in and out of WWE, as well as his own thoughts. This is a PWTorch VIP exclusive article so I'm not going to just copy and paste, but here is a short summary of what he said:

  • Vince isn't expected to return in any way in the future.
  • People are worried about what happens to Vince next, as he has no hobbies or social circle outside of wrestling.
  • Bruce Prichard remains in the company as essentially head of creative and Kevin Dunn keeps his current role. It is unlikely that Dunn will remain there for the long-term however.
  • Changes are expected, but they will be gradual as the company want to demonstrate stability to stakeholders including stockholders, partners and sponsors.
  • Vince leaving shortly before the big MSG show on Monday implies that there is a serious situation where Vince could not stay any longer. Vince has a lot of love for that arena.
  • It's in the company's interest to keep Vince happy because he is still a large share holder, and so changes in direction, structure and personnel will likely consider his opinion.
  • Many wrestlers are optimistic that this change can help them, and it is expected that different talent will move up and down the company's priority going forward, but it is unlikely to be a sudden shakeup.
  • The women wrestlers are the most optimistic about the news because Stephanie is a supporter of women's wrestling and she is well-liked.
  • Some people in WWE think that Naomi and Sasha could return as their biggest grief was with Vince. However, other management may still hold a grudge against them both.
  • The co-CEO structure is unusual in big companies. Stephanie and Nick aren't said to be close but also not enemies.
  • Some discontented wrestlers in AEW are happy because they hope that WWE may show an interest in them now when that may not have been the case before.

Completely forgot Monday was in MSG. It is crazy that Vince bowed out before that show

Vince is still the company's largest shareholder and owns most of the votes.

That is true but since it's a public company and he is not on the board of directors he cannot influence the company business unless he calls a shareholders meeting. Legally, Steph is the boss now.

Even majority shareholders have to follow certain rules for public companies.

I just finished reading that article. The writer needs a reprimand from his editor because that article is poorly researched and very incorrect.
