Cody did an interview with CVV when Chris asked him about specifically how he’s never talk bad about AEW and Cody jokingly said do you want to change that and then went on to talking about how his AEW run ended and how certain fans really need for the narrative to be that he was really bad and he wasn’t needed for AEW’s success and that they pushed him out, and etc. etc.

Interestingly, I just listened to the this clip for the first time instead of reading it and Cody is still trying to be as respectful as possible when saying this, and even says that for the longest time he didn’t care to change this perspective because of how much respect he still has for AEW.

At the end of the day, Cody is having the run of his life as WWE Champion and the Bucks/Elite are tag team / TNT / continental champions. They’re ruling both sides of the wrestling world.
