Don't think this has been pointed out yet either but the internal investigation they said they would do that ended up reporting the amount of payments Vince made for financial statements reasons seems to have just been that. Figuring out how much money they needed to report to the IRS, not investigating actual wrong doing as the woman was never even interviewed despite being willing to cooperate.

And they have no way to claim ignorance because her name had already been leaked by Brad Shepherd...which she alleges WWE leaked to him too

I don't think anyone could actually try and use that to justify anyway bc when Vince came back he got all the board members who actually had an issue with him off of it and kept the ones that didn't. So if anything, that portion of the company can only be worse than it was when this was happening
