Agreed. Especially because it very often seems like people who do say that we need to move on from a serious issue normally say it because of guilt... i.e. Ford pardoning Nixon so the country can move on. Or those who think people should move on from what Roman Polanski did because it was so long ago.

Innocent people generally welcome investigations because it clears them. The only people who benefit from "moving on" are guilty people.

I can get the idea of wanting to not have to worry about it because it is distressing when it has happened to someone you know in a place you worked (guilty or not), but when something is this serious, then you need to give the time to investigate, find out what happened. Then you can make changes to prevent it from happening again or heck, even if it is a situation where someone isn't liable, at the very least go "Okay. Let's avoid something like this actually happening."

Once the truth is out and we take steps, then we can "move on" and heal.

From this, a cleaner, safer, nicer environment from all can hopefully emerge. I don't doubt for one second that this sort of stuff wasn't happening elsewhere. The fact you compare Sammy's vile comments to sex trafficking and what Ric Flair did to this day is fucking wild. Sammy comments were dumb and fucked up. There were still not remotely on the fucking level of what Ric did or what happened in WWE just because Mone is your fav. Also guess what?
