I don't know why WWF called it the World title title here, but WWE retroactively still consider it the WCW title until it merges with the WWF.

Yeah it's got the same lineage, it's just called "World Championship" here smh coulda gave it the heavyweight criteria at least

I prefer titles not to be called "heavyweight" unless there's an actual weight class restriction tbh

I do too most of the time but if there's nothing else I like it to add some flavor. So "World Heavyweight Championship" > "World Championship" with no acronym in front. WWE should have just done better naming for both tho lol

Even after this match they call it the WCW Championship.

Jericho is considered the last WCW Champion.

Vince was just being petty sicne he wanted to bury WCW since it was still 2001. But yeah, give it the heavyweight at least on the PPV. But he doesn't even give the WWF world or heavyweight.

What amazes me is that Jericho is still doing the Lionsault to this day.
