Update on the WWE Championship Design

CM Punk was asked at the Comic-Con panel over the weekend when the new design for the WWE Championship would be unveiled. Punk said that he had no idea, but that "they're working on it."

Punk was then asked if he had any input in the new belt, to which he replied, "I'd like to say that I have a little bit of say in that, but I just keep getting the runaround. I don't know if they're saving the new design for somebody else or what the deal is. But they're sick of me asking about it, I know that."

So WWE are working on a design... What do you hope the design will be like?

Didn't we recently have pics from the American Choppers guy making a new belt? Assuming his was legit then the design is already finished and will be arriving in a matter of time. If his is false then they probably just don't give a shit about a new belt.

In a perfect world, they unify both world titles, keep the big gold belt, but the lineage for the WWE title. That'll never happen, but it's what I've been hoping for for awhile since I have a hard-on for that belt.

They'll never change it. So long as Wigger Jorts Cena keeps selling merchandise.

With that said, they missed an absolutely GOLDEN opportunity to have Punk completely RUIN the legacy of John Cena after he got his push during the summer of 2011. They could have had such a memorable moment by having Punk unveil a new belt, and then throwing the Wigger Spinner in a wood chipper on live TV, talking about erasing the legacy of Cena. They could still do this, you know. He'd get so many pops if they were in a smarky city like Chicago or New York.

You won't get far with thinking like that. I think they are going to keep the strap on Punk until he surpasses Cena's longest reign, and then have him change it.

At least the belt doesn't spin anymore though, they stopped that a few years ago, so now it's just ugly.

They have been talking about it for so long that I doubt it will happen anytime soon. It will be a nice surprise when they bring in a new belt but it will probably be at least a year away. They missed the best opportunity when Punk took the title from Cena, now the next best opportunity would be when Punk's title reign hits 1 year.

I think it would be pointless to tell us when the belt was actually gonna be changed if it is gonna be changed. So think all these non updates is to keep the idea on our minds but don't know when to expect it.
