Regarding Mick Foley and WWE, The Wrestling Observer reports that the two sides are talking and most expect some kind of deal to eventually be made.

Foley was asked today by a fan on Twitter if he would consider being a WWE guy again. Foley responded, "Sure, I would - I'm considering it right now."

Foley also asked fans if they had heard any good wrestling rumors lately, possibly responding to reports that he was spotted at last night's SmackDown tapings in Philadelphia. The Observer added that Foley was scheduled to be in Philadelphia last night but didn't have it confirmed.
Outside of the obvious legends deal, i'm really not sure what sort of spot there is for him. Ever since he announced he was leaving TNA I always imagined him being revealed as the anonymous GM, but with Trips taking over that avenue seems dead.

Yeah i thought the same thing when he left TNA Dale couldn't picture it happening and don't think he would be up for returning to the announce table, so maybe a few appearances here and there.

I kind of wish he would return to the ring but that's just me. I love Foley and I think he's in the same shape he was ten years ago. I know he won't be returning to the ring, well at least not full time, but I guess I can dream. It sure would help since Jericho left though.

Oh it'd help especially on Smackdown, but eh seems unlikely but i wouldn't mind a few more matches from Mick.

According to Dave Meltzer, there are talks backstage in WWE about Mick Foley possibly having one final big match at next year's Wrestlemania. Meltzer reports that Foley might agree to do one more match so his youngest kids can see have the memory of seeing him wrestle in the WWE live.

Part of Foley's agreement for getting an early release from TNA is that he cannot appear on WWE television until the time his contract would have expired in September. Not only is it expected that he will be back with WWE in some capacity, but also he is strongly rumored to be part of the WWE '12 video game.
So seems like he'd be in the same boat as Nash in terms of using him for merch but same time letting him have one more big feud maybe. He is pretty embarrassing in the ring nowadays so I don't know if I want to see him do one more match. I'm sick to death of him being a gm type guy too so I guess only thing left for him to do that I would like to see is be a manager which I think he could do pretty well with the right guy.

Manager's a good idea to throw around if manager's in the first place were something that WWE liked doing. They have pretty much gotten rid of that role.

He's the same in the ring now as he was fifteen years ago.

15 years ago? Nah not at all. You really need to watch mind games with HBK vs Mankind which is one of his greatest matches that wasn't even a gimmick match. Was way quicker in the ring then as opposed to now. He was better in the ring than he was given credit for back then.

Yeah in one of his books(or maybe it was his DVD set) he does state that he was in the best shape of his life for Mind Games.
