Simple controls in a fighting/wrestling/mma game= PWNAGE.

Simple enough to get the hang of the game but have enough room to really get strings of moves going.

What are everyones thoughts on the ground game in Undisputed?

Idk but I got it from gamestop so I could get the additional fighters. Mainly cause I'm a Bader fan.

Allrite, me being the guy that knows nothing about UFC, I bought this off ebay for 73 bucks including postage from CANADA. Kthnx Canada, you finally helped me with something. That's an absolute bargain, based on the fact they're flogging it for $110.

So, hows the gameplay, and do I need to have like much of a knowledge of UFC to be able to do well at these games. It might sound stupid at first, but I don't know the rules, moves and all that kind of stuff.

Gameplay is Amazing

Probably the most realistic fighting game ever

Fighters are very much real life like in looks and actual fighting techniques

I have a quick question though

I have been trying to learn how to do very effective submissions. Im kinda getting the hang of them and have about 7 submissions in ranked matches, along with 4 KOs "One of them KOs was first punch of the fight" and 2 TKOs. Anyone mastered the art of submission? and can you help me or give any helpful advice?

I too loved the game when I first played it... But 6 hours into it.. It gets dull. This is from a person vs person perspective though on the PS3 UFC Unleashed game.

All the fights are the same between weight classes.. Just the match pace quickens or slows... Its always a random knockout victory when fighting a friend. I've been on the ground beating him helplessly all of round 1 and he doesn't get knocked out.. Start of the second round we're lightly throwing fists.. I go for a high kick and he goes for a strong punch and bam I'm KO'd... My friend (who bought it) had three fights in a row facing his brother where he ended up doing a well timed superman punch and ending all 3 fights in under a minute.

Now I'll give it props... Some fights where KO's don't happen 1st and 2nd round were fun as hell.. And some of the knockouts are pretty damn sick. We only got to the third round three times, and only one of those was decided by the refs..In which I lost when I thought I had it.. Bastards.. But getting to the third round was either because A. We fought on the ground the entire match. Or B. We blocked EVERY LAST strong or any sort of "increased knockout" offense that we used against each other. So it was definitely an "Oh shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Oh thank god... Shit!" Kind of match.

Submission is useless.. Granted myself, my friend, and his bro are all basically equally skilled at the game... There were only 2 submission victories in 6 hours of fights because A. There's not a ton of submissions. B. Its really hard and tiring to spin the stick like a maniac multiple times in a row.. When we spin the same speed the guy in the submission always breaks out. C. The only times a submission worked is when my friend didn't even know I actually had him in a chokehold, and the other time I swear was luck cuz we were both dieing and trying to spin like the tasmanian devil lol. But honestly the next day my forearm and my friends forearm felt like we pulled a muscle cuz it hurt everytime we used our right arm lol.

So thats my thoughts on it.. I just don't see tons of replay value. Certainly not 30+ hours like some games. Will I play it again if my friend offers? Sure. Will I play it for more than 1-2 hours? Nope. Will I buy it or rent it to try the career or single player fights? Naww.

Don't like UFC but I played the demo and I loved it. I might end up buying it one day but I got a few other games I gotta buy first. I'll be renting it Tuesday(day my game I got out right now has to be back) so if anyone on 360 would wanna play then I'll go at it. I'll probably use Brock Lesnar or Chuck Liddell*used him on the demo...got a 9 second knockout*

About what you said you disliked about the game seemed to be the realness of the game which kinda through me for a loop. You said you have him on the ground beating him all the first round and he doesn't get Ko'd. Well shit happens and then you go on to say you go for a high kick and he power hit you in the face and your knocked out. Well shit the bed, if you go for a high kick and he swings on your wide open face and Ko's you it makes perfect sence.

Next you talk about how there's only 2 knockouts in 6 hours of gameplay, that also makes sence. I just got back from watchin UFC 98 and there were 6 televised fight and not one of them ended in submission. Just doesn't happen too much. Granted your argument about the sticks is correct but still they did that to make the submisssions that much harder cuase as I said it's rare.

I learned from the best today, submissions are easy as fuck. I pretty much submit everyone on the first Kimura I try now.

Graphics wise, it's great. Depth wise (in terms of amount of fighters) it's great, with about 80 guys, and it's great in terms of glitches. I haven't seen one yet. It's also great in terms of detail such as the tatoo's, the statistics, intros, etc.
Gameplay is also pretty solid. All the basic moves are there. They could add a bit more, but seeing as this is the first major game for them (the previous ones in the early 2000s were really a whole different series, and nowhere near as good), they'll get more moves as they make new games.
Overall, it's a fun game, and has great graphics. My only complaint is that the length of fights can be short, but I've realised that comes from unrealistic play. You inda have to pace yourself. If you go and just start tossing fists, it'll end quicker than most real fights, because most real fights don't happen like that. If you play with some pace and realism, it comes off great.
Overall, I'm pleased.

Ya but its the fact in other fights I can do the same punch or strong kick to him 7 times in round one and block all of his.. and then in the 2nd round he gets 1 off on me and I'm done. As much as I know this CAN happen IRL... It just makes the "skill" level of this game.. Not there. As there are so often wins that happen with luck.

Ok that argument is somewhat fair.. But thats 1 PPV and 6 fights with 0 submissions... We did a TON of fights.. lets say the average is 3 minutes.. cuz only one in like every 3 made round 2 and lots ended in round one. Thats 20 fights in an hour, which in 6 hours is 120 fights.. I'm sure if you look at a random 120 fights in UFC history there's more than 2 submission wins.

I dunno if you're facing friends or people online... Or if you are facing computers in which case submissions certainly aren't too hard.

Or if you've found this glitch: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/act...how_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-49628182&pid=949120
