I am excited to see Silva back, which is why i hated picking against him. But i think Gustaffson has a bright future in that division, especially if Jon Jones does end up bumping up to heavyweight eventually.

Paulo Thiago got KTFO with some weak ass shit man.

Stann looked decent, so did Sakara till the weird KO. Probably FOTN from what I saw, Siver/Nunes was a bit of a letdown. Good stoppage though, a Stann v Munoz fight makes sense from here.

Main event was just OK. I hated the commentary over-selling Gus as the exact replica of Jon Jones, because he really isn't anywhere near that class yet. I hate the commentary in general without :rogan: anyway.

Not the greatest card to watch but just good to see some MMA I guess.

Here's the fight Bonuses and Live gate and attendance.

STOCKHOLM – Siyar Bahadurzada, John Maguire, Brad Pickett and Damacio Page each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at today's UFC on FUEL TV 2 event.

Bahadurzada earned the night's "Knockout of the Night" bonus, Maguire picked up the "Submission of the Night" award, and Pickett and Page took home "Fight of the Night" honors.

UFC president Dana White announced the winners following the event.

UFC on FUEL TV 2 took place at Stockholm's Ericsson Globe Arena. It was the UFC's first event in Sweden.

The event's main card aired on FUEL TV, and the prelims streamed on Facebook. All three bonus-winning fights took place on the night's main card.

Bahadurzada needed just 42 seconds to knock out welterweight Paulo Thiago for a successful UFC debut. The newcomer connected with a right hand as Thiago rushed forward, and the Brazilian went out cold as he hit the canvas face first.

Maguire met fellow welterweight DaMarques Johnson in a chess match of a fight. But after a series of first-round submission attempts, Maguire got the tap-out in the second round with an armbar.

Pickett and Page, meanwhile, met in bantamweight barn-burner. Pickett, though, ultimately got the victory via second-round rear-naked choke after dazing Page with hooks and uppercuts and taking the fight to the mat. Pickett now has picked up back-to-back "Fight of the Night" awards.

STOCKHOLM – Today's UFC on FUEL TV 2 event drew 15,428 attendees for a $2.23 million live gate.

MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) confirmed the attendance and gate figures at the night's post-event press conference.

The event, which took place at Stockholm's Ericsson Globe Arena, set a venue record for a live gate at a sporting event, UFC president Dana White said.

Without a local athletic commission working in Sweden, official figures won't be available for the show, which included a main card on FUEL TV and prelims on Facebook.

UFC on FUEL TV 2, which featured Swede Alexander Gustafsson's unanimous-decision victory over Thiago Silva in the headliner, produced one of the biggest non-pay-per-view events in UFC history.

According to figures compiled by MMAjunkie.com, UFC on FUEL TV 2 also ranked among the top-five all-time attendance tallies and gate figures for the UFC's European shows.

The all-time top UFC-European attendance figures include:
17,133 - UFC 120 (The O2 Arena in London)
16,693 - UFC 105 (MEN Arena in Manchester, England)
16,235 - UFC 75 (The O2 Arena in London)
15,428 - UFC on FUEL TV 2 (Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm)
15,327 - UFC 85 (The O2 Arena in London)

I was at a friends house watching the show so i didn't really get to concentrate on it, but I'm going to download it and give my thoughts on it tomorrow. HATE NOT HAVING FUEL TV ANYMORE.

I'll get more into it this week on my experience but wow what an event. I got to sit with Ariel in his reserved table with nine other people. That's what you get for showing up early! I got to talk to him privately for ten minutes after everyone left mostly about wrestling because we talked lot of UFC during the show.

The first fight with Pickett was really enjoyable with the crazy beginning. It was just two crazy guys just going after each other. Ariel was shocked to see Johnson get that dominated along with most people at the bar. Siver looked pretty damn good and it was awesome to see him win. Everyone couldn't believe Thiago got knocked out from that. It looked so weak from replays. Brian Stann reminds me of some American hero, he should star in the next Marine movie that the WWE is making if that makes any sense. Anyway he looked impressive and it was funny to see him back off at the end. The main event was pretty average with Silva really disappointing. Silva never really went for combinations and looked doom from the start. I didn't really hear the commentary but Ariel sounds really high on Alex. He's got a bright future but I want to see him fight someone in the top 10 rankings. Overall pretty solid PPV, but the experience with fifty people in the room and the fact I sat two spots from Ariel and his wife was awesome. The reason he wasn't there and won't be there for Jones-Evans is because the baby is due to arrive soon. He's bummed to miss Evans Jones but obviously he's stoked to become a father. Anyway on to next week's madness!

Can't believe I forgot about this show, for some reason I thought it was tomorrow and didn't remember that UFC events air on Sunday's here.

Very happy to see that Gustafsson won the fight, he has a bright future ahead and this is a strong win for him. Happy to see Stann get a convincing win as well. Overall it sounds like an alright show. Next week is the big one though.

I'll say this about Gustaffson, i really DON'T want him to take on Jones, Rasahd or even Hendo next. I'd like to see him slowly climb the ranks, maybe Ryan Bader should be his next fight then maybe Shogun or Machida. But i do think he has a bright future and has championship contender written all over him.

I can agree with that, he got beat by Phil Davis is his only loss, and when you see how easy Rashad took apart Davis it shows you how far Gus is away from that level.

Machida v Gustafsson would be kinda boring IMO, Machida is about as defensive minded as they come and even though the commentary was raving about Gus' movement and 'amazing footwork', all he really did was what Condit did to Diaz.

Shogun would make for a good fight obviously. His stock is high after the Hendo fight too, what a name to have on yr record.

Bader is probably the smartest option though.
