UFC's debut in Sweden, this show takes place on April 14th. Little Nog coming off a beat down of Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 and Gustafasson coming off a win at UFC 142, Hendo was originally offered the fight with Nogueria but turned it down and Gustafasson stepped in and took the fight, I'll be pulling for him in this fight actually.

Ok main card, prelims are as shit as you'd expect for a small card like this.

Hope Gustaf wins because I cant stand the Nogs, good fight though, a legit 50/50 one too. Gustafsson is talented but equally awkward. Nog is overrated IMO, but still has enough big fight savvy to take this. Gustaf looked better in his common loss to Phil Davis than Nog did though if thats any marker.

Sakara is mediocre, Stann should bang him out in style.

Nunes/Siver is probably the cert for FOTN, it has rankings on the line here too because I can easily see the winner being in line for Aldo, maybe after one more win.

Yeah Prelim card is shit, but sometimes they end up being better than the main card.

And I'm pulling for Gustaffson basically for the reasons you stated, Nunes-Siver is probably the fight I'm looking forward too most other than the Main event.

Looks like we will all be cheering on Gustafsson for this fight. I am another that can't stand the Nogs and Gustafsson has impressed me so far in UFC. Stann should be able to get everything back on track with a win here. Looking forward to basically all the main card fights which is all that will probably be shown in Australia anyway.

Antonio Rogério Nogueira told TATAME TV that his plan when fighting Alexander Gustafsson, on April 14, is to go for the knockout. The Sweden, on an interview to TATAME, said it would be a mistake and that he is “ready to stand-up” against the Brazilian. Facing Gustafsson’s confidence, Rogerio claims to be cool about it.
“Absolutely I’ll stand-up”, answers the two-time Brazilian and South American champion of Boxing, while talking to TATAME. “He claims to have great experience, but I haven’t seen him fighting the best boxers of the world. I’ve had the chance to do it at Pan (bronze medal), South American, amateur Brazilian titles… I believe I’m much more experienced than him”.

Later during the interview, Alexander undermined Rogerio’s win via knockout over Tito Ortiz, at UFC 140, claiming that the American “gave it (the win) to him”.

“Tito Ortiz didn’t give me the fight. He resisted a lot, he felt almost knocked out after the knee, but it took a while for him to ask the referee to stop the contest”, responds Nogueira, criticizing his rival about his statements about Ortiz. “I worship my victory a lot. I gotta respect him and there’s no reason for Gustafsson to do it”.

And yeah troy it looks like we all want Gustafsson to get the win here, just because I'm a fan of fights going the distance I'm going to say he gets it by decision but if not I'll go with with a TKO.

Alessio Sakara is excited about returning to Europe. The Italian, who hasn’t compete in that continent since 2008, now faces Brian Stann on April 14th, in Sweden, and believes his stand-up will be enough to get his seventh win in the UFC.

“I really believe my Boxing skills for this fight but we train it all. We’ll see if I have to change my game plan on this oneâ€, Sakara told TATAME in Portuguese.

How are the trainings for the fight?

As per use, the trainings here at ATT are great. There’re many good sparrings. Me and Thiago Silva train a lot together and it’s all perfect for this fight.

Stann is a hard guy to fight against. What are the expectations?

He is a tough guy and it was close to Anderson’s fight, but it’s not impossible beating him. You just have to be ready for it… And that’s why I train at ATT.

Do you believe in your Boxing to beat him up?

I really believe my Boxing skills for this fight but we train it all. We’ll see if I have to change my game plan on this one.

What have you learned from his fight versus Chael Sonnen?

Sonnen was perfect against him and I’m sure I can beat him if things take place on the ground.

You had a good sequence of results in the UFC but many injuries and replaced opponents got in the way. Are you ready for a new phase in the event?

I didn’t have much luck these last couple of years, but I’m coming back with everything I’ve got to get rid of this bad luck that’s been stalking me.

You have fought only once a year these last years. Is the idea to win and comeback as soon as possible?

I really want that, but I can’t say anything because every time I plan things stuff happens, so I think it’s better not to say anything.

Will it be different fighting in Europe, close to home?

Yes. There’ll be many Italians, especially since it’s been so long I last fought in Europe. I’m happy about it.

Do you hope to see a UFC Italy someday?

Absolutely. The sooner the better.

Sakara has the better striking in my opinion, but Stann has more power and i don't think Sakara is going to be able to deal with that, we saw this in the Leben fight and the Houston Alexander fight.

Little Nog out, Thiago Silva in.

Following a knee injury suffered in training for his April 14th bout against Alexander Gustafsson, Rogerio Nogueira has been forced to withdraw from the UFC on FUEL TV main event in Stockholm, Sweden. Stepping in for Lil' Nog will be another hard-hitting Brazilian, Thiago Silva, who is returning to the Octagon for the first time since January of 2011

This changes my pick for that fight.

I'm pullin for Thiago to win. Been waitin for him to return. The guy always brings it in each fight he has and those heavy hands are lethal. He needs to get back on the winning track quick after the Vera crap. Silva better pee clean too.

Much more interested in this fight now. I thought that Gustafsson had a win pencilled in before against Lil Nog but this will be more even but I am still backing him to win against Thiago. Be interesting to see how Thiago goes after being out of it for more than a year.

Fact that there hasn't been any new UFC events since UFC 144 is killing me, this show is right before UFC 145 so i can't wait for it. I've been watching Bellator and what not but still.

Looking forward to this show, just cause it's been almost a month since there's been a UFC card, which is crazy with how many fights there's been lately.
