Gil should come out w/ his title and claim to be real world champion, Ric Flair style.

Hardy's got a heart defect btw, why he wasn't cleared.

I haven't seen much of Thomson, anyone have a clear idea of his chances against someone as good as Nate?

Diaz is probably a better striker than Thomson, but I'd imagine Thomson will use his wrestling here to try and get the win.

If You haven't seen him fight you should check out Thomson's last fight against Melendez from last summer, could probably make the argument that he won that fight.

He won all three fights vs Melendez but got shafted twice by judging, IMO.

Not sure if he ups his game vs Melendez or is just very inconsistent. He's one of my fave fighters since the Franca fight, but never looked brilliant outside of the Gil trilogy, kind of like what Marquez is to Pacquiao in boxing.

He's def a top 5 guy for sure. I take him over Diaz every time.

I got to watch some of his fights then but man he sounds like a bigger real than people make him out to be. I love Nate and still have faith him, he pretty much dominated a wrestler in Jim Miller. Is Thomson that much better than Miller?

Bendo is basically my #1 favorite fighter right now, but I'd be a fool to say Melendez is gonna be a pushover. The fight should be good with a lot of action though.

I haven't seen one of these episodes on Fox yet, so I wanted to check this out because this card is incredible. They highlighted the three major fights, which was well done production wise. I didn't know much about Thomason, he came off as a cool guy. I've watched some of his fights and I'm starting to lean in favor for picking him over Diaz. Melendez came off very humble, but I highly doubt I'm picking against Bendo. The other two fights I'm stumped on, especially Thomason-Diaz. I know many people don't like Mir, but you got to respect how he wants to improve even more at age 33. I'm still leaning towards Cormier, but never count out Mir especially now that he's at Jackson's. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

Out of 12 people I've talked to, my brother is the only person taking Mir. The two major fights should be competitive, but it seems clear that Henderson and Cormier are going to win. Thomason-Diaz though should be really fun and pretty unpredictable.

I'm stoked for this card, really think this will be the best Fox card since it's started.

Well another mostly uneventful win for Benson. Was really hoping for a Gilbert win to shake up the division at the top a bit, Bensons a talented fighter but nothing exciting really happens in his fights. Just jabs and leg kicks no ones ever close to being finished unless they come off the side of the cage with a Showtime Kick.

Did you watch his five round beatdown of Nate Diaz? How was that uneventful? He looked fantastic in that fight, along with the first fight against Edgar. He didn't look great in this, but he deserves praise for his title reign. The guy is extremely talented and it was a fun fight.

Also props to him for the epic proposal in the end. Don't think they'll ever be a better post fight interview than that.

Agreed, Bendo is definitely not a fighter I'd put on a list of those who put on uneventful fights. He's aggressive as hell and he always looks great. I agree that this fight wasn't his most exciting, but not every fight is going to light the world on fire. This was definitely tough to score. Honestly, before I saw that Bendo was landing considerably more strikes than Melendez, I could've thought Melendez had it locked up. He was really coming at Bendo but I guess that given that basically no one did anything too spectacular, it really came down to the striking. Melendez got the one takedown, but wasn't able to do anything with it so no surprise that he wasn't awarded major point there. He likely won that round, but as usual Henderson has those lightning fast kicks. Henderson is my favorite fighter right now and he's a class act, so I'm glad he won. I only watched the fight and didn't see the decision because I left the bar early... figured Bendo was gonna win and either way, I could just get the decision online. Didn't know that the part of the fight everyone would be talking about would've happened in the post fight interview. I wasn't surprised that Frank Mir didn't impress as he hasn't in a long time. The UFC's most inconsistent fighter managed to at least be consistently average tonight. I was surprised he didn't get at least one takedown since that's where he's deadliest. I can't stand the Diaz brothers so I was glad that Nate Diaz got embarrassed again. He's such a disrespectful clown that I always enjoy watching both him and his pathetic brother lose.

Other than the Diaz brothers comment, I agree with everything you say. I love the Diaz brothers, but that's our personal pre fences. Thomson looked really good and took it to Diaz with his own game. I thought he had to make this fight to ugly, but he stood up with Diaz and knocked him out. Personally I think he deserves a title shot, but I hear the winner of Grant-Maynard is getting the next title shot. Don't agree with that at all, although Maynard vs Henderson could be a lot of fun.

Man Frank Mir is one of my favorites of all time, but the fight was so painful. Cormier did a good job and held him down hard. I had high expectations for the fight and it was a complete dud. There wasn't many hard shots and not a lot of great moments. I thought Cormier played it safe and it hurt the fight. That being said, Mir looked in the best shape going into this fight and totally flopped. I thought he was going to lock in a gullotine at one point as well. I'm still trying to wipe the stink off that fight, even though Cormier fought smart.

Mir is starting to become like my other all time favorite Rashad Evans. Both guys have looked pretty terrible in the past two fights. I'm going to go watch Mir breaking Nog's arm to try to cheer me up.

Yeah I saw that fight too, he was dominant but there wasn't any real exciting moments. He either has a Edgar II or Melendez style jab/leg kick fest or he dominates but doesn't really do anything exciting. There's rarely any "wow this fight is almost over" moments in a Bendo fight.

I'm not denying his talent though.

Hopefully people stop underrating my boy Thomson now. Props to Nate for staying on his feet after that first head kick, but it was always gonna be Josh's night.

Brown/Mein was a lot of funs, and Mir showed he has nothing left. Surprised he lasted the distance tbh.

Thought Gil shaded it, but it was too close to call with any certainty. Not really interested in either Grant nor Maynard getring a shot, would rather they made Thomson vs Jim Miller in an eliminator.
