Show was just perfect from exciting finishes, great fights, the title shot situation. Really good all around and PPV worthy.

Here's fight night bonuses.

LOS ANGELES – Joe Lauzon, Mike Swick and Jamie Varner each earned $50,000 bonus awards for their performances at Saturday's "UFC on FOX: Shogun vs. Vera" event.

Swick earned the "Knockout of the Night" award, Lauzon and Varner each earned "Fight of the Night" awards and Lauzon even double-dipped with a "Submission of the Night" bonus and took home $100,000 in total.

MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) learned of the winners and bonus amounts at the night's post-event news conference, where they were announced by UFC officials.

UFC on FOX 4 took place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, the promotion's third trip to that venue. The event's main card aired on FOX following prelims on FUEL TV.

Thought Machida's KO was better, but am glad for Swick after his long layoff.

Here's the early numbers for this show.

Aug 5, 2012 - In the considerable shadow of the Olympics, Saturday night's UFC on FOX 4 was never expected to win the evening's ratings battle. The fight card produced a considerable amount of action and drama, but in the end, the ratings reflected the difficulty of stacking up against a powerhouse sports property.

The event, highlights by a main event pitting former UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua against Brandon Vera, saw its highest ratings in the last half-hour, when approximately 2.36 million tuned in for the showcase fight.

The preliminary ratings were released by TV By The Numbers, which noted that final ratings for the night's broadcast were not available.

Seeing as they were up against the Olympics, I'd say 2.4 Million viewers is a pretty decent number, and right around the same numbers as the last Fox show did back in May. Final numbers will be out tomorrow sometime, so it could go up or down.

This was a great card, too bad it looked totally ignored during the Olympics, IO don't think io seen any pub from Fox on this card either.

Easily the best card of the year. Joe Silva deserves some props on this card, good show for a mainstream audience that shows what a UFC show could be.
