Yea by the average making 11k I'm sure they meant every wannabe fighter from every half ass organization around.. UFC fighters still don't make as much as you would think outside of top guys. The thing about insurance really made me go hmmm. Apparently UFC doesn't give you full insurance, they only cover you for injuries that happen in UFC fights. So if you get a bad injury in training or something and don't have your own insurance you have to pay out of pocket for dr bills, surgery, ect.

There was a thread on Sherdog yesterday that talked about how much bonus money Nate had made for winning either fight of the night or submission of the night, and he has made over half a mill just from bonuses alone. For example he made a cool 65k extra for his sweet ass choke out of Miller on Saturday.

I know Nick made 200,000 for his last fight with Condit.

lol. That is just what they've been paid for fights, they make pretty good money from sponsors as well.

Of course this all looks like chump change compared to the 32 million Pretty Boy Floyd pulled in for his fight with Cotto

lol, Floyd would own Manny just like my boy Juan Manuel Marquez has 3 times.

That being said, I don't think they'll ever fight. Floyd is the bigger draw and wants to be paid like it, while Manny's camp insists on a 50/50 split, which Floyd won't give him.

Manny is a mahoosive draw... he's the biggest star in his whole country. Period. There is no one on his level there, Floyd is amongst big big competition.

It should be split. It's a big fight everyone wants. Not for floyd, not for manny, for both. Floyd's just scared :p.

Manny would kill him.

lol, Manny would not kill him. Have you watched his fights against JMM? Floyd has the same style, but he is 10 X better at it. Manny's head down prodding towards you style would be easy pickings for Floyd's defensive counter punching. It wouldn't even be competitive, just like 99% of Mayweather's fights.

And Manny is a huge draw, far and away the #2 draw in boxing.. but as much as he is #2, Floyd is #1. PPV box office don't lie, Floyd sells the most PPVs & made 32 million to fight Cotto, Manny made a fraction of that for the same fight.

I am fine with Floyd wanting more of the money because he is undoubtedly the bigger draw between the two of them.

Meh, all I see is "FLOYD ONLY FIGHTS UNKNOWNS HE KNOWS HE CAN BEAT" comments so I'm being incredibly bias. I've not seen many of either of their fights, though I'd wish to. I'd probably root for Floyd if they did fight, I'm not even sure why though.
