Re: UFC 167: St. Pierre vs. Hendricks

Pretty solid looking card. Looking forward to a Hendricks bomb/or maybe even a John Wayne Parr trained GSP getting a TKO (still unlikely).

Evans v Sonnen is meh, two wrestlehumpers that occasionally remember you are allowed to finish a fight.

Mir v Reem should be an insane 5 minutes.

Lawler - Rory Mac is win - win despite Rory being dubbed boring because of one bad performance.

Kos - Woodley is meh.

Should be funny to see Cerrone's dear in headlights look again, guy is clueless under pressure.

I'm just clueless why Cerrone keeps getting these main card fights. The guy has been looking terrible lately.

I actually think he'll be the main event of the prelims. Don't think they are going to do a six fight main card.

Pretty likely. He does guarantee excitement though seeing him getting wrecked.

Re: UFC 167: St. Pierre vs. Hendricks

This card tops 166 for me. Even though I like how 166 is featuring three heavyweight fights, I'm expecting Cormier-Nelson to be a dud. At least we might see Evans knock out Chael. I'm actually really excited for that fight. Every fight on the main card looks appealing. Kos-Woodley may sound boring, but both fighters like to throw wild hooks at least. Plus you have to think Woodley is going to come out aggressive, after Shields just held him against the cage for fifteen minutes.

Gonna be fun to see Koscheck and Mir get cut.

The new UFC 167 commercial spot proved to be dangerous endeavor for one of its subjects.

While filming the commercial last month in Los Angeles, Johny Hendricks suffered a second-degree burn on his back because the lights used to film the spot were placed too close to him, his manager Ted Ehrhardt confirmed with MMAFighting.com

Ehrhardt said Hendricks tried to resume his training two days later, however, the burn was bothering him too much so he went to a doctor who prescribed an ointment to help heal it. Ehrhardt said Hendricks, who wasn't available to speak about the incident, missed one-to-two days of training, and the injury healed in a week.

"Johny never gets pissed off about anything," Ehrhardt said. "He was just mad that it was messing up his training, that's all."

A photo of the injury, courtesy of Ehrhardt, can be seen below.

The UFC apologized to Hendricks for the accident. Ehrhadt said they were "kind of in disbelief" that this happened during the shoot, as was Hendricks who told Ehrhardt he never suffers sunburn in the summertime. Hendricks did not ask the UFC to pay for any medical costs.

Hendricks will meet Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title at UFC 167 on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas. Watch the commercial in question below.

Pretty nasty shit and a silly error on the part of the people shooting the commercial which by the way I think is pretty awesome

Predictions for tonight? I would absolutely love a Hendricks KO and rooting for it to happen as it would be fitting for a massive moment like that to conclude it's anniversary.

Overall though i've gone with GSP & Rashad on points, Cerrone and Rory.

I think GSP will find a way to keep Hendricks grounded. He'll win by decision. Shad will get this win... maybe we'll get a head kick out of him for the KO win.

Rory vs. lawler... looking forward to seeing what happens there. Shouldn't be as boring as Rory's last fight for sure.

Sonnen SD in similar circumstances to above.
Rory Mac TKO
Woodley SD
Elliot UD
Cerrone UD
Drysdale SUB

Dont care about the rest. Shame Pettis' bro won't be fighting.

Wow, absolutely no way GSP won that fight at all.
