Mannnnnnnnnnn I thought Belfort had it in the first round with that armbar. I was like TAP TAP TAP COME ON TAP TAP.

Jones is def legit. But Belfort is def the man for stepping up on such short notice and taking this fight. He brought it to him. Mannnnnn so close. So close.

I was just confused why he kept pulling guard so much. I mean yeah when he took that kick he needed to. But before that he kept pulling guard. It was like... I dunno. But that reach advantage was insane. And it was actually 10.5 inches... but still freakin insane.

So I'll admit it, Jones was awesome tonight and dominated the fight overall.

But Belfort was perhaps just inches away from taking Jones' arm home with him and becoming champion.

Overall, it was a decent show. I expected more from a few fights and the prelims definitely were much better than some of the main card fights. But i was pleased with the main event and what not, the main event was my only real reason for tuning in anyways other wise i would've downloaded the show tomorrow.

I only came home just in time to see the flyweight and main event. I heard the rest of the card sucked so I'm kinda glad I missed the rest of the fights.

But now the ... oh yeah... whoever wins between Hendo and Machida.

Next event is a week from today, UFC On Fuel TV: Struve vs. Miocic. Will have Vbookies and Prediction thread up for it sometime this week.

Also, tonight's Fight Night Bonuses: Fight of the Night Grant vs Dunham; sub of the night Jon Jones and KO of the night: Cub Swanson. 65k each

Vitor did good BUT he exposed that Hendo will have even less of a chance. Its funny really people were jumping up and down for Hendo v Jones but then complained about Jones v Befort. There's alot of similarities there though, Both Vitor and Belfort are best suited to MW, Hendo's at LHW though because he's too old to cut that much weight every weight, Hendo's abonded his wrestling and relies on his H Bomb, that's Hendo's one weapon the H Bomb, he headhunts and puts 100% into every punch. Vitor is a world above Hendo when it comes to striking and he has one punch KO power as well. Add to that the fact that Vitor with a short camp has better cardio than Hendo with a full camp and I really dont like Hendo's chances if he gets a fight with JBJ.

Matt Hamill you are one of the worst fighters of all time, I think that that was the worst fight I have ever seen, I can't believe I had to pay to watch that. He was gassed within two minutes and couldn't even finish a guy when he was punching him in the back of the head. His opponent really needs to work some cardio and needed to actually try to do something as well. If Hamill gets another fight on a PPV maincard I don't know what I will do. He showed that he is a joke tonight.

/Rant

Enjoyed the show as a whole, the prelims made this a great five hour show. Belfort did well to catch Jones but Jones is a beast for not tapping, he must have been watching Sheamus as well when he picked up Belfort and dropped him on his neck whilst in the armbar. Other than that armbar Belfort didn't really do anything other than pull guard and get beaten up after pulling guard. Nice submission in the end by Jones. Great showing by Belfort, took the fight at short notice in a different weight class and had the champion in trouble.

Happy to see Bisping get the win, they had a good fight but it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Johnson did well to win the 125 title but the thing I can't stand about them is they have so little power and can't actually knock each other out. Cub Swanson's KO was awesome, massive hit and the delayed fall was entertaining to watch.

With the prelims I enjoyed every fight, all the guys put in a great effort and all of the matches that went to decision would have been so much better than Hamill getting an underserved spot on the maincard.

Enjoyed seeing Kyle Noke get a big KO win. No idea what the ref was doing though, he was standing in the way of the fighters and they were basically falling into him. Terrible positioning but it was the right call to finish the fight then.

Troy's rant on Matt Hamill is one of the best things I've seen on the site in a long time. Luckily for myself, I went to get a pitcher of Stella and had to wait on line for about ten minutes. I only got to see 3rd round and according to people, the real winners of the fight were the fans that went to get beers and wings. I'll have my recap up tomorrow, too busy right now but pretty good night. Happy Bisping won and I don't have to see Deezy rip on him.

It was horrendous. Hollett couldn't offer any defense to a takedown yet when he was down and only putting up a hand to cover his face Hamill still couldn't do anything even though he had full control.

Anyone else find it slightly ridiculous that fans were booing in the 125 pound title fight? I thought that it was a quality back and forth fight with plenty of action. More action in that title fight than any recent GSP fights.

Those fans booing the 125 title fight were just fickle. I mean Rogan was right they just wanted blood. They didn't appreciate the technics of the fight. I really did enjoy that fight. Just watched the Cub Swanson KO on youtube. He was like... Dude I just got hit... ohhhh. heh that was funny.

But as far as Hendo goes and his chances against JBJ, I'd still give Hendo a better chance. Hendo does have cardio and he hasn't completely abandoned his wrestling. And that will be a huge advantage that he'd have that Vitor didn't. Vitor isn't a wrestler. But he sure nough almost had him in the first round. And that will be Hendo's real chance to take and win the fight is the first round. I still really want to see Hendo vs. JBJ. Would be amazing.

I hope Grant/Dunham and DMJ/Benavidez all got bonuses b/c those were great fights.

Hollett deserves to be cut after that shameful performance though, he was like a shit Phil Baroni.

As for the main event, I marked when Belfort got the kimura, other than that he was a total fucking dumbass who deserved to lose for being so stupid.

I actually think Brenneman can have no complaints about the stoppage... was it premature? Probably. But when you get dropped, and eat 3-4 big unanswered shots, what do you expect?

I think it was the right decision as well I just can't believe how bad the positioning of the ref was. He stood right behind Brenneman so that Brenneman and Noke had no chance but to fall into his legs which prevented Noke from hitting the big finishing punch. Still it was the right call and hopefully Noke can move upwards and get onto a normal prelim card next time rather than just a facebook one.
