Mr 1 Career Knockout is the guy who dumped OMGBestFighterOfAllTime on his arse 5 times, so lets not belittle him too much.

His lone UFC career finish was by submission. But... I guess if he is supposed to somehow find the strength to finally win by tko or ko... this should be the fight... well where he feels what it is like to be knocked out by the best.

Maybe his next fight he'll be like grrrrr and beat someone and not win by decision.

Besides.. yeah he dumped him on the mat for 23 and a half minutes but who won the fight? That is what matters.

I think you are overplaying how boring the guy is, tbh, just like most do with Fitch.

He's a wrestler and will obviously play to those strengths, hence the 'mixed' martial arts tag. It's not called Striking Martial Arts or Ultimate Boxing Championship.

I can't think of the last boring fight he had, maybe Marquardt like 3 years ago. Anderson's had stinkers too, like the Maia fight.

A lot of MMA journos are saying Sonnen needs to cut 20lbs by tomorrow to make weight.

I really hope he does it, because any excuse Anderson gets to run away from this fight, he will take.

But I was drawing a comparison to how people always rag on GSP for always winning by decision lately yet nobody has said anything about Chael always winning by decision. That was the comparison being made. GSP wrestles, he strikes, he outdoes everybody he fights against and yet people say... oh he is so boring cause he only wins by decision, he doesn't get the win, he doesn't try to finish someone off.

What about Chael? I'm not calling him a boring fighter but I am saying if people are gonna talk about GSP in that light then there are others that can be in that same light that should receive the same criticism... but at least in GSP case he has had more finishes in his UFC career than Chael has had. Yeah they all have boring fights but Chael just seems to have an inability to finish fights. That was the point. He dominated for 4 and a half rounds and could not get the finish. Silva managed to get the win, Silva finished that fight.

Yeah he was on Sports Center on ESPN this morning and he said he had to cut 20 pounds, but the way it came out it seemed like he was just joking, that's how i took it at least. Have to wait and see for the weigh in's tomorrow.

Actually here's a video with one of Chael's trainers explaining the weight cut.

Well hopefully he doesn't have to make that big of a weight cut cause if so... that'd give him an excuse after he loses why he lost :p

It's weird, and I'm not sure why they did it this way but i'm pretty sure they only did one episode of Primetime for this show which is on this thread a few pages back. I could be wrong though.

Sonnen staying calm. Silva is getting caught up in way too much of the talk. Gonna be unfocused. Sonnen to win by TKO or decision.

Gonna miss most this due to hitting town tonight but should be online to be Sonnen's cheerleader for the main event.
