I thought the main event of this was ok, but I kinda felt like it somewhat left me shortchanged. There was so much hype going into this fight, but I don't think the actual fight itself followed up. There was all the talk of the hatred and wanting to destroy each other and stuff but none of that really translated across. Jones was just toying with Rashad for the last three rounds and Rashad just looked bewildered and didn't offer up anything that made me think he could win the damn fight. Just didn't seem to be no passion there really, however i'm sure we'll get it in abundance when Chael/Anderson meet again.

Agreed on that statement there.

I don't watch as much UFC but I must say the under-card was a lot better than the main event. Evans/Jones was talked, hyped and such and the fight wasn't really anything special. There was great control and all but I felt some of the other fights were really good. Guess I just prefer seeing KO's or actual hits happen.

Well he only had his face a lil cut up but he could see perfectly and wasn't rattled. So he was good to go.

oh and here is a shot as round 5 of the main event was about to start.

Had some pretty good seats :D

Just looked on the Site for the arena in Jersey, and i think your seats were better than what mine are going to be, I'll be right around the entrance way for fighters though.

This was Eddie Yagin after his fight with Mark Hominick last night

So basically Jon Jones fights like Lanky Kong.

Not because he is black, because of the long limbs, for the racially sensitive people who could misconstrue my statement.

Damn If the Prelims break a record and score 1.6 Million viewers, then the buyrate for the PPV should be crazy good.

This past weekend's UFC 145 preliminary-card broadcast scored a record 1.6 million viewers on FX.

MMAjunkie.com
(UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) today confirmed the ratings information with industry sources.

The April 21 broadcast, which preceded the night's pay-per-view main card, bested every UFC on FX main-card broadcast and PPV preliminary-card special since the UFC moved from Spike TV to the FOX family of channels earlier this year.

UFC 145 took place at Atlanta's Phillips Arena, and in the headliner, UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones defended his title with a unanimous-decision victory over Rashad Evans. On the two-hour FX-televised prelims, which followed earlier prelims on Facebook, notables such as Travis Browne, Matt Brown, Mac Danzig and Anthony Njokuani picked up victories.

Previously, Spike TV aired 27 "UFC Prelims" specials that averaged 1.5 million viewers. The UFC 145 prelims special is the first on FX to best that average.

Additionally, every FX-televised UFC prelims special has topped ratings for the previous one.

The all-time UFC-FX ratings include:

Watched this PPV at a mate's house and it was good. Very happy to see Jones retain the title with ease, I thought that it was 50-45 but I can see why two judges gave Evans the first round. Rothwell winning so quickly and convincingly surprised me but it was a good finish by him. Rory MacDonald continues his good run and I am interested in what will happen next with him as he closes in on a title shot. Overall the PPV was good and the prelims weren't bad either especially Travis Browne submitting Griggs.
