HOUSTON – Saturday's UFC 136 event drew an announced attendance of 16,164 fans and a live gate of $2.23 million.
UFC president Dana White announced the figures in the night's post-event press conference.
UFC 136 took place at Houston's Toyota Center and saw lightweight champion Frankie Edgar earn a fourth-round TKO victory over longtime rival Gray Maynard.
UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo also defended his title with a decision win over Kenny Florian.
The number of complimentary tickets issued was not revealed, but the reported numbers represent an average revenue of $137.96 per ticket issued.
UFC 136 marked the UFC's first event in Houston since 2007's historic UFC 69 event, where Matt Serra famously upset UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. That event drew 15,269 people and scored $2,817,200.
White said UFC 69 was the largest gate in Toyota Center history, and Saturday's UFC 136 event qualified for fourth.
