Brock Lesnar dwarfs Velasquez in that picture, Lesnar looks like a monster next to him. Can't wait for this fight because Lesnar has been awesome in UFC. Velasquez is 8-0 and is coming off a devastating win against Big Nog where he knocked him out in the first round. Should be a great test for Velasquez, I thought that Carwin was the biggest threat to Lesnar's title but Velasquez has a good chin and rocks for hands. I still have to go with a Lesnar win.

Tito Ortiz fighting again. Last four fights have given him a record of three loses and a draw. Hamill hasn't done that much in UFC and should really beat Ortiz. Can Ortiz get his career back on track or will Hamill retire him in this fight.

Jesus Christ this card is stacked. I even can't wait for the prelims since Cote is on a losing streak and I want to see him get back into the MW division, and I want to see Court McGee try to get another win.

Then you have Schaub/Gonzaga, great match up, although, I think it's too quick for Schaub to get Gonzaga, but we'll see.

Then Diego Sanchez/Paulo Thiago, that's a great matchup. Diego needs a win though to get back into the WW division over that loss to Hathaway, and Thiago can be in title contention with a win like this imo.

Hammill/Tito sucks to see it because they're friends but I think Hamill has more knockout power then Tito and will knock him out just my opinion.

Then Shields and Kampmann man I can't wait. I know Shields is the guy to lay and try to wrestle on the ground to win, but I want to see him win and have a great debut. Because he's popular and new, with a win like this Dana said he has one more win until he gets a title shot.

Then Cain vs. Brock. Cain must have thoguht it sucked to see that Carwin's 100 shots couldn't knockout Lesnar, and I have a feeling that Carwin is stronger then Cain, so I guess Cain will just try to work on his TD defense and try to out-strike Brock to win.

The big advantage for Cain over Carwin is that Cain can last five rounds, he is fit whereas Carwin is built to KO the opponent within the first round. Carwin may have more power but Velasquez can punch and kick you for five rounds which will cause more damage. He will have to be careful with his leg kicks though because Lesnar will try to catch them to take him down.

It would be pretty bad for Hamill if he can't beat Ortiz who is in a bad career slump. If he can't beat Ortiz then he won't have much chance of getting near the title.

I agree with you in saying that if Thiago wins here he will be in title contention. I am not sure who would be left in front of him and what else would he have to do to get a title shot.

Wasn't Hamill one of the students of Tito in seasons 3 of TUF? I think so. So that will be an interesting matchup. Teacher vs. Student.

But I think also... as far as the main event Cain's advantage over Carwin is the technics he has in his strikes. He's precise when he strikes where as Carwin is more of a Wandy type striker and he swings wildly with hard shots. Like if they connect... you WILL feel it. But there would be a lot of misses before one connects. Cain... it only takes a couple of punches before he connects and it could put you out cold. Then there is the cardio, and I think that Cain's wrestling is a bit better than Carwin's plus he is a little faster than Carwin. So I still wanna give Cain the advantage, but with Lesnar busting out a submission... there is no telling what else he has up his sleeve now. Lesnar is a scary dude. Baddest man on the planet :p

But really... this card is completely stacked. Every card that has Lesnar on it is stacked. Gonna be nice. Cannot wait for this show. I'ma request that day off from work just to make sure I'll be able to watch it.

Yes Hamill was one of Tito's students on TUF3. He was also part of Team Punishment as well so they must be quite close friends. Will be a big test for them as both will know a lot about the others game and it will be a huge test for them. Ortiz needs to win here to get another fight in UFC whereas this will move Hamill quite close to a title shot.

True Cain does have a better technique with his strikes but I still think that if Carwin connecting with Lesnar's chin didn't knock him out I doubt it Cain can knock him out. Although in saying that one big punch is all it takes, Lesnar's chin looked good against Carwin but will need to stand five rounds of Cain. I still keep leaning to Lesnar winning, it will take something amazing to defeat Lesnar now. Cain has the speed and better wrestling skills than Carwin but he is much smaller and Lesnar will just monster him and make him submit.

Less than three days for this event. This has to be the biggest PPV of the year, it is bigger than UFC 116 for me. It is funny how each fight that Lesnar is involved in gets bigger and bigger. Carwin was meant to be the biggest test for him but he weathered the storm and now Velasquez is meant to be his hardest test. Velasquez has the conditioning and the wrestling skills to combat Lesnar and it should be an awesome fight.

Plus I can't wait for the UFC debut of Jake Shields.

I can't believe that Lesnar lost and in such convincing fashion. Cain Velasquez was relentless and withstood the intial bumrush by Lesnar and then just took him down and rained down on him with punches. Lesnar was humble after the fight though and Cain is a likeable fighter. First ever Mexican champion.

Jake Shields won his UFC debut by mostly taking Kanpmann down and just keeping him there. Not an overly exciting fight but still a good debut.

Hamill won the teacher vs student battle.
