Well, IF HHH is pushing for mid belt greatness then DB is a great guy for it. The situation we're looking for here is for DB to bring the IC title up, and not for the IC title to bring him down. I'm sure IC Champ Daniel Bryan could do main and semi-main PPV matches with some good opponents.
Well I know what they're looking for but should/would wwe take stone cold Steve Austin in his prime after just headlining your previous mania and just give him the IC title? To bring it up? No I don't think so.

I get the logic I suppose. But why not let dean Ambrose get it? Ziggler? My point is that others can bring it up as well. And Bryan is just too large for that. Again, he should be fighting the rock at mania or have a headlining match.

IM mainly saying this because they're forcing reigns into what I feel should Bryan's spot. Nonetheless, I feel the point is valid that Bryan is clearly that stone cold Steve Austin face, not reigns.

I mean they can bring "legitimacy" to these titles without forcing Bryan to mid card when he's clearly main event. People feel that just because he main vented last year... He can't this year and he's fine in the mid card.

No fucking way. This guy is over with merchandise, fans, and can wrestle as well as talk. Why the hell would he just hold the IC title?? After beating all of evolution last year. Cenas career is kind of in veteran status where he can compete mid-upper and still have some entertaining feuds. DB is supposed to be rising, like reigns, and now he's held back lol.

As much as I'd love DB in the ME scene, him going for the IC title is actually gonna bring the prestige and relevance back to that strap.

If he wins it at Mania (and quite frankly I don't see anyone else other than DB or Ambrose winning it), they could have him rolling with it for like 6 months and much like Jay Lethal in ROH, either DB/Ambrose can come out and say the IC title is the most prestigious title in WWE, etc...

Idk if this will exactly be the case though. I mean do we really feel that DB holding the IC title for a while and then dropping it to whomever is going to make it bigger? Meanwhile we have reigns shoved down our necks? Idk possibly. To me, someone else could just easily bring "prestige". The issue with these mid card titles was lack of good story lines and emphasis at mania and bigger PPV's. That's the issue with most titles that fall by the way side. Hell, dean Ambrose could've done this with US Title a while back but he barely defended it.

I mean I get the logic. However, DB need to be main event and someone else can help build up this title. I know Cena is a good guy because he's proven all he needs to prove and done it all, makes sense.

DB is still trying to prove a lot. Let him main event.

There's plenty of time for both Bryan and Reigns to main event and switch back to midcard when they aren't being used by the Brass Ring Club.
Perhaps we won't have to wait too long for Bryan to be in the ME picture, it could be as early as next year with him winning the Rumble.

Right now, Reigns is that ME guy, it's not like it's the end of the world. Would I prefer Bryan in that ME spot? Yeah, but right now it is Reigns and I've got no problem with it. The guy's grown on me a lot.

Speaking of prestige/relevance of the midcard titles... Cena is the cure for the US title's irrelevance curse, as much as DB is the cure for the IC title's irrelevance curse. All WWE's gotta do is not ruin that with crappy storylines and booking.

Again with the crying over Bryan not being main event?

I don't see what the problem is with using him to push the IC title. He's going to be working with some awesome talents for the IC match. And it's not like he'd be stuck with it forever.

Yes, there's always "time," but that doesn't mean DB needs to be in this spot. For example, take Randy Orton. He's much like Cenas in the sense that's he's a tog dog, veteran, and can easily bring back legitimacy to the IC title. Orton makes sense, just like Cena does for a mid card title belt. DB simply doesn't. He's above that right now and should be. I know Orton is distracted with Rollins right now....but, Dean Ambrose or Ziggler could have their moment to shine at Mania and win the belt. Have great feuds and then Orton could win the belt. Having Orton target this title with as much popularity he's having lately makes sense. Orton is a veteran who's career is in that state, not DB's.

Reigns has grown on me, too. However, I don't like things shoved down my throat, ya know???

You kind of proved my point: it all comes down to storylines and booking. It doesn't matter if Cena is holding the belt or DB if the storylines aren't there and they never defend their titles. Sure, it'll get some more attention but without the proper backing by WWE, it'll die out. I say Orton and Cena hold these belts. DB sticks in main event scene as Roman kind of falls back to mid upper card.

I'm all for Roman losing even though it won't happen.

I don't "cry" very often. I make valid points lol

I just explained in a post to Prince above why I don't like it. Again, I like Roman and good for him being in the main event. However, my point is that DB is clearly the better choice. So, yes, it makes sense for me to "cry" about it.

DB can also work with awesome talents being the top guy as well. I'm not against Bryan fighting these people or making great feuds happen. I'm against the fact that they're treating DB like a Cena as if his career is kind of going downward and he'll stay at mid upper card for now. Again, Orton is a better choice for this. DB is on the rise....shouldn't be stuck at this level when he has a lot more to prove.

Or they're taking a guy that is totally over and trying to make an irrelevant title relevant again by giving it to him. (Potentially, that's not a given) It isn't always about WWE trying to knock him down a peg or two and most of all, the WWE doesn't revolve around Bryan- as much as some people would like it to.

Can't you people just enjoy Bryan in the IC shenanigans, putting on great matches with other great workers? It's really not the end of the world.

I see both sides. But again why not Orton ? If Cena takes the belt and helps bring it up why not orton? The point is that it doesn't need to be DB.

It's not about WWE "revolving" around Bryan. It's the fact that he's over with everything, he's clearly the stone cold of this era, and he's the stand out star that they need. Instead, we're getting reigns: needs tons of mic work and isnt as big as Bryan in the eyes of the fans.

I know it's the end of the world, it's principle.

You said it yourself- Bryan is over. Besides, Orton is having his drama with the authority. If they then gave him the IC run you'd then be crying that Bryan wasn't getting anything. You can keep saying how Reigns is garbage and shouldn't be in the main picture, but he is and he doesn't appear to be going anywhere else just yet.

Lol yes Bryan is over. So over that he's above this and should be in the main event: you're proving my point.

Did you read my post? Ambrose or ziggler could have their moment to shine at mania and hold the belt until orton is done with Rollins. And the orton wins it, which if you agree that Cena winning the U.S. Title makes sense, then orton winning he IC title makes sense.

Again, I see both view points and get the logic, just don't support the direction with Bryan. WWE has been pulling this shit with him since he's been over in 2013. They didnt do this kind of thing to the rock, stone cold, or taker in their prime. Yet they do it to Bryan and push reigns.

When did I say reigns is garbage? Read my post, buddy. I like him, but if anything, wwe should've switched the roles. Let reigns grab the IC title while Bryan main events. But Bryan isn't as cute and big as reigns so we're stuck with him.

Orton doesn't need the IC and the IC won't be any more relevant with him. But Bryan, a big star who is 'so over' getting the belt will put some power back in to it, but that's not good enough for you, right?
And Ziggler or Ambrose just to keep the belt warm for Orton until his drama is done? No thanks. They deserve better than that shit, throwing in 'shine at Mania' doesn't dress that up as much as you think.

The clear message here is that you just want Bryan in the main picture and fuck everyone else. You don't even want to try and see how well it could work out.

We're clearly at an impasse here, and I'm not sitting here arguing about this all day.

Man, I'm so tired of "the champ" not being around hardly ever and having someone else speak for him the majority of the time (even though Heyman excels at it).

I like the idea of the other 2 belts getting more recognition or whatever, but if it means the "part-timer" champ Lesnar gets to keep the belt - fuck that noise. Just my shitty opinion though.

Lol, Orton doesn't need the title, yet Cena does need the US Title? Even though they're literally in the same boat career wise? Orton i guess has no credibility according to your logic....hypocrisy.

No, it's not good enough. I don't like it when WWE tells you who to like even though there's another talent who's clearly better and has proven himself.

You are okay with Bryan "warming" the title for whomever takes it from him. But, not okay with Dean or Ziggler "warming" it for Orton? Hypocrisy again.

Why doesn't them (Ambrose, Ziggler) beating like 6 other guys at Mania for the IC title help their career? Are you out of it? How would that not help them?!?!

Fuck everyone else? No, lady, you're getting emotional and not reading everything I've said. I like Reigns, Ambrose, Wyatt, Ziggler, etc. I just feel that Roman is pushed to early and his spot was intended for Bryan. Not sour grapes, just a clear reality that you've lost sight of because you have the mentality like Vince wants you to have, "Roman is being in the main event this year: deal with it and stop crying." I don't ride that wave, but you can enjoy it all you want, lady.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

yeah, I'm not really for Lesnar being the part time champ throughout all of 2015. That would be lame....if he signed a full time deal for like 3 months...that would be great.
