THIS. Everything he touched that year turned to gold. A Favorite Match of mine people forget was vs the Rock I believe it was at Backlash but I could have the PPV wrong.

That's correct, and then they had the Iron Man match the next month at Judgment Day.

lol @ 'useless since 2004'.

Guy had the match of this year so far with Taker, throw these theories out the window.

Half agree with this as I don't think Taker/HHH is MOTY

But anyways def hasn't been useless since 05. His 08 WWE title run is pretty underrated to me. He helped make Jeff Hardy look like more than just a spot monkey.

Yeah, I could tolerate Jeff Hardy then. It took him working on SD! with my favorite worker of all time to get that.

Also, yeah I still have Punk/Bryan from OTL as my MOTY also.

I haven't enjoyed him or anything he's done (minus the 2 Taker matches) since 2004, so that's my opinion. Looking over that statement, I phrased it wrong.

I'm a huge fan of Triple H... it's funny because back in the day during his 2000 run I hated him so much. I was such a mark. It wasn't until later when I realized the dude's greatness. His matches with Taker are insane. The first one especially, there was no need for Hunter to take any of those ridiculous bumps he took. Watch it again and look at when Taker backdrops him off the announce table to the FLOOR.

That is absolutely ridiculous. Ridiculous! That's only in the first 4-5 minutes too!

Triple H can be thanked for everything good in WWE over the past year or two. He's taken over acquiring new talent, and he's definitely got a lot of say in the booking. The long-term booking like his feud with Taker, Rock vs Cena, Rock vs Punk... I think he started all of that.

Do you remember what happened after that hot start? It was them recovering in the ring hitting a finisher every couple minutes when they got there breath back.

Yeah and a bunch of insanely stiff chairshots by the way.

The Hell in a Cell match this last Mania didn't compare. I have all the respect for Undertaker, but I would hope that he is done now that he's 20-0 unless he intends on losing. He was out of shape, and as tough as the dude is the wear and tear of 20+ years of wrestling is starting to show big time. He should retire and have some babies with Michelle.

The chairshots were made to look stiff, because the story of the match was Triple H not being able to outwrestle Taker, so he tried to just beat him by any means possible, the whole thing was based off Taker saying Shawn was a better wrestler.
