Okay, so sign ups for the next football season at my high school will be going out sometime soon, and it will be for my Senior year. I've never done Football before, so I was wondering if starting my Senior year would be too late. I did wrestling, but I'm not a very tall guy. I'm only 5'2'', but I'm pretty big, muscular wise. I figured I'd give Football a try for my last year, but still not entirely sure.

Any ideas.

I would say as long as you know how to throw/catch a ball you should be fine, and oh ya being able to get up after being stuck by a bigger guy is crucial. TBH unless your talent is above average you might see yourself on the bench because I'm sure whoever is coaching has his starting lineup all set seeing as how you're a senior most kids on varsity probably have been on the team since Freshman year.

Honestly, I'd say it's too late with how many people are groomed are for football you will be vastly behind. Still if you are determined and focused you could make it to the bench. I'm saying this based off what would even happen up here in North Dakota let alone California.

I coached a Club team in College and we had guys who didn't play in High School make the team, so I would never say it's to late but your mind and body both have to be in it. The reason those guys made it is they ate, drank, and slept Football, if you don't do that I'd say forget about it.

If this is something you decided you truly want to do and not just something you're saying let me give it a try but I'm not all that worried about then it's never too late. Football is just something you can't half ass even if you've been wanting to do it your whole life.
