It goes way back before Hoom too though. Every time someone gets a AEW Title shot that didn’t win like a big tournament the fans online make a big deal about it for some reason.

Literally this. AEW matches get WAAAAY more nitpicked online for "WHERE IS THE STORY" or why is this person getting a title shot. I saw way less nitpicking for a guy who has checks not won a match in a year getting a WORLD title match. Like even if he won a number one contender's match that would be slightly better

I’m not mad about either guy getting a title match. I don’t think it makes sense that Jinder gets a title shot but like I said it’s just a filler before Seth moves onto Punk, so it is what it is. I like Jinder though so I’m not complaining and it’s someone different getting a shot.

I think the Hook match will be cool and I think the match with Seth and Jinder will be cool. I’m looking forward to both of them.

Yeah, I think his response was perfect. He didn’t dwell on it and he used it to promote his Raw match. It was great. I don’t really think there was any negative drawback to any of this. It was just a funny exchange between two promotional accounts

I’m not mad at either title shot either. I think people make too much of a big deal about that these days. When I grew up watching wrestling half the time someone would just come out at the beginning of the show and say I want a Title shot. The other guy would come out and then they had a big fight and the gm would come out to just say it’s the main event.
