100% agree with everything you named there.

This Shaq stuff is up there with it also. Really don’t give a fuck about that shit, and don’t think it’s needed. Thankfully it’s not being wasted on a PPV.

Yet anyway.

Depending on how it goes they might try to bring back Shaq for a 1-on-1 on PPV. I think this one is one TV because Revolution occurs over All Star Weekend and also maybe cause Shaq is a TNT personality so they wanted to do the match on TNT anyways.

But to add to the list of worst things AEW have done... that Jade Cargill promo. :deandre

These guys are delusional. They honestly think they’re bigger and better than they actually are. WWE hasn’t been that good for a while but they’re still levels above this company. Focus on putting on good shows before you get too big for your boots, Tony.
All of this gets a yikes from me :mj4 :lol

You’re not even trying to have a discussion. Is this allowed on here?

There's nothing wrong with Tony Khan wanting even more fans to watch AEW :cudi

How does this make more people watch AEW? Are you expecting a big ratings boost following this?

Honestly, I pretty much only expect a ratings boost when full crowds eventually come back (hopefully later this year where my state possibly gets better with the cases going down further).

Okay, so you admit then that this is pretty much posturing from Tony Khan, and thus meaningless?

AEW needs more Tay and Anna Jay for the ratings boost.

Nah, I don't think it's completely meaningless. I bet he truly does wants more fans around Daily's Place to check out the shows live in person.

Posturing isn't meaningless in the world of business. Are you familiar with the phrase fake it til you make it? :lol

What's he making out of this though? Nothing's gonna happen, the status quo will remain. Both Tony Khan and WWE know they will never work together unless the companies merge. :draper2

I feel one thing that could come out of it to AEW's benefit is stoking the fire under their diehards who love any excuse to shit on WWE. They're probably having a field day talking about "WWE are too scared to work with AEW" or some shit like that which isn't even true of course but the tribalism takes over. It gets their troops riled up. So maybe it's more of a retention method. :lol

Ultimately though the biggest catch for me is that the question was posed to him, and he didn't do the super safe corporate thing and downplay the possibility even though anyone who has been watching wrestling for a good amount of time knows it's never gonna fucking happen. That's why I feel it's more of an in-character response than anything. Either way I just don't see this reflecting badly on AEW. I think if you wanna be big timers, you gotta act the part... Fake it til you make it, once again. That's where I stand on it.

Triple H was posed the same question and said "there's a possibility of a working relationship"....which is just lip service that meant the possibility is zero.

What Tony Khan is doing is very Bischoff-esque :pull
