Well I responded to all the words you shared as well, I was just curious about the root of your distaste. I can't relate to this viewpoint of yours but more power to you.
Comparing AEW to ROH....
ROH has become less relevant than MLW at this point.
Can’t believe people are really picking apart the way he responded, lmfao
I think he got a little excited about it, I didn’t really take it as desperation, I think he just genuinely wants to see this “collaboration” happen. I’d be down for it.
The way he responded to the question was desperate. He could have said sure, I’d love to work with them, but instead he told them to come knock on the door when if anything AEW should be the one making the phone call to WWE.
AEW and ROH are comparable in the sense that they’re not on WWE’s level.
The reason it frustrates me is because Tony Khan has overhyped and under delivered in almost every aspect of his job. He should be the one making the phone call to Vince because his company is so far beneath WWE it isn’t even funny. Saying I compared AEW to ROH is a dishonest twist, but what else would I expect.
I've heard more than an insignificant amount of people in real life and online say that AEW has rekindled their interest in wrestling. I have no kind of loyalty to AEW and I have no problem admitting when they've fucked up (Miro, The Nightmare Collective, The Tooth and Nail Match, Matt Hardy's debut to name some of the worst offences) but yeah. It's a fresh product from my perspective and most weeks they're at least trying something interesting, and never mailing in a show. That's my biggest compliment to them. The people out there who still prefer WWE's on air product to theirs on the whole... I don't understand it... but I don't need to. Everyone can just watch what makes them happy.
