The $5 DLC arriving roughly a month after the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will bring back the revert, a kind of bridge move introduced in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 that allows players to chain together combos they couldn't otherwise in previous games. Activision confirmed the news to Joystiq at a recent event.

There's one catch: revert will only work within the DLC, and will not be a compatible mechanic in the core Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD game. Bummer, brah. An Activision rep told us this is because "reverts were introduced in THPS3 and the levels were designed accordingly."

Yesterday, Activision told Joystiq Airport will be one of the three THPS3 levels to make the cut in the DLC, and that several more skate pros will be added as part of the $5 DLC pack. Above you can see the very first screen from the remade Airport map.

I'll probably be getting this game. I loved playing Tony Hawk back on the PS2 and such. A lot of fun and the game kept you entertained. $5 for the DLC seems nice but not too interested in it.

It was actually THPS 2 that first had the manual so you could chain together moves but they did add more things to do in 3. It will be great to play through the original THPS with these options since you can only do it through various levels on the newer ones when they would introduce "classic" mode and shit.

Also nice to see them add the Airport level since there is an area I can grind with gaps for an entire run racking up millions.

I may get this game. Not too sure however, considering they have made so many Tony Hawk games. None of them compare to the older ones in my opinion.

If I had a PS3 I would buy this. When I get one I will buy it, haha. In my opinion, every game was pretty good except for the last two with the peripheral, and they were decent at best. I'd like to compare them to popcorn movies. You never get exactly what you want, but in some way, shape, or form, you end up satisfied. Totally agree with the last part, RRS. I loved the series up until THUG2. THUG was the last GREAT game they made.
