So it's fun to joke that a guy should lose his job?
Yeah...cause its a joke...I don't want to see anyone really lose their job...
I know from personal experience how painful that can be...
Color me unimpressed
Good thing I'm not worried about impressing you...or anyone else really...

What color is unimpressed anyway?

Even on a wrasslin' forum, the PC culture is alive and well.

Perhaps not fired, but definitely demoted/put somewhere else. He is awful.
I don't understand the Otunga hate really. Yeah, he is a mediocre commentator. But he has like 5 lines a night and the rest is Mauro and JBL with some Tom thrown in. He's the definition of inoffensive to me.

It's not PC to think a guy who has done nothing wrong should not be mocked.

By all means, mock Tom for being a cheating dickhead. Mock JBL for being a racist rapist.

But David's one cardinal sin is basically showing up to work

More reason to put him elsewhere. Commentary is big deal in wrestling.
There's literally 3 other guys out there for all of Smackdown jabbering on.

I agree that commentary isn't David's strong suit. But he's inoffensive and doesn't take anything away from the shows in the role he is in.

WWE obviously value him highly since he is a highly educated man and very well spoken in interviews. He represents the company well. So being a brand ambassador is probably his ideal role at this time. But I see no problem in having him on the commentary team since we're mainly just going to hear Mauro's pop culture references and JBL's cowboy banter

I can show up to work and do a bad job too. The point being is that I made a joke about him losing his job because myself, like many others, feel he needs improvement. His purpose is to keep us interested in the match. He is literally being paid to say 5 lines a night. Comparing him to other commentators, you can see the lackluster appeal.

Before this gets off topic even more, which I take partial blame for...

How do you think the WWE will handle Tom? Will they do anything or just let it slide?

I can definitely see people not liking him. And he is far from my favorite either. But he's done nothing imo that says he should lose his job. Heck. He's not even the worst commentator in WWE. That's Byron. David at least knows what he is talking about. He's just not quick enough "on his feet"

I honestly don't know. I think and hope they take some form of action. He's not high enough on the totem pole to need protecting (he's a fucking announcer).

To protect them, I can see them giving him a few weeks off just because the whole story is a cliche topic that often gets blown out to other areas of the product. I can see a lot of people being like "Oh this is how all WWE people are because they are on the road, they all do it" kind of thing. Which we all know isn't true.

I could see them taking him off the road for a while. Probably dock his pay. But not really out and out state why he is off TV
