Watch Session One

Not watched TJPW in ages and really not up to date with anything - but thought I would give the 4th January show a go. More so because I love a tournament, and do think this will be a good building block to jump off and explore. - #FF009B

#1 Singles Match
Yuki Aino vs. HIMAWARI

- Have zero clue who either of these are at all.

- Match was a so so far - although HIMAWARI would annoy me if I saw her too much. Sorry x

#2 Tag Team Match
Arisu Endo & Wakana Uehara vs. Juria Nagano & Moka Miyamoto

- Arisu Endo! Yay now this is someone I recognize, so this is the team I will cheer for.

- Arisu is awesome - might be a pull factor for me to watch more TJPW in future.

- Match was decent, but I feel Uehara was a bit of a rookie. Had the vibes, so made sense for her to take the loss. I did see some potential there though.

#3 Six Man Tag Team Match
Haruna Neko, Pom Harajuku & Raku vs. Kaya Toribami, Mahiro Kiryu & Nao Kakuta

- Pom Harajuku - there is another name that I register. I didn't realize she had a weird singing gimmick LMFAO

- This is proving to be quite an entertaining and also comedic matchup.

- Also enjoying Toribami - its no secret I like a masked wrestler.

- I enjoyed this one.

#4 New Year Rabbits And Horns Match
Shoko Nakajima vs. Hyper Misao

- first bat shit crazy match of the year!

- I know both of these two - and boths are nuts.

- Here comes the Bunny Express with mallets at the ready!

- Brutal Shoko took out Endo on the floor.

- Bunny Jacks Beatdown! Misao dressing up as a bunny is also funny AF! This match is funny as fuck!

- A bin full of pit balls HAHAHA! This match is pure mayhem.

- Oh no dinosaur and Kaiju toys! NOOOOOOOO!

- Spray in the face - MISAO you naughty one!

- LOL they played Chicken. Bicycle vs. Scooter!

- Match ended in a draw - TOTAL KAOS

Pom's singing gimmick is pretty recent

Watch Session Two

#5 Princess Of Princess Title #1 Contendership Six Man Delayed Entry Battle Royal
Mizuki vs. Rika Tatsumi vs. Maki Itoh vs. Yuki Kamifuku vs. Hikari Noa vs. Suzume

- A Battle Royal! And its Maki Itoh in the first two.

- A bit of strange match for sure. Was very messy in its nature, especially with only six involved.

- Mizuki is the only other person in this match that impressed me, so this is a good final two.

- Great battle between these two, some great moments. Although Maki is hands down better than all the other wrestlers I have seen so far on this show. Not sure if that is bias - or just reality.

- So confused what any booker is thinking having Maki lose matches that end in a title shot. Maybe Mizuki is meant to be a bigger name than what I saw - but what I saw was a massive gulf.

#6 International Princess Title Match
Miu Watanabe (c) vs. Trish Adora

- Trish Adora - awesome, not seen here since the ROH Women's Tournament. Lion King theme is fucking bizzare.

- Don't recognize Miu Watanabe at all either - not by the visual anyway.

- Trish looking like the superior competitor in this contest, but really not expecting her to get the win and the belt. Although she should based on this match so far.

- Zero buys following that match. A title doesn't look good, if the championship defense isn't even convincing at all. Very rarely say that about a match too - even at this level, but really disappointed.

#7 Princess Tag Team Title Match
Reiwa AA Cannon (Saki Akai & Yuki Arai) (c) vs. Wasteland War Party (Heidi Howitzer & Max The Impaler)

- I would not fuck with the Wasteland War Party. They are fucking terrifying!

- Never seen Heidi before as well - not in a match..

- Gwen Stefani great entrance music.

- Such a monster tag team - they would cause some men's teams to drop a big turd.

- The champs are really going to have to go up another gear or two, to survive this match.

- New champions - and what a monster force to be holding any women's/joshi tag team belts.

- Pretty sure this is Max's most notable title success in their career so far. Scary as fuck team!

#8 Princess Of Princess Title Match
Yuka Sakazaki (c) vs. Miyu Yamashita

- Main-event time - hoping for a really good one to finish.

- This is the best match by a very long way - the standard of these two is scary noticeable and are like big fish in a small pond. Either jump to Stardom or go International - this is not the place for you to thrive and become legit.

- This match is intense as hell!

- Fucking awesome finish by Yuka to retain the belt. FLIPPY SPINNY SHIT!

- Was worth watching just for experience - but I don't think I've been converted to a full fan just yet.

Okay. I thought that was the case. TJPW tends to pick up more towards spring and summer.
I'm very blunt with my wrestling views sometimes LOL.

But at last I know someone else is reading the Japanese ones everytime now lol

Blunt isn't the word I would use, and some of the points you made are valid or at least close to the x. It is just that for some reason TJPW, in my opinion, tends to get better later in the year compared to early in the year.

I have been snooping around and reading things that catch my eye.
