Shit u calld me out.
Former WWE Front Office man and close friend of Billy Corgan, Lou D'Angeli, has posted on his Twitter account that Corgan was in Nashville, TN this past week inquiring into buying in to TNA. Lou wrote, "I know he is pretty serious in at least partial, if not, majority ownership."
Janice Carter, of the Carter family that owns TNA, has said that they are not actively looking to sell the company. As we have said on the site all week, everything is for sale for the right price and when someone makes an offer, you listen.
Corgan, the front man of The Smashing Pumpkins, has been a wrestling fan his who life and has run shows himself in the past under the "Resistance Pro Wrestling" name in Chicago, IL. They have a show scheduled for Chitown on 11/23.[/QUOTE

Except R-Pro is Chicago based. And Corgan isn't the sole owner of R-Pro. The Baron brothers are majority holders of the company. Here are my views on this: we know that TNAs new deal with Orlando allows them to have their developmental in Orlando as well. This means that their developmental talent would train in Orlando rendering OVW useless, and lets be honest OVW is overrated and a shell of its former self.
If I had to guess the rumored "backer" Billy Corgan who owns Resistance Pro has probably been in talks with TNA for Resistance Pro to become their new developmental in Orlando. Since Corgan has a lot of money his presence there is probably what triggered the TNA is being sold. I think Corgans promotion will become TNAs new development. If Billy Corgan is purchasing a minority share into TNA it could also allow him to get his promotion to become the new developmental of TNA and resistance pro is far better than OVW sorry Brian it just is.

The above isn't my thoughts, but rather an opinion that sounds realistic and I can see that being in works.

I can see that, but I hope Corgan isn't the sole guy in charge and pulling the strings. Because he doesn't have the time, when he was the guy doing most of the things in R-Pro backstage it wasn't very chaotic. It doesn't need to be RPW per se. It can be entirely new system with him being in charge and whatnot, you get it. AND, it can be in good terms with RPW and borrow wrestlers etc.
