Vince buys up wrestling archives that can make him money. Do you really think WWE produced TNA DVDs are going to be hot sellers?

The only WWE possibility would be to add a 2nd NXT show. I doubt they do it, but i honestly wouldnt be surprised.

There's a lawsuit involving Steiner and TNA that could get the wrestlers' labeling of "independent contractors" looked into. Having to actually pay health insurance = money out of Vince's wallet.

(That's not a good reason either but it's clearly the best one)

Vince once again wants to impose and demonstrate his will on other mainstream, TV wrestling company? He's got 60+ yrs, and his ego is probably growing as he gets older.

But then again, (for now, until someone legit confirms it) this is as credible report as Russo being the main booker, so whatevs.

Just about every company out there has changed owners in the past, been sold etc.

ROH got new owners in 2011 I believe, NJPW too, AJPW last year, WCW changed it too, Dixie bought TNA from Jarrett etc etc.

Nature of business.

This is actually a far better reason (even though, yes, I believe that WWE-produced TNA compilations would sell pretty well....you can't argue that WWE's production values are second-to-none). Vince is fighting this losing battle and will continue to fight it until he is finally beaten. If Steiner wins his suit, then Vince's side goes down in defeat sooner. If he can settle the Steiner suit (or even win it, which is a long shot), something the Carters seem unwilling (and unable, in the case of winning the case) to do, his side lives to fight another day.

And, technically, it's not the necessity to pay health insurance, it's the capacity to organize and form a union. If WWE or TNA talent is treated as employees rather than independent contractors, they have the capacity to unionize, thus regularizing pay scales and holding out for things like employer-provided health insurance, vacation time, sick time, work restrictions, etc. Vince has always been against the idea of wrestlers unionizing. The ironic part is that HHH used to support the idea of wrestlers unionizing (from the days he was around Hall and Nash), but now he opposes it. That often happens when you go from labor to management.

Updated info:
Fighting Spirit Magazine editor Brian Elliott recently spoke with Wrestling News Source about the news of TNA possibly being sold by The Carter Family.

Elliott reveals that the Carter family has been trying to sell the company for some time and mentioned that they are open to selling it to just a handful of people rather then making the sale public. Here is the excerpt from their story:

“The Carter family has been open to receiving offers for TNA for several months. There are a select number of business people on the inside to whom this has been made clear. You have to understand that it’s not like the company is going to be listed on eBay; keeping the fact that they are open to selling TNA to a small number of potentially interested parties keeps the price that the Carters can get for it at a much higher level than if they went public that the company was for sale.

If someone does make a bid, that information will then be leaked in certain quarters, in the hope of starting a bidding war that would raise the price further. Like with Fusient Media’s attempted purchase of WCW, if someone comes in with a bid, we’ll soon know about it.”

Highly doubt it's true, but I can see Dixie announcing this while she keeps going with her storyline. I mean something like this: Dixie comes out and says she can't keep going with AJ as champion and puts him on weekly title defenses. AJ doesn't lose the title and then she announces she'll sell TNA to the highest bidder because she can't get on well with AJ.
