TNA star Gunner revealed the following on Twitter today:

"Proud to say I've signed 3 more years with Impact wrestling aka TNA! I will make the most out of this! World Champion? Oneday, ya damn rite"

Gunner sucks, he's not going to go anywhere past TV title status. No one will ever care about him as a main eventer.

I like Gunner. He has a real good look, pretty good in the ring, haven't ever heard him cut a real promo, so can't judge him there, but I don't get how people have such hate for him. He's a real good heel, and much better than Crimson, who came in later and got a bigger push.

He's a decent wrestler. I liked his hired gun character that he was having. It worked well for him because he still has time to grow as a wrestler. I hope this leads to him at least doing a little bit more in TNA then he has recently.

He had a good showing in the Battle Royal last Impact, ended up being one of the last two before being eliminated by A.J. Maybe that means they have something planned for him int he near future.

I don't mind him. I like his look, he is really good at showing that intensity. He could be World Champion, but not any time real soon. I think he has some more work to do first.

This isn't a giant "wow" like deal to me. Sure Gunner is good at his craft.

But he isn't marketable. He doesn't have "the look" so he will always be considered either a "B" rank sort of guy or a stepping stone for other potential greats.

Never cared for the guy but he has the deranged, psycho look going for him. I imagine his character to be similar to Edge's when he went nutty setting up for his spear pulling at his hair and rubbing his face.

Except for that fact that Edge also had the "rockstar" marketable look to go beyond a B ranked guy. Gunner however doesn't have that luxury going for him.

I don't get the whole rockstar nicknames in wrestling, I really don't. That sort of music isn't really my scene so I don't know what genre it's actually classed as, but it seems that guys come out to some rock / metal sounding music, throw up the \m/ hand sign then all of a sudden that makes them a rockstar. I mean fuck, I swear the announcers used to call John Morrison a fucking rockstar.

Still waiting on TNA to name a wrestler after Kurt Cobain.

Like... Burt Kobain... or something. Rockstar names are definitely "in".

Yeah, I think it's stupid too.

Well wrestling is looking for the next "big gimmick". So one can assume the rockstar style mantra fits the bill.

Wow he has done well to get a three year deal. I didn't think that TNA would offer long deals like that to guys that were in his position on the card. I don't mind Gunner, he has done okay so far but hasn't really blown me away with anything he has done but there is still plenty of time.
