TNA star Eric Young will soon be hosting his own Animal Planet series, according to the Associated Press.

The series, "Fish America" is described as "outdoorsman and pro wrestler "Showtime" Eric Young gets a line on some of the most creative, unexpected and dangerous fishing practices across the country."

A press release issued by the network described the show as: "FISH AMERICA (wt) introduces viewers to avid outdoorsman and professional wrestler Showtime Eric Young as he takes a road trip across the country to track down some of the most creative, unusual and dangerous fishing rituals, including a hunt for massive bass from a speeding kayak in Texas’ whitewater rapids and a stop in Florida, where anglers capture 300-pound sharks “MacGyver-style,†using only a pair of women’s pantyhose. Young is on a mission to learn the methods of America’s fishing masterminds while embracing the madness of local traditions that have been practiced for years. And no matter how long it takes and how many bumps and bruises he gets along the way, the buck doesn’t stop until he catches the ultimate fish – including the one that got away…"

The series will debut on Animal Planet this summer.

Eric Young is pretty entertaining and I'll prob check this out, will be interesting to see how over the top they go with it or if EY tones it down and acts some what normal.

Good to see that Eric Young is looking to the future and setting himself up for life after wrestling. Has plenty of charisma so should do well as a host although I hope he doesn't host it as his wrestling character and simply does it as himself.

Eric Young can't even make me watch TNA.

But if I have the channel, I'll check it out. And see if he turns heel on a fish, then become its best friend only to go heel on it.
