Slammiversary is up to 9,000 television buys which would indicate closing in on 30,000 total which is beyond excellent. Except for the January Hard to Kill, that would be similar to the Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann number. For a comparison, when still on Spike, that’s about the same number they did for Hulk Hogan vs. Sting.
Fuckin hell the PPV buys must have been awful because BFG 2011 for me, was the most "THIS IS A SUCCESSFUL COMPANY" show aesthetically that TNA has ever done.An update on buy estimates from the Observer
Their peak was like 2007-2008 and I believe Sting and Jarrett did the best number at like 60K or so. TNA basically did WCW 2000 numbers most of their run. I will say the 3-hours did better than their weeklies, though. They sometimes did less than this one’s tv-specific buys.Fuckin hell the PPV buys must have been awful because BFG 2011 for me, was the most "THIS IS A SUCCESSFUL COMPANY" show aesthetically that TNA has ever done.
