Product-wise, this is better for the fans I believe because PPVs will have more thought put into them. From a business standpoint it does seem like a regression, but I'm fine with the change.

I'm thinking as a business standpoint it's good for them. They pay a lot of money for those little advertisements, they pay their superstars more. A PPV a month isn't that smart for them, as they still aren't that big of a company. So reducing the amount of PPV's is smart. And like Chris said, they can focus more on the product that way.

TNa should just keep it strictly five PPVs a year, it would add more intrigue into their PPVs and would actually have good buildups towards it.

But seeing this as a double edged sword, the off-chance TNA employs a storyline that falls flat on its face, could totally make it a bombfest.

Of course, I can't condone watching less wrestling so I hope this idea fails and they end up with 12 PPVs a year again.

I don't care about the economics. I'll let Dixie figure that out since she loves losing money anyways.

Yes but chances are you might be watching better wrestling with less ppvs.

I think with more matches, you have a higher chance of getting a great match.

Mostly this would just improve storylines if TNA booked them correctly that is.

That logic doesn't really work, besides with too many matches the good ones tend to get over shadowed. The product gets more stale with twelve ppvs, as the same matches/feuds get used to often. Of course it depends on the product, when its terrible you don't mind if they cut down, but when its great you can't get enough.

Yeah, I know I'm in the minority with more wrestling. I look at things differently. I usually look at a series of matches to define a feud, not the storyline.

It was a pretty damn good product this summer and people still wanted less. Roode and Aries both had solid title reigns.

I agree it was a pretty good product this summer, its been a much better year for TNA overall, but they need to build on it.

Good decision. TNA had bad PPv selling numbers so now they will have less and in that way they can have better matches at Impact Wrestling and the ratings will rise (Hope so). Good decision TNA.
