That was the idea it was supposed to be the transition from NWA into TNA.
Ya the tna part still sounds like 80s synth so just doesn't work for me. Fwiw I think the current theme is their best by far

Oh, I definitely think the TNA part is the worst part of it but that beginning NWA part really makes me feel like I’m about to watch TNA. Which is why I want them to play that at least once at the beginning of hard to kill and then they don’t have to do it again

It’s pretty wild to think about that at one point I was spending $40 a month on a single WWE pay-per-view and $40 a month on four weekly TNA pay-per-views on a 2002 Taco Bell salary. Every month.

How the fuck you do that?

Also, WWE Network was the single best invention for this reason alone.

It completely changed the game. Especially for me who was getting beyond the capability of spending that kind of money. Wild too that TNA killed their PPV market the year literally before this as well.

As for how, didn’t have the responsibilities I would later. Plus, it was 2002 so food in general was way cheaper.

I never spent money on a PPV. Ever. When I was a kid I would occasionally go to my friends house who had a box (or ordered them but I think he had a box). Couldn't justify spending that type of money to watch something on my TV.

I actually taped all the WWE and TNA pay-per-views on VHS all the way through I wanna say 2009. I wish I still had them but I lost them a little while back.

I used to record every WWE Raw (and Smackdown). I'd record over most of them if there was nothing really worth keeping. But I got the 2001 ECW debut still, and a bunch of others. Didn't have cable TV until 1998 so nothing really before that.
