Ultimate X Match, Gauntlet For the Gold, and Feast or Fired

Interesting you put feast or fired up there. Isn’t that just a Pole Match? Although, of course, it’s got very strong matchup implications for the future.

1000% agree with gauntlet for the gold being on there. I always thought that was a brilliant concept that they debuted on their very first show.

Feast or Fired is probably the best thing Vince Russo ever did, since it's a chaotic match where you don't actually know what's going to happen.

I’d have to think hard on it, but that would probably be two of mine and I’d replace feast or fired with the king/queen of the mountain. I just love that match to pieces.

Feast or Fired is probably the best thing Vince Russo ever did, since it's a chaotic match where you don't actually know what's going to happen.

The firing can lead to some funny angles too if they’re not legitimately leaving. Like Curryman.

Plus Feast or Fired could theoretically be used in a storyline. Could you imagine a main eventer getting fired, and his whole storyline is because he doesn't work at TNA anymore, he keep breaking into the arena and causing trouble until he gets a match where if he wins he gets his job back.

I need the new TNA to make king of the Mountain match regular thing again. Not spam it of course, but like once a year somewhere wherever they can fit it in or just bring it back to being a slammiversaey special whatever they want to do.

I genuinely believe if you had them take the belt down rather than hang the belt up, King of the Mountain would be infinitely better. Because it is *hangs belt*

It's awkward, only time the thing benefited the match was when Joe handed Angle the belt since that was an interesting visual (Even if the booking decision was dumb).

Yeah, this is what I was just saying. I don’t know if you’ve ever done with a Main Eventer, but I know that Christopher Daniels got fired and that’s when he came back is curry man that was fun as fuck.

They could definitely do a storyline where someone really big gets fired they could do a storyline. Like when like DDP and lance storm, and those guys tried to get hired back by the WWF following the alliance losing where they had to do menial jobs like mopping the toilets and shit

They just did feast or fire a few ppvs ago. They used the fired case on Yuta who was going back to Japan as his excursion was done. Also how Moose has a title shot. Maclin had a briefcase but git gored by rhino sending the briefcase outside tgecring and landing right in Mooses hands. Was good shit lol

I will always agree the hanging the belt part is weird, but the only reason why I know they do it. That way is because that’s the only way to ensure no one cheats by climbing the ladder when they haven’t qualified with a pin yet because the referee has a hold the belt.

Kayfabe kinda get it, but it should be just a matter of not to let people grab it beforehand. I do like the idea of a ladder match where a pin or submission is used for an advantage. So in KOTM it can be used to not just be eligible, but put someone out for two minutes. Can tell stories where even if someone has qualified, maybe they take someone out to limit who can stop them to get the belt. Then in one e-fed which never had its first show due to... the show never being written (and the roster was small), but the initial idea for the match to determine the first world champion was a ladder match with a twist.

The idea was you could win one of two ways, one was via grabbing the title, the other is if everyone else is eliminated via either pinfall or submission. So you can thin the herd until you feel safe to grab the belt, or sneak it while someone is eliminating someone else.

If there's one TNA Gimmick Match I'd always consider copying for a BTB, than it's the Feast or Fired Match. There is SO much you could do with it. Not just in terms of storylines, but also when it comes to having possible variants of it.
