Would rather have as few egomaniacs in TNA as possible especially considering the rumours regarding a certain Chicago Boy

I don’t think Punk is actually coming in. Ki should be fine.

If he crashes and burns his last opportunity, that’s on him.

I dont know if his contract is coming up anytime soon, but someone TNA should go after once the rebrand is complete is Alexander Hammerstone. I feel like he could be someone that could help build up the roster even more.

I've heard a lot of good things about Hammerstone, no idea why he's still slumming it in MLW

Lotta times when you’re in a lower tier company and you’re kind of one of the guys in the forefront of building that brand up you kind of get a Loyalty to both the person who put their entire ship around you but also, you really start to believe that this little guy is fighting against the world narrative. It’s why so many ECW guys didn’t wanna leave despite checks bouncing.

He probably feels some sort of loyalty to them since they pushed him to the moon, but he needs to start looking to move his way on up. Same with Jacob Fatu.

I feel bad for MLW a little bit because even the NWA is about to lap them to a better TV deal.

I hate to break it to you, but when they were TNA was their most popular. They had almost 1,000,000 and 1/2 people viewing every week. It was when they went to impact wrestling that they became a joke and lost all their viewers.

Also, the hut was their failed name rebrand. So going back to the Pizza Hut would be the equivalent of going back to TNA wrestling.
You mean they did a number that was considered a failure when those ratings numbers mattered and were higher across the board for all cable and wasn't the dying medium it has been the past 5 years?

Using 2023 eyes for an entirely different landscape......nostalgia a motherfucker.

A failure according to whom? You? Spike was happy with it.

Just because it wasn’t high enough to compete with WWE didn’t make it a failure. Nothing else Spike aired except for UFC drew those numbers and no other wrestling promotion at the time or since that’s not WWE have come close to those numbers.

Regardless of what YOU think that was still THEIR most successful period to date. Impact Wrestling currently can’t even hit 200K viewers for Impact. So factually and objectively speaking going back to TNA means going back to ITS most popular branding.

Spike was so happy they cancelled them.

You still using 2023 eyes on a 2012 landscape.

We going to compare network sitcoms with the 90s while we at it?
