NoDQ.com > TNA > Spike TV statement on new Impact timeslot
Posted by Mark Virginia on 04/07/2010 at 11:52 AM

Spike TV just sent out the following:

Beginning Monday, April 12, "TNA iMPACT!" on SPIKE TV will have a new weekly timeslot on Monday nights and a new weekly encore presentation on Thursdays.

New Episodes:
Mondays: 8:00-10:00pm ET/PT

Encore Presentations:
Thursdays: 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT

- Went Monday Head to Head with Raw.
- Kept Thursday Replays
- Took away Replays, but it was still on that week
- Took away Replays for real
- One Hour earlier one week
- Moves iMPACT! ahead of Raw one hour permanently
- Brings back iMPACT! replays.

They seem to flip flop on alot.

^^^Yeah, you have to tinker with different formulas before you hit a stride. I love the Monday 8pm start. It's a great idea, even for the fans that don't care for TNA because they might be bored and find nothing else on the dvr so they might tune in. If they like it or not is of little consequence. They tuned in. Then maybe the following week they find something in the program they do like.

Here's an interesting thought how about fix the fucking booking? It shouldn't matter when their show is on because if you remember during the monday night wars when it was actually competitive both Nitro and Raw we're averaging in the 4.0s and 5.0s running against each other. That's pretty much a 10.0 share between the two companies. These days TNA and WWE can barely hit a 5.0 combined. The wrestling industry as a whole is in a downturn. WWE is stale as week old bread. TNA can't find their ass with two hands and a map. Once wrestling stops being a dirty word and the big two actually fix their issues wrestling will experience an upswing.

SpikeTV is okay with this foolishness b/c they got 10 seasons of CSI marathons to run any random weekend.

Go 3 hours on Monday. Lose The Thursday replay. Those who miss it can watch it on YouTube. Lets run with that.
