TNA’s Bruce Prichard has been making a play for former WWE star MVP to come in. If he does sign, he won’t be able to use the MVP name. MVP has been trying to pitch a reality show on prison life and being in TNA could open doors to Spike TV for the project.

Oh man I would love to see MVP in TNA. I don't care what they do with him, as long as he is on the damn show. I have always been a fan of MVP. I guess I just like his "heel style". Back in WWE he was a great heel. Maybe in TNA they will do a little more with him. Like maybe give him a feud with a face like Jeff or maybe Magnus.

TNA's been interested in MVP since he left WWE, but MVP just hasn't ever been interested. He's up there in age now and seems to be happy in Japan, so I doubt anything comes of this.

Didn't he stop working Japan recently too?

Would mark the fuck out for Antonio Banks!

Did he? I haven't heard anything about him in a little while, assumed he was still wrestling there.

Cant remember if the report was on here, or if I heard it way back on PWM, but I had heard he stopped working for New Japan. Rumours were he was WWE bound at the time.

As far as a prison life show their are actually quite a few of those now so his hosting wouldn't be much of anything new. Maybe he should talk to Jesse and Tru TV :side:

MVP isn't interested or interesting that so TNA can keep trying but I don't see it.

Why not go to TNA? Every WWE dropout deserves their chance to take over that place.

And yeah he's done with NJPW for the time being.

Calling BS on this report. Any Former WWE Free agent is "Being looked at" by TNA. It's how they work. That, and he owns his MVP gimmick completely, one of the last to not have to lose his shit to the WWE. No reason he couldn't use it.

Completely forgot about that his website is still even MVP. Not to mention he's already worked for TNA so "being looked at" wouldn't be the right term the right term would be TNA "is begging"

I listened to one of Lagana's podcasts with him on it after he left WWE and before he went to NJPW and he mentioned how he owns the MVP gimmick and how he came up with the gimmick and pitched it before he was even signed. He was clear that he owned it exclusively. I suppose that could have changed since then but I haven't heard anything about him on a "legends" deal or anything that could affect it.

Its a double edged blade owning your own name. Sure you get all the rights, and money generated from the name, but while you not working for one of the bigger companies, you are barely making anything off that. WWE will never ask for the rights to put him in a videogame, it would just be way too much out of their pocket for a single name, that really isn't remembered by many today.

I believe he's denied all rumours about this on Twitter. Got in quite the tiff on Twitter with some dude that works for a dirtsheet. He seems to be happy doing what he's doing, and supposedly Lionsgate is interested in his reality show.
