I didn't mean to start the semantics conversation again, my only point was I think Impact needed a term to differentiate between what I'm paying $40 for and what I'm not and the WWE one happened to work :lol
I don’t think anyone is arguing. Just having a general conversation.

Us traditionalists just prefer the PPV term.

TBH, I’ve said this before I think TNA should consider changing that distinction anyways. They don’t make enough on their $40 PPV.

Impact is essentially the only company that has both that I'm aware of, they're the only one this really exists with this schedule of 12 PLEs (suck it) and 4 PPVs. It's kinda fascinating

Yeah, it's all on a streaming service just like Impact's ones that aren't $40

Maybe I can call them SSC, streaming supercards
I sometimes just say supercard if it’s not a traditional PPV.

ECW for instance would call their big shoes supercards when they were taped for video.

Do they have 12? They have ones same month as the PPV?

And yeah, Impact is unique. I appreciate having a monthly supercard so I’ll take this over nothing, but if I was them I’d restructure for TNA.

Mayabe even tiered subs that include PPV. They’d benefit from more subs over individual buys imo.

Only really AEW is making PPV work and we’ll see how their buys do in 2024 when they do 9-12 PPVs.

But yeah how about that Alario Center

Last time they were there it was for 2022's No Surrender which had this card
  • Jake Something beat Ace Austin, Chris Bey, "Speedball" Mike Bailey to become #1 Contender to the X Division Title
  • JONAH beat Black Taurus
  • Jay White beat Eric Young
  • Deonna Purrazzo beat Miranda Alize to retain the ROH World Women's Title
  • Matt Cardona beat Jordynne Grace by DQ to retain the Digital Media Title
  • The Good Brothers beat GoD to retain the World Tag Team Titles
  • Mickie James beat Tasha Steelz to retain the Knockouts World Title
  • Moose beat W. Morrissey to retain the World Title
  • Honor No More (The OGK/King/Vincent/PCO) beat Team Impact (Swann/Mack/Sabin/Rhino/Maclin) when Eddie Edwards betrayed the company to join HNM

Because there's functionally no difference in WWE... all of it's on the Network
I’m aware. I’m just saying PLE isn’t what WWE uses to differentiate B from A Supercards. It’s just their WWE Universe coined way of saying PPV.

It's like 10 or 12, it's definitely not an even 8 and 4 like you'd expect to make 12 total of each. They have them within 2 weeks of PPVs (before and after) a lot

Damn. That’s impressive. Now ones that same month as a PPV I’d let slide on quality, to be fair.

They don't really have 12 I+ events, because of some quirks of the schedule they sometimes have mini-specials 2 weeks after PPVs instead of four

Also just did some estimations real quick and BFG grossed them over 200k and possibly even closer to 300k in buys which I think is probably a lot of cash for them tbh

It’s almost like when WWE had 16 PPVs.
