I used to make a point to always type Plus Special lol I hated it

Although I actually will say that the general vibe of them have been a lot closer to PPVs this year and seem to be going more that way as well. They're starting to be more just like the previous B PPVs they're named after more and more

But there's always some quality stuff even when the card doesn't make you expect it

I use PLE for the monthly plus special bc plus special takes longer to type. I'm differentiating between the ones I actually have to pay to view bc everyone is always like "ew impact is putting this on PPV?" And like...no bc it's not a PPV lol

That’s fair, but I’ll probably still do it anyway because imo the plus specials that are named after former PPVs should still be booked like WWE would book its non-big 4 PPVs. Not the biggest card, but still a PPV enough supercard and WWE has been charging the same price Impact does for Plus for theirs.

I also find the PLE term to be cringe. WWE just wanted something they could coin like WWE Universe.

I’m also just messing. People can say whatever they want. I just won’t ever type PLE. Even when discussing WWE.

I just use PPV for any supercard because honestly even actual PPV now doesn’t require a pay per view anymore. I can watch my Fite PPVs as often as I want. I have ones from 2021 on there.

I suppose that means a new term in general could be coined that encompasses both Fite type PPV and streaming specials, but I’m an old man.

technically you are paying to view it, just paying monthly. But I also get what you are saying - the difference in cards between the impact specials and the big 4 is huge lol

Another ninja and I agree. The difference between Plus and Fite is nonexistent. I don’t pay for repeat viewings on Fite.

Before this year it was way more one night gimmicks and stuff, it was a travesty that people tried to lump them with the 4 big PPVs

I didn't mean to start the semantics conversation again, my only point was I think Impact needed a term to differentiate between what I'm paying $40 for and what I'm not and the WWE one happened to work
