Why? It never mattered with most of the mid card matches. The cage never got used and didn't add to anything.

With the cage only being in like 2 or 3 matches, it doesn't oversaturate the gimmick like it did over the years. Especially when it stopped being the "Six Sides of Steel" (which I found very unique).

Six Sides of Steel could of been TNA's "end feud" gimmick match had it not been for this PPV. AMW & XXX laid all the ground work and then Lockdown screwed it up. Luckily, it's always done decent business, so it's not as if the decision wasn't justified.

Anyway, yeah two or three matches is fine but not a whole show. Otherwise we end up with stupid shit like "Cuffed in the Cage" or "Prince of Darkness" matches.

Lockdown is supposed to feature all cage matches. A triple tag team cage match sounds awesome.

Why is it "supposed" to have all cage matches? Because that was the gimmick they used for a few years?

This is much better. Admittedly, I was a little put off when I heard they were dropping the "every match is a steel cage match" gimmick but it doesn't bother me. It's a little better this way.

Exactly, and I doubt Sky/Kim being in a cage is going to make any drastic difference to the show.

So far what I've taken out of this thread is that every member here except Sabretooth realizes that not every match needs to be in a cage in order for the PPV to be a success.

Also, that triple threat tag match looks sick.

When did I say anything about it being a success? It'll still be successful but I want every match in a cage.

The triple tag match would be even sicker in a cage :shifty:
