I know you don't live in America but the economy is horrible. If you are asking for that much, that's ridiculous to attempt to even do that. Just my opinion and it's a weak way to promote things.

I agree, but what is your source that she is charging that much? It does sound a bit far fetched as I can't think she would get any buyers for that price apart from maybe someone with a great deal of money to blow.

Mickie James is making a new record... by Mickie James — Kickstarter

There. I still stand by the fact there's nothing shady about it at all and no it's not because of who it is. People know what the money is for, what they're getting in return and nobody is being forced to pay anything.

I wonder how many thought it was shady when Nigel McGuiness was asking for money so he could film a DVD :hm:

Two key differences is I suspect that he wasn't asking for that much money and or if he was it was from investors not fans.

No, Nigel asked for it from fans on that same site. Even if it was a lot of money, how can it be shady if you knew what it was for? She didn't hide anything whatsoever.

The Last of McGuinness by Nigel McGuinness — Kickstarter

Wow, what a CROOK. 8D

I swear Keith you're the guy who is always on about sexism on the boards and shit, yet you basically just slammed a female for trying to raise money and then just blindly defended a guy for doing it :lmao

Never said anything of the sort I just wanted to make sure that first the claim that James was asking for $500 was true and if so that she it seemed a bit much, but then also that McGininess had done the same, but now I stand corrected and we can all move on.

Maybe its not shady but its pretty ridiculous if you want to get into grammar. The fact that she asked for that much to save her failed music career is laughable.
