Mickie James is taking a few weeks off from competing to nurse a rib injury. She aggravated the injury during TNA Wrestling's live event tour last week.
The two-time TNA Women's Knockout Champion tweeted Monday, "Walking into the Docs to finally get my ribs X-rayed... Been working through the pain 2 weeks too long! Lucky I'm T... U... Triple F... =O."

James released an update on the procedure Tuesday, where she revealed that her ribs are deeply bruised.

"Thanks gang for all your thoughts... Nothing's broken thank God! Just deeply bruised," James wrote. "Been working through it so not allowing them to heal. So I've decided this week to take a few weeks off to rest & heal properly so I will be 100%! Also lots to think about! Be blessed... Love~MJ."

Once the centerpiece of the Knockouts division, James has been sporadically featured on TNA Wrestling programming in recent months. When asked whether her infrequent appearances on Impact Wrestling are as a result of the injury, she responded, "No! Had nothing to do with it... Who knows?"

I'm a huge fan of Mickie, would love to see her used more, figured she would be the one getting the heel turn and feuding with Brooke instead of Tara this whole time.

My profile says it all on my thoughts on Mickie.

Not really saddened by this news because she's not been used in months on TV really. It looked they we're all set up to turn her heel with the awkwardness between her and Brooke Hogan then in the 2? matches she had with Tessmacher.

She literally never gets injured ever either.

I'll always like Mickie the wrestler and think she's super talented. I'm definitely not a fan of her tactics on how to get fans to buy her music. It's a long story and topic but it was very shady. Regardless she's a huge asset to the company and it's a shame not to see her on television.

Yeah, selling different merchandise packages to fund an album is really shady. Someone should report her.

I just don't like her music, so I never got into it. But if she's doing what pretty much every other musical artist is doing to get people to buy her music, I don't see anything wrong with that.

I don't really rate Mickie James at all. She isn't a very good wrestler and her other career mimicking a cat isn't going that great either. Since she left WWE she hasn't really put on a decent match in TNA. It's fair to say that is mainly down to TNA only having one main wrestling show and not being that interested in the Knockouts division. It's only a matter of time until James leaves TNA as do many former WWE employees.

Really James should have become the new Gail Kim as in the performer who TNA built the KOs divison around. After the way they introduced her don't get why it didn't happen, hopefully it still will.

Never been a big fan of her but she can wrestle and I have been surprised at how little she has been used in TNA in recent months. When she crossed over, so that she could pursue her singing career which has gone nowhere, I assumed that she would become the figurehead of the KO division. For whatever reason TNA never went in that direction and haven't centred the division around her. Since she has rarely been on the show lately, missing a month won't mean anything since she wasn't involved in any major storylines.

Asking people to donate 500 dollars just to meet and greet her is shady to me. Then if you gave her 1,000 you be mentioned in her album. Very desperate in my opinon but I like Mickie so I try to ignore it.

Why is it? Half of the stuff she was selling at what I call the reasonable prices, were stuff every wrestler basically sells, t-shirts, posters etc. Yeah there other stuff you could buy, but if you have the money and you're a fan of said person then why not. Sure she didn't need the money to fund the album, but if you have people wanting to support then you why not take them up. Just seems like a win win situation for both parties.

She never left, just hardly used for the better part of a year, you'd see her on TV every few weeks or so.

I know you don't live in America but the economy is horrible. If you are asking for that much, that's ridiculous to attempt to even do that. Just my opinion and it's a weak way to promote things.
