Where we're at, coming out of Bound For Glory
-For the first half of 2009, the Main Event Mafia did a good job in dominating the company. Sting held onto the belt using the rest of the Mafia to back him up.

-Christian Cage came back at Slammiversary and won the TNA Championship from Sting. He survived his reign by taking advantage of the Mafia/Frontline heat, refusing to take either side.

-When Sting lost the belt, he found himself on a big losing streak. As a result, the Mafia turned on him and named Kurt Angle their de facto leader. The Mafia explained that their "real leader" made the call, and they're just following it. Sting called BS on their claims, but whatever. He hasn't been seen since he lost to Christian last month.

-Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle have specifically targeted each other over the past few months while going after the belt.

-Styles spent the entire year fighting against the Frontline, and it finally paid off when he earned the spot against Christian at BFG, and he won the title.

-The tag team division has been very consistent. AMW reunited and won the straps. Lethal and Creed (the 2 Crazy Negroes) have been on a losing streak recently. Los Infernales debuted earlier this year, and recently got a high-profile win over The Axis Powers (a stable of German Patrick Schulz, Japanese Kiyoshi, Russian Alex Koslov, and Italian Brutus Magnus). Booker T and Scott Steiner tried their luck in the tag team division, and they both held the belts for a while and retired Team 3D. Petey Williams and Eric Young reformed Team Canada, but they've recently dipped back into singles. MCMG have been going after the belts for a while now, and it finally paid off at BFG when their three-year-long journey became successful.

-Speaking of MCMG, they kind of took fellow Michiganian Jimmy Jacobs under their wing. When Robert Roode returned to help AMW retain against MCMG, Jacobs proved to be a helpful ally. After Roode took out Jacobs with a steel chair, Jacobs eventually returned and challenged Roode at BFG. On another note, Robert Roode has recently begun to loosely align himself with the Main Event Mafia.

-Chris Daniels became high-and-mighty when he saw Alex Shelley displaying a cocky attitude, and he said he was tarnishing the X-Division. He won the belt, but then lost it to Japanese Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi. Over in Japan, Homicide beat Tanahashi. He brought the title back to TNA (and subsequently returned), and he, Daniels, Low Ki, and a debuting Mafia member, Sean Waltman feuded over it. Low Ki finally won it by beating Daniels at BFG.

-Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian teamed up in a weird, quasi-emo tag team, and Raven returned to be their counselor. They targeted Abyss, so Abyss brought in Sabu to help even the odds. Matt Morgan also returned to help Abyss, and they ended up kicking Sabu to the curb. With nobody to help Sabu, ROB VAN DAM~ came in, and the feud grew even further. Rave also started to doubt Raven after he didn't accomplish much, and he brought back Lance Rock. That set up the big RVD/Sabu vs Abyss/Morgan vs Rock/Rave vs Kaz/Raven match last month, and the Monster's Ball at BFG.

Aaaaaand, here's the first post-BFG episode:

TNA iMPACT

A video package played, going over every thing that happened at Bound For Glory.

Match 1: Christopher Daniels vs Jimmy Jacobs
Daniels was really pissed here, so Jacobs took advantage of that by making him over-commit, and then striking with various kicks and chops. Daniels went to the eyes and then just tackled Jacobs to the mat and started laying into him with mounted punches, but the ref pulled him off. He turned back and Jacobs exploded with an arched big boot! He went up top, but Daniels crotched him and then hit a big superplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Daniels went after Jacobs’ neck like crazy, exaggerating the work that Roode did to it on Sunday. Jacobs came back with a Spear off the ropes out of nowhere! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels kicked out! He tried for the Michigan Code, but Daniels shoved him off and hit the Blue Thunder Driver! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Daniels picked him up and tried the Last Rites, but Jacobs spun out and hit a Flip DDT! He went up top, and he nailed the Senton! ONE! TWO! THREE! HOLY WOW!
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (8:10)

Jimmy Jacobs celebrated in the ring after having just pinned the 5-time X-Division Champin, and the Michigan crowd was HOT! Daniels got up and couldn’t believe it. Skipper came down to console him, but Daniels shoved him off and went to the back alone.

Commentary went over everything in store, including Styles/Cage vs Nash/Waltman, a MCMG/AMW rematch, and what everybody’s wanted for years…Kurt Angle gets fired!

--Commercial Break--

Christian Cage found NEW TNA Champion AJ Styles backstage and congratulated him again on his win at BFG. He said that he looks forward to tagging tonight, but that he would probably work a lighter schedule from here on out.

Match 2: Los Infernales vs Kiyoshi/Alex Koslov
Magnus and Schulz have apparently been banned from ringside, so yeah. This was a nice little sprint, and Los Infernales looked really good. They showcased their offense the whole time, and the Powers at it pretty well. They isolated Mephisto after Koslov knocked him off the top rope while not the legal man. They went for a Doomsday crossbody, but Mephisto grabbed a Victory Roll on Kiyoshi, making Koslov completely miss! ONE! TWO! THRE – Kiyoshi kicked out! Mephisto made the hot tag, and Averno cleaned house. Koslov attacked him from behind, but Mephisto sent him out of the ring with a springboard dropkick! Los Infernales turned to Kiyoshi and set him on the top rope, AND THEY HIT THE SPANISH FLY! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Los Infernales (5:53)

Los Infernales celebrated in the ring.

Mick Foley announced from his office that there will be a fatal fourway X-Division title match at Turning Point. Obviously Low Ki will be in it, and Homicide has qualified coming out of his big win at Bound For Glory. Two qualifying matches will determine the last two participants.

--Commercial Break--

NEW Knockouts Champion Daisy Haze was backstage and told all the TNA fans to tune into Xplosion on Saturday nights from now on to see your favorite TNA Knockouts!

Tenay announced that over the next two weeks, we would see Doug Williams vs Volador and Sean Waltman vs Petey Williams in the two qualifying matches for the X-Division title match.

Match 3: Low Ki/Homicide vs 2 Crazy Negroes
Low Ki and Homicide were pretty brutal, but the Negroes were much fresher so they were able to speed up the match. Ki slowed it down by delivering some stiff strikes, but Jay Lethal surprised him with a handspring back elbow! ONE! TWO! TH – Low Ki kicked out. Lethal stayed on him, and Creed got involved as well, and they targeted Ki’s leg some. Ki fought back with some knife-edge chops, but Creed kicked at his leg and then hit the Creed-DT! ONE! TWO! THR – Low Ki got a foot on the ropes! Creed tagged in Lethal who went for the Lethal Elbow, but Ki moved and tagged in Homicide! He immediately hit Lethal with the Brooklyn Lariat, and then knocked Creed off the apron! He turned back to Lethal and went for a powerbomb, but Lethal rolled through and grabbed a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THR – Homicide kicked out! They both got up and Lethal went for the Lethal Combination, but Homicide spun out and hit the 187! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed broke it up! Low Ki ran over and hit a high-impact dropkick that sent Creed flying out of the ring! Homicide picked up Lethal and he and Low Ki hit the Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp combination!!! ONE! TWO! THREE!!
Winners via pinfall: Low Ki/Homicide (6:46)

Homicide grabbed the title belt from ringside and looked at it for a while before handing it to Low Ki. They celebrated to the back and 2CN looked pretty upset inside the ring.

Frankie Kazarian found Jimmy Rave backstage and said that he’s absolutely done with following Raven, since nothing got done at Monster’s Ball. Rave welcomed him with a hug.

The Motor City Machineguns were backstage, and they said that their three-year-long dream finally came true when they won the TNA tag team titles at Bound For Glory. They welcomed AMW’s rematch, and guaranteed a win tonight, and the most epic title reign to follow.

--Commercial Break--

Raven was backstage and made a formal call-out to the Enlightened, begging for them both to return to him.

Rob Van Dam was backstage with Lauren, and he said that, after winning Monster’s Ball, he was looking to the TNA Championship. Just then, Robert Roode walked by and told Lauren that a TNA Champion needs to be more than just a pothead; he needs to be respectable, like Robert Roode.

Match 4: Motor City Machineguns[c] vs America’s Most Wanted [Tag Team Championships]
SPRIIIINNNNTTTT at the start, and AMW tried their best to keep up so as not to let MCMG gain momentum like at BFG. They did well for a while, and Harris even hit a dropkick to Sabin! He picked him up for a powerbomb, but Sabin hurricanranaed him to the outside! He ran off the ropes and took him out with a no-handed suicide dive!! They fought on the outside, but Storm came over AND HIT THE JAMES STORM PLANCHA!!! Shelley ran across the ring and took everybody out with a corkscrew plancha!!

--Commercial Break--

Things settled down when both teams get some good quick tags in, and it became pretty back-and-forth. There was more of the idea that Sabin and Shelley both held their own against their opponents individually, but AMW used their teamwork and cheating to gain and edge. MCMG got a good stretch of double-team moves, and tried the Click Click Boom on Storm, but he powered out of the powerbomb by Sabin and nailed him with a lariat. He ran over and dumped Shelley off the top to the outside and then measured up and nailed Sabin with a superkick! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! He tried the Eye of the Storm, but Sabin countered into a Tornado DDT! He went for the tag, but Shelley was still down! He turned around and Storm tried another kick, but Sabin ducked it and came off the ropes with a crossbody! ONE! TWO! THR – Storm kicked out! Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but Storm shoved him away and Harris elbowed him from outside, and then Storm hit his high knee! ONE! TWO! THR – Sabin kicked out! He made the tag and they both stomped at him. They went for a double suplex, but Sabin floated over. He ran off the ropes and tried a crossbody to them both, but they caught him and Storm turned it into a Bear Hug! Harris went up top, DEATH SENTENCE!! ONE! TWO! THRE – SHELLEY BROKE IT UP! Storm tried to tackle him out of the ring, but Shelley dumped him to the outside. Storm turned around right into a superkick from Shelley, which knocked him into one from Sabin! They went up top and hit the Frog Splash/Leg Drop combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – STORM BROKE IT UP!!! He nailed a powerbomb on Shelley, and then went for a lariat on Sabin, but Sabin ducked and tossed him out of the ring! Harris tried a suplex, but Sabin floated over and hit a reverse DDT! He told Shelley to take out Storm, so Shelley ran out with a suicide dive! Sabin turned around and tried the Cradle Shock, but Harris powered out and dropped him with a DDT! The ref was busy with Storm and Shelley on the outside, SO HE GRABBED A BOTTLE AGAIN! He wait for Sabin to get up, and then HE SMASHED IT OVER SABIN’S HEAD!!! Sabin was busted completely open, and then Harris picked him up and hit the Catatonic! ONE! PLEASE, NO! TWO! NOT THIS WAY! THREE!!!!
Winners via pinfall and NEW TNA Tag Team Champions: America’s Most Wanted!!! (14:29)

The fans started throwing garbage into the ring, so Chuck Taylor ran out to clean up some of it. AMW rushed to the outside to grab the belts, and then ran up the ramp, past the furious audience members. Meanwhile, Alex Shelley slowly came to his sense on the outside and realized what had happened. He crawled into the ring and looked at Sabin, forehead gashed, lying on the mat, and couldn’t believe it. He put his head down and returned to the back without his tag team partner.

--Commercial Break--

Lauren caught Alex Shelley leaving the arena and asked for his thoughts, but he ignored her.

Commentary talked about the shocking loss that MCMG just faced, and how their three-year-long dream just ended after only four days. Tenay said that Sabin has already talked to Mick Foley, and the Guns will be using their rematch clause next week on iMPACT.

They shifted gears to talk about how Booker T and Scott Steiner left the arena in the middle of Bound For Glory on Sunday absolutely furious, and they never gave a reason. Either way, it looks like the Main Event Mafia may be having some internal problems.

Match 5: AJ Styles/Christian Cage vs Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman
Styles and Cage worked together to bump around Waltman at the start, but Nash got involved from the outside to try to help out his little buddy. Cornette pointed out at that with Angle, Steiner, and Booker T gone, it’s really just these two to fend for themselves. There did seem to be that sense of frustration between the heels, and it allowed the faces to capitalize on some miscommunications. Styles ducked a big boot that connected with Waltman, and then Cage clotheslined Nash out of the ring. AJ climbed on top of Christian’s shoulders, and then leaped off and took out Nash and Waltman on the outside with a crossbody!

--Commercial Break--

Christian unleashed his offense on Waltman, who bumped big. He went for a belly to back suplex, but Waltman floated over and hit a spin kick to the back of his head! He and Nash kept him down for a decent stretch, with Nash getting really cocky as he went on. Nash caught him off the ropes with a powerslam and then went for the Jackknife, but Christian punched his way out once he was in the air, and then he nailed a double knee facebuster! ONE! TWO! TH – Nash kicked out! They both crawled over, and both made the tag! Waltman ran with a clothesline, but Styles ducked and came back with a dropkick! Waltman stumbled up, right into a snap suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Waltman kicked out! Styles pulled him up and Styles tried a Brainbuster, but Waltman floated over, but Styles hit the Pele! Waltman tripped to his feet, and Styles hit the Rack Bomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Nash broke it up! Christian ran over, and he Speared Nash! Styles baseball slid him to the outside, and then turned around right into a wheel kick! He picked Styles up and tried the Syxx Factor, but Styles pushed him away. When Waltman came bouncing back, Styles kicked him in the gut and hit the Styles Clash! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Christian Cage (8:23)

Christian Cage and AJ Styles celebrated in the ring, and then Cage went to the outside and grabbed the TNA Championship. He handed it to Styles and then held his arm up in triumph one last time.

Mick Foley was walking backstage and we got word that he is on his way to the ring to officially fire Kurt Angle! On his way, he ran into Jeff Jarrett, who said that he’s wanted this to happen for over a year. Foley smiled and said that Jarrett is welcome to be the one to do the firing, and said that he’ll be watching it from his office.

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett came out to the iMPACT Zone and talked about how, for over a year, there’s been a cancer within TNA, and that cancer’s name is Kurt Angle. He called out Samoa Joe, who came out to a big pop. He personally thanked Joe for putting down Angle, and invited him to be in the ring for the big event, and he accepted.

Kurt Angle came out and said he’s going to face his fate like a man. He said that he’s put his life on hold for this company, and if this is how Jarrett wants to repay him, then that’s his prerogative. He was put into a stipulated match, and he lost. For that, he must be fired, and he’s accepted that.

Jarrett said that, at one point, Angle was a great talent in TNA, but that all went south. And now, things get to be back to how they were before Angle came again. Kurt Angle braced for it as Jeff Jarrett reared back … “Kurt Angle, YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!â€

Angle lowered his head as the crowd went ballistic, and started singing “Na na na na! Hey hey hey! Goodbye!†Samoa Joe sang along with a huge grin on his face, and he and Jarrett slapped five, in Tenay-West fashion. Angle started to leave the ring, but Jarrett called him back and said there’s one more thing…

“Hey Angle, guess what … YOU’RE HIRED!!!!!!!!!!!â€

The whole crowd started mumbling at what the hell this meant, as Angle turned back into the ring with a huge grin on his face. JARRETT TURNED AND BASHED JOE OVER THE SKULL WITH THE MICROPHONE!!! Joe got cut open, and Jarrett continued beating away at him with the microphone!!! Angle joined in and began stomping away at Samoa Joe! Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, and Robert Roode ran down and began stomping away at him too! AJ Styles and Mick Foley came down for the save, but they fell to the numbers game! Jeff Jarrett picked Foley up and hit him with the Stroke! Angle took Joe and nailed the Olympic Slam! Roode picked up Styles and hit the Payoff! Jarrett grabbed the microphone again and told Angle that, not only is he re-hired, but he’s also officially the number one contender.

And just like he promised, TNA is back to how it used to be: back in Jarrett’s hands.

Xplosion Results (10/24)

HOLY SHIT!!! Is all I gotta say for BFG! The by far best PPV event since the down fall of the BTB section! Angle and Joe match was the best match and probably the best since the downfall of the BTB section again! All titleschanging was a bit surprising, but good to see you basically starting with a new slate! Angle is finally gone! I am happy about that choice, now hopefully a push for a rivalry between TNA's greats AJ Styles and Joe for the World Title? Would love it! Awesome PPV again all match from about 6 on were amazing and the opening 5 were very good to kick start the show. My show may have osme trouble competing with u!

Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, and Sean Waltman came out together, with a shitload of security with them. They got in the ring, and the security completely surrounded the ring, and blocked off the entrance ramp.

Jarrett revealed that earlier this year at Genesis, when Kurt Angle beat him, he realized that there was only one guy who could be trusted to carry TNA, Kurt Angle. After that, Angle, Nash, and himself decided to work together with those they could trust in order to monopolize control of TNA, without explicitly getting into any corporate battle. They used Sting as their figurehead because, at the time, he had the most momentum. That’s why Sting kept the title after being DQed at Destination X; it’s why Sting almost never wrestled at house shows or on iMPACT; and it’s why Sting was able to go without defending his title at PPVs. When Sting began to show weakness, it was time to kick him to the curb, and it was time to put Angle in the lead.

Come Bound For Glory, there was a phenomenal opportunity to rid TNA of Samoa Joe, somebody who has proven himself to be completely out-of-control, and overall detrimental to the entire company. The hope was that Angle would win and rid Samoa Joe out of the company without having to initiate a huge war within TNA, but it was not to be. Angle was forced out of the company due to Foley’s abuse of power, and so now the gloves have to come off, and the war is set to begin. Jeff Jarrett then turned his attention to the entire roster. He promised that, unlike Foley, he will control TNA completely fairly. Anybody who continues on their way will not see any problems from Jarrett, but if you decide to get out of line, then there will be problems.

Just then, Samoa Joe’s music hit! He walked out onto the ramp, but Jeff Jarrett warned him not to take another step. Joe flipped him off and started sprinting toward the ring, and he powered his way through the first four or five security guards, but when the few dozen closed in on him, he was completely hopeless. They forced him to the back, leaving Jarrett & Co. alone in the ring, all looking very pleased.

--Commercial Break--

Match 1: Los Infernales vs The Enlightened [Kaz/Rave]
There was a lot of high-flying here from both teams, but the re-united Kaz and Rave got involved from the outside to tilt the odds in their favor. They started to isolate Mephisto toward the beginning, but he ducked a double clothesline and tagged in Averno! He springboarded in and took them both out with a crossbody! Kaz stumbled up and Averno hit him with a hurricanrana! ONE! TWO! THR – Rave broke it up! He picked Averno up and tried the All the Rave, but Averno counters into a crucifix driver! He turned around, and Kaz leveled him with a running single-leg dropkick! ONE! TWO! TH – Averno kicked out! Kaz pulled him over to his corner and the Enlightened isolated for a bit, but he eventually came off the ropes with a springboard moonsault that took them both out! He made the hot tag, and Mephisto cleaned house. He climbed up top for a moonsault, but Kaz crotched him. He tried the Flux Capacitor, but Averno ran over, AND THE TWO HIT KAZ WITH THE SPANISH FLY~! Averno ran over to hold Rave down, and Mephisto covered! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Los Infernales (6:13)

Los Infernales celebrated up the ramp as Abyss came out! He’s back after the grueling match from BFG! He got in the ring and put one hand around Kaz’s neck and one hand around Rave’s! Before he could go for a double chokeslam, Raven ran down and tackled Abyss from behind! The Enlightened bailed out of the ring as Raven smiled at them and begged for them to come back to him. They ignored him, making him look very sad; then he turned around into a chokeslam.

Samoa Joe burst into Mick Foley’s office and told him he’s read to go to war. Foley told him that he’s just as furious, but diving in headfirst will only make things worse. He said that he talked to TNA President Dixie Carter, and they worked through a compromise with Jeff Jarrett. Both sides agreed to a number one contender’s tournament, under one condition. Joe can’t be in it. Joe stormed out as Foley looked concerned.

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles was on the phone with Christian Cage, who explained that he had already left the arena last week by the time that Jarrett pulled his bullshit over with Kurt Angle. Styles said he understands, but Christian stressed that if he ever needs anything, he’s just a phone call away.

Doug Williams said that he proved against Bryan Danielson that he’s the best technical wrestler in the world, and that will propel him to win the X-Division Championship

Match 2: Volador vs Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor
Volador brought the speed at the start, but Williams caught him off the ropes with his jumping double knees, and then started his beatdown. He put random submission moves in with no real pattern to them, and Dave Taylor applauded him from the outside. Volador came back after monkey flipping his way out of an abdominal stretch and hitting a series of dropkicks. He hit a springboard hurricanrana and then went up top, but Taylor distracted him long enough for Williams to climb up and hit a superplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Volador kicked out! Williams went for the Bombs Away, but Volador moved, and then ran up the ropes and hit a quick corkscrew senton! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams kicked out! Volador put him in him in double underhook position, but Williams spun out and hit the Chaos Theory! He dragged him to the middle of the ring and locked in the Bow and Arrow Stretch, and Volador tapped out almost right away!
Winner via submission: Doug Williams (7:34)

Williams and Taylor celebrated in the ring.

AJ Styles found Homicide and Low Ki backstage and asked why they didn’t come to help Joe, Foley, and himself last week. Homicide explained that they’re doing just fine in the X-Division right now, and messing with the boss could ruin their careers.

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett walked up to Rudy Charles backstage, and fired him without providing a reason.

The 2 Crazy Negroes were backstage and looked pretty upset. Lethal said that they’ve been on quite the losing streak lately, and they need to turn things around somehow.

Match 3: Low Ki/Homicide vs Elijah Burke/Davey Richards
The faces brought the pain right from the very start, but Davey stepped it up with his strikes against Low Ki. They went back-and-forth for a good stretch, but then Low Ki killed him with a punt to the back of the head. He drilled him with a Brainbuster and then tagged out to Homicide, who hit the Frog Splash. ONE! TWO! THR – Burke broke it up! Low Ki ran over and nailed Burke with a high-impact front dropkick that sent him flying out of the ring. Homicide went back to cover Richards again, but Low Ki stopped him and picked him up and signaled something. Homicide smiled, and then they hit the Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp combination! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Low Ki/Homicide (3:46)

Low Ki and Homicide celebrated in the ring.

Commentary announced that the first match of the number one contender’s tournament is next, when Eric Young takes on Kurt Angle! And in the main event, the second semi-final match would be Robert Roode versus Rob Van Dam!

--Commercial Break--

BG and Kip James found Jeff Jarrett backstage and said that they’ve supported him from the very beginning, and now is no different. He thanked them and said that he’d stay in touch.

Match 4: Kurt Angle w/ Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman vs Eric Young w/ Petey Williams
They went to the mat at the start, and Angle was super confidant. Nash cheered him on as he constantly schooled EY, but he got too cocky and left room for a comeback. Young hit some nice suplexes and followed it up with a pendulum backbreaker for a two count. Young kept on the back work, but Angle tripped him into the ropes where Nash delivered a covert big boot! He stumbled back right into the Triple Germans! ONE! TWO! THR – Young kicked out! Angle targeted the neck for a bit, but Young kept up his fiery comebacks. He finally rolled out of the Olympic Slam and came off the ropes with a Lou Thesz Press! He went up top and hit a flying splash! ONE! TWO! THRE – Angle kicked out! Young pulled him up for the Spike Piledriver, but Angle dropped down and grabbed the ankle! EY tried to grab the ropes, but Angle pulled him to the center. Young tried to duck it into a roll-up, but Angle scouted it and sat down into a Victory Roll! ONE! TWO! THRE – Young kicked out! Angle kept the ankle lock in, and eventually Young had no choice but to tap!
Winner via submission: Kurt Angle (10:02)

Angle celebrated in the ring with Nash and Waltman.

Jimmy Jacobs found the Guns backstage and wished them good luck tonight in their title rematch, and he said that he hopes they win. Shelley looked at Sabin and said that they better win.

--Commercial Break--

Robert Roode asked Kevin Nash why he wasn’t invited out to the iMPACT Zone earlier tonight, and Nash said it must have slipped his mind. But he did tell Roode to make sure he beats RVD tonight, that way he can lay down for Angle next week. Roode looked skeptical at first, but then agreed.

Match 5: America’s Most Wanted[c] vs The Motor City Machineguns [Tag Team Championship]
This was more set up like their BFG match than last week’s re-match, with the Guns being more aggressive as the challengers. Sabin especially stepped it up, looking fucking pissed off with every one of his strikes. He pummeled Harris with some elbows in the corner, but Harris shoved him off and ran at him with a Spear. Sabin jumped over, and when he turned around he nailed a swinging DDT! Springboard leg drop! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm pulled him off! As the ref tried to push Storm into his corner, SABIN RAN ACROSS AND TACKLED STORM THROUGH THE ROPES! He kept nailing him with mounted elbows on the outside, until Harris rolled out to pull him off, but Shelley ran over AND HIT HARRIS WITH A SUICIDE DIVEEEE!!!

--Commercial Break--

Shelley and Sabin pinballed Storm around the ring for a bit, but when Sabin went up top, Harris ran over and pushed him off. Shelley was distracted long enough for Storm to hit him with a backpack stunner, and then he tossed him out of the ring! He measured up Sabin and hit a big superkick! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! Harris got tagged in and went for a powerbomb, but Sabin floated over and came off the ropes, but Storm blind sided him with a big lariat! AMW set up for the Death Sentence, and nailed it! ONE! TWO! THRE – SHELLEY BROKE IT UP! He kept kicking away at Harris, but Storm slammed an elbow into the side of his face. He turned back around, and Sabin hit him with a dropkick! Sabin got up, RIGHT INTO A SPEAR BY HARRIS! ONE! TWO! THRE – SHELLEY BROKE IT UP AGAIN! This time he returned to his corner on his own, and reached out for the tag. Sabin nearly had it, but Storm ran over and cut him off. Harris picked him up and tried the Catatonic, but Sabin spun out and hit a Tornado DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – HARRIS KICKED OUT! Sabin crawled over and made the tag! Shelley came in and cleaned house with some dropkicks, and then he hit a front facebreaker on Harris! ONE! TWO! THR – Storm broke it up! Sabin springboarded in, but Storm caught him and planted him with a powerslam! Shelley turned around and Harris tried a powerbomb, but Shelley floated over. Storm tried a big boot, but Shelley ducked under and then came off the ropes and took them both out with a crossbody! He went up top and hit the Frog Splash on Harris! ONE! TWO! Storm got up, but Sabin cut him off with a hurricanrana, but it sent them both onto Shelley and broke up the count anyway! Shelley and Sabin argued, and Storm shoved Sabin into Shelley! He tossed Sabin out of the ring and went for the Eye of the Storm, but Shelley countered mid-air into a reverse DDT! He went to cover, but then told Sabin to tag in. Sabin went to the apron, AND SHELLEY SMACKED HIM ACROSS THE FACE! Sabin was in shock, but he was the legal man, so Harris flung him into the ring! AMW stomped away at him, and Shelley just watched from the apron! They picked him up, AND THEY HIT THE DEATH SENTENCE! ONE! TWO! THREE!!!!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: America’s Most Wanted! (15:04)

America’s Most Wanted grabbed their belts and celebrated up the ramp as Alex Shelley slowly climbed into the ring. He looked down at Chris Sabin and was in complete disbelief. Sabin looked up and asked for a hand up, but Shelley ignored him, so Sabin used the ropes instead. He walked up to Shelley and taps him on the shoulder from behind, BUT SHELLEY TURNED AND KNOCKED HIM DOWN WITH A RIGHT HAND! He looked down at Sabin and seemed emotionally disturbed. After a lot of thinking, he picked Sabin up AND NAILED HIM WITH THE SHELLSHOCK! As the crowd began to boo him wildly, he put his head down and walked up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T called into TNA, and Mike Tenay had him on live via cell phone! Booker T said that didn’t know that Jeff Jarrett was behind the Main Event Mafia until Nash told him at Bound For Glory, and that using authority in that way is bullshit, and Steiner agrees. He said that Steiner probably ain’t comin’ back, but Booker T will be on iMPACT next week. And you better believe dat, suckaaaaa.

AJ Styles came down to do commentary for the next match.

Match 6: Robert Roode vs Rob Van Dam
Roode attacked right at the bell, and he kept control for a good stretch with clubs and suplexes. RVD started to come back with his big kicks, so Kevin Nash walked down to ringside. Van Dam got a little distracted, and it allowed Roode to sneak in a German suplex. He looked to Nash for approval, and Nash gave him a clap, so Roode began celebrating like crazy. He turned around and picked RVD up, but he exploded with a rolling wheel kick! RVD picked him up, but he went to the eyes. He charged, but Van Dam ducked, and sent Roode over the top rope and to the outside! A plancha from RVD sent us to our final commercial break.

--Commercial Break--

RVD kept up his momentum with his high-flying stuff. When he went for a springboard clothesline, Roode ducked it. He tried for the Payoff, but RVD kicked out and hit the Steamroller Slam! He ran off the ropes for the Rolling Thunder and nailed it! ONE! TWO! THR – Roode kicked out! Van Dam pulled him up and tried a roundhouse kick, but Roode dodged it and hit a rotating belly to back! ONE! TWO! TH – RVD kicked out! Roode come off the ropes with a quick neck snap! ONE! TWO! TH – RVD kicked out again! Roode kept on the neck work really aggressively, using the ropes to his advantage as well. Van Dam started to come back with his kicks and some elbows, and he finally got off a big roundhouse! He held at his neck, but then ran off the ropes for a clothesline, but Roode ducked. RVD bounced off the ropes again, right into a Double R Spinebuster! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD KICKED OUT! Roode measured him up and tried for the Northern Lariat, but RVD saw it coming and ducked it, and then dropkicked Roode into the corner! He ran at him, and then monkey flipped him halfway across the ring! He quickly ran up to the top turnbuckle and nailed a split-legged moonsault! ONE! TWO! THRE – ROODE GOT AN ARM UP! RVD picked him up, but Nash climbed onto the apron! RVD ran over and elbowed him off, but then Roode ran from behind and nailed the Northern Lariat! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD GOT A FOOT ON THE ROPE! Roode picked him up and tried the Roode Awakening, but RVD elbowed out and hit a roundhouse from behind! He climbed up to the top and nailed the Five-Star Frog Splash!! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam (14:29)

Rob Van Dam celebrated in the ring until Kurt Angle snuck down and hit a German suplex! He and Roode stomped away at RVD, until AJ Styles ran down to even the odds! Nash slid into the ring, and Waltman ran down to help Angle and Roode, but Samoa Joe came out and cleared out the ring! RVD, Styles, and Joe celebrated in the ring as the show closed.

Tenay says that the opening bout would determine who would join Low Ki, Homicide, and Doug Williams in the fourway at Turning Point.

Match 1: Sean Waltman w/ Kevin Nash vs Petey Williams w/ Eric Young
Waltman was super cocky up front, but Petey kept fighting as if he was some huge guy, and he tossed Waltman around. After a series of big biels, Waltman slide out of the ring and regrouped with Nash. Williams ran off the ropes for a suicide dive and Waltman and Nash braced, but Williams stopped, climbed to the outside, and LEPT OFF WITH A SLEDGE~!

--Commercial Break--

Petey kept showing off his power, but Waltman used cheap tricks to take control. He isolated Petey Pump for a bit, and it eventually broke down into a back-and-forth. Nash got involved so Eric Young ran over and attacked him. Petey and the ref got distracted, and Waltman hit a low blow! He tried the Syxx-Factor, but Petey shoved him off. He stumbled up and Petey Williams hit a chokeslam! Williams picked him up and nailed the CANADIAN POWER MOVE 2010~! Or, Outsider’s Edge. Onetwothree.
Winner via pinfall: Petey Williams (13:29)

Petey Williams and Eric Young celebrated up the ramp.

Commentary confirmed that the X-Division title match at Turning Point will be Low Ki vs Homicide vs Doug Williams vs Petey Williams.

Team Canada was still celebrating in the back when they ran into the 2 Crazy Negroes, who congratulated Petey on his impressive win. Booker T walked up and told Petey he’s been looking for him. Steiner told him to pass along the message that he was very impressed at Bound For Glory, and to carry on the legacy of the steel mesh. He then turned to leave, but he gave a fist bump to each of the Negroes first.

--Commercial Break--

Nash and Waltman were pissed off backstage, and Nash said that he wanted somebody to teach Eric Young a lesson about attacking Big Sexy. Waltman said that Nash should face EY at Turning Point, but Nash said that he had a better idea.

An eerie Christopher Daniels hype video played, in which Daniels said that he’s fallen a long way, but that he will return soon enough and he’ll be stronger than ever.

Tenay announced that AMW vs Los Infernales was added to Turning Point for the tag team titles.

Match 2: James Storm w/ Chris Harris vs Mephisto w/ Averno
This was a basic big man/little man match, with the added element of some outside interference from Harris. When Mephisto really got going, Harris felt the need to slide into the ring, but Averno intercepted him with a rolling crossbody! They brawled on the outside, and Harris ended up throwing Averno into the steel steps. He taunted him a bit, and Mephisto ran over and took him out with a tope suicida! He celebrated and crawled him into the ring, but Storm creamed him with a high knee. He picked him up and tried the Eye of the Storm, but Mephisto countered into a crucifix pin! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Mephisto (7:03)

Chris Harris immediately jumped in the ring to grab Mephisto, but he slid out and celebrated up the ramp with Averno.

Backstage, AJ Styles said it doesn't matter who he faces at Turning Point, he's going to roll through them and continue on to have an epic title reign.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T came out to the ring with a microphone. He said that he didn’t know that Jarrett was behind the Main Event Mafia until Nash told him at Bound For Glory, and as soon as he found out, he decided that he wanted nothing to do with it. He said that people have always used their name to gain an advantage in this business, and that’s what he was doing with the Mafia. But using management to gain leverage is bullshit; it’s why he left the last company, and he’s not going to fall into the same trap again. Kevin Nash came out and told Booker T that he should know this is how the business works. The point is to make money, and that’s all he was trying to do. Booker said that’s bullshit, and he crossed the line. Nash told Booker that they should go backstage and discuss things, but Booker refused. Nash said that he wishes things didn’t have to happen like this, and then he bashed Booker T over the head with the microphone! He picked Booker T up and hit the Jackknife Powerbomb, then headed to the back amongst all the boos.

--Commercial Break--

Mike Tenay announced Eric Young/Robert Roode for Turning Point.

Match 3: Abyss vs The Enlightened [Kaz/Rave]
Abyss tossed them around for a bit, but they both started chopping away at his legs to slow him down. He came back with a double clothesline and they bumped big for him. He nailed Kaz with a chokeslam and then picked up Rave for the Shock Treatment, but Raven ran down and tackled Abyss from behind, so the ref called out the match.
Winner via disqualification: Abyss (3:38)

Raven kept stomping away at Abyss until the Enlightened pulled him off and asked what the hell he was doing, to which he responded that he was just trying to help. They kept arguing until Abyss got up, at which point Kaz and Rave tossed Raven into a big chokeslam, and then scrammed.

--Commercial Break--

Doug Williams’ victory over Volador last week to earn his spot in the X-Title match played.

Match 4: Low Ki/Homicide vs The Redcoats [Doug Williams/Dave Taylor]
Dave Taylor ate a lot of offense up front, but Williams got a blind tag and went up top, then came off with flying knees to the back of Homicide’s head! The Redcoats isolated him for a little bit, but he ducked under a double clothesline and came off the ropes with a dropkick to both of them! He tagged in Low Ki who cleaned house, but Taylor pulled him to the outside. He tried a butterfly suplex, but Ki spun out and hit a snap powerslam! Williams climbed up top and took out the champion with a crossbody! Homicide sprinted across the ring and connected with a tope can hilo on Doug Williams!

--Commercial Break--

This settled down into a basic back-and-forth match, though the strikes from all four men were noteworthy. Williams kept throwing in random submission moves with no real pattern as Taylor cheered him on, but they never really went anywhere as far as targeting a specific body part. The heels got Homicide again after double-teaming him, but when Taylor tried a vertical suplex, Homicide floated over and hit a neckbreaker, then made the hot tag! Low Ki started laying into Taylor with big elbows, and then caught Williams coming in with a wheel kick! He picked Taylor up and nailed the Ki Krusher! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams broke it up! He tried the Chaos Theory, but Low Ki held onto the corner and elbowed Williams RIGHT INTO THE 187! Homicide kicked Williams to the outside, and then he picked Taylor up as Low Ki climbed up top, and they hit the Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp Combination!! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Homicide/Low Ki (14:39)

Doug Williams climbed back into the ring and started attacking Homicide, but Low Ki came to the save. Taylor cut off Low Ki, and Doug hit Homicide with the Chaos Theory! Low Ki finally kicked Taylor out of the ring, and then ran over and hit the Ki Krusher on Doug Williams! He grabbed his title and held it up in the center of the ring, but Petey Williams was in there! Canadian Destroyer! He picked up the title and then draped it across Low Ki’s chest before heading to the back.

Robert Roode knocked on Angle’s locker room door and said that to make up for losing last week, he’ll be in Angle’s corner tonight. Angle took a minute, but then said that would be great.

--Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley came out by himself, to his own entrance music. He cut a pretty emotional promo about for the last 3 years all he’s wanted was to win the TNA Tag Team Championships. He put his career on hold all around the world, even here in TNA when he sacrificed his devotion to the X-Division Championship. He talked about the good times that MCMG had, going over the teams they beat and the big matches that they both won and lost, but overcame. He talked up their feud with AMW over the past few months, and how their quest to take the belts from AMW finally came to fruition at the biggest show of the year, in their home city of Detroit. It was storybook. And then it was ruined. The miracle title reign lasted only four days, and that’s because of ONE reason: Chris Sabin. He said that a team is only as good as it’s weakest winner, and he was fooled for THREE YEARS that, somehow, Sabin was good enough to keep up. He now knows that he was wrong, and that Sabin is the reason that it took them three years, and the reason that it only lasted four days.

At that, Chris Sabin came down and said that he wanted to hear Shelley’s reasoning, and that’s why he let him talk for so damn long, but now it’s over. He said that he had a lot to say too, but he’d rather let his fists do the talking. He dropped the microphone and sprinting down to the ring, AND IT! IS! ON! They brawl all over the ring with raw punches, until the officials spill down to break them up. They break free several times and attack the other, but the officials, and Jimmy Jacobs, manage to finally keep them split up.

--Commercial Break--

Lauren found a distraught Jimmy Jacobs backstage and asked for his thoughts on the MCMG split, but he said that he didn’t want to comment because he didn’t want to take sides.

AJ Styles was seen backstage watching the TV for the next match.

Match 5: Kurt Angle w/ Robert Roode vs Rob Van Dam
Started out with a lock-up, and built up slowly like a typical match. Roode tripped up RVD from the outside, so RVD took him out with a plancha. Angle followed him out, but ate a spin kick, and then a springboard moonsault to the outside~!

--Commercial Break--

This show is already out late, so I’m in a hurry. Roode got sent to the back at one point, but the match went on back-and-forth. Angle got the Triple Germans, but RVD kicked out. He went for the ankle lock, but RVD fought to his feet and hit the windmill kick. He went up top, but Angle climbed up and tried the Super Olympic Slam, but RVD countered up top into a Super Hurricanrana. He went back up and hit the Five-Star Frog Splash for the win~!
Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam (17:56)

Samoa Joe climbed back into the ring and kept up his attack on Kurt Angle, until Waltman, Nash, Roode, and the James Gang ran down and attacked him! AJ Styles, Eric Young, Booker T, and Mick Foley ran down and cleared the ring, then helped Samoa Joe up.

Jeff Jarrett came out and told Foley that he wasn’t acting very professional, getting involved in these petty fights. He said that he was going to take a bigger role in law and order now, starting by naming himself guest referee for the newest match at Turning Point, a Bound For Glory rematch, Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe.

Yerh, you get a review~! First off, I've been a viewer, but not a reviewer, although that viewing has been somewhat of a skimming, so if I'm not sure about anything and have any queries, excuse me .

TNA iMPACT1 Review

Kicking off the show with a match is something I'm a fan of due to it being a wrestling show, and with a bit of prestige on the line, it should prove to be an entertaining contest between two skilled athletes. The high spot before the commercial is a typical TNA move, so I commend you for realism ;). The typical heel antics also still didn't take away from the match but I think you made the right decision with the inclusion of Petey Williams being included into the TP Title match, as he came off a big win at BFG and is younger than Waltman. However, I know that its recap, but for a 13 minute match, it was rather short and a bit of a letdown as for what it was, it was an entertaining match. The TP match looks rather impressive, an after seeing the quality of your BFG matches, it should prove to be very entertaining.

The Team Canada and BOOKAH~! segment was rather cheesy in all honesty. However, FIST BUMP~!

Nash and Young would be as boring as fuck to be blunt. Don't do it please :).

DANIELS~! Return for him soon please, I love him :D.

Like I said earlier on, I don't know some of the shizz going on in this thread, so excuse me for asking, but who are Los Infernales? Anywho, big man vs. little man matches tend to bore and shit me so I was hoping for something different, but that wasn't to happen as you said 'This was a basic big man/little man match' -.-. So, I obviously didn't find this as entertaining as the first match but match writing is obviously one of your strong points, and it was somewhat entertaining in recap, even though I have the previously mentioned dislike for these matches. I can't really comment as I have no idea of who Los Infernales are, but hopefully AMW win at TP.

The Booker promo was good in my opinion even in recap, and I see that you have followed in my Unpredictable Age footsteps of doing recaps ;). Hehe I joke. Anyways, it was a good promo from Booker with the explanation of his defection from the Main Event Mafia, before he gets lulpwnt by Big NotVery Sexy. If they feud, it would make some rather, for lack of better word, SHIT matches, no matter how good your match writing is :).

Eric Young vs. Robert Roode? Will be much more entertaining than Nash vs. Young and I know the past history between the two, but a promo beforehand would have been nice :p.

Nothing more I can say than yehAbyssusualsquash, as even though it was a DQ, he was going to win anyway :p. Kaz being jobbed out isn't something I'm a fan of, and hopefully he gets a push in the near future. However, if Raven was the leader, why would he get owned by Kaz and Rave? :p Kaz to go solo ftw.

Woo another X Division match :D. Anywho, once again, it was another very entertaining match on your part, partly due to the involvement of Low Ki and Homicide, who I have somewhat of a love for. Also, they had a talented opposition in the Redcoats and it had a good story behind it, which made the match even more entertaining and somewhat more prestigious/meaningful. Once again, there was the usual high spot before the commercial which is very TNA like, so I commend you :p. After the break its an equally as entertaining part of the match than the first half if not more entertaining, and the ending and result was the right decision IMO, as the two of them are in the Fatal Four Way instead of just the one in the case of Williams. I was hoping for the Williams show up and I got that {thanks ;)), and him standing tall is a good decision as since he got into the match one week later than the rest, he needs more build ahead of the match. Well done on this match also, but once again, I'll point out it was a little short for a 14 minute match as it doesn't seem to be brief recaps but rather play by play action, so it would be better if you either added more action into the match, or cut down the time to somewhat of a more realistic time frame.

Roode + Angle FTW. That is all.

The Alex Shelley promo was needed after the events of last week and it was great to see that it was on this late in the show, as it shows just how important it actually is IMO. A Shelley vs. Sabin feud would own even though it has been done many times before, but with your match writing ability which I have praised many times earlier on in this piece, you have the potential one hell of a contest, especially with these two talents and their story. I would have rathered to see that the two had a lengthier tag team title run in this thread, but you can't always get what you want ;). MCMG brawl was inevitable in this show and the even more inevitable {if thats possible :p} match between the two will be, excuse my language, fucking epic :D.

Nawwww poor Jacobs :p. Jacobs and Shelley heel team FTW IMO TBH WOOWOOWOO {enough acronyms tbh :p).

KOTM match between Styles, the two in the main event, Samoa Joe and Christian plz. Creamworthy.

And now its time for the MAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN EVENT~!~!~!~!~![/toddthedouchegrisham[/s]. This could have proved to be one hell of a contest if it was written out properly due to the sheer talent of the two men, so it was a major disappointment to see it in brief recap. I'll address something I need to say in the overall notes, but Roode getting sent out is another usual occurence in TNA, as if its not for an interference involved in the finish, its someone being evicted ;). The Super Olympic Slam turned into the Super Hurricanrana would have been epic to watch, and it was worthy of a ~! :p. Five Star gets the win, and a huge win for Rob Van Fucking Dam.

So, where was the mention of Samoa Joe in this match? He said he climbed back into the ring and continued his assault on Angle, but there was no mention of it :S. The MEM assaulting Joe followed by the TNA faces clearing the ring was somewhat obvious but the right move TBH, and Angle vs. Joe at TP is nothing new, but Jarrett as the guest referee is somewhat of a change. Great close to the show, and now I'll address what I had to say.

OK, so the main and only point that I have for you is something I think is rather obvious; your deadline. I commend you for continuously trying to post iMPACT on a Thursday, but its not showcasing your full potential TBH. This showed in the main event where you produced a five line match for what could have been something epic. Also, the earlier matches suffered as you didn't incorporate as many moves as there should have been in 13 and 14 minute matches respectively, so I strongly recommend you drop your deadline so you can showcase your ability to your fullest potential in your weekly shows. I know that it comes out in your PPVs, but you don't have to push yourself to get the show up, so your matches, which are already great, can be of a higher standard.

Now that that is over, time to comment overall, and it was a good show nonetheless. You have some great potential matches for Turning Point such as the Fatal Four Way X Division match, Angle vs. Joe, the inevitable Shelley vs. Sabin match and the TNA Championship match involving Styles, which will be epic as it simply involves Styles. Keep it up as you continue to give out some great shows, but I hope you consider getting rid of the deadline so you, as I said, show your fullest potential.

Overall, a 7/10, but it was prevented from going higher due to the main event as you obviously rushed it, and it is THE biggest part of the show. However, keep it up, but you may have some new competition in the future. Some seXy competition with the help of a legend who also happens to love Y2J. No hints though ;).

On a side note {and only two people know what this means}, WIGCB~!

Commentary announced a HUGE main event of AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Eric Young/Booker T vs Kurt Angle/Robert Roode/Sean Waltman/Kevin Nash!

Rob Van Dam came out and said it was Blue that he was just named number one contender, yet the big story was some bullshit fight between two factions for control of a company. He said that the real prize is the world championship, and that’s what he’s going to win from AJ Styles at Turning Point.

AJ Styles found Tomko and Rhino backstage and asked them if they’d be willing to put their necks on the line to stand up against Jeff Jarrett. Rhino blew him off and said that Styles should remember what happened the last time he tried to help their cause. Tomko started to walk off too, but then told Styles to stay in touch.

--Commercial Break--

Match 1: Raven vs Matt Morgan w/ Abyss
Morgan is back from nursing his injuries from Bound For Glory, so yeah. Morgan looked pretty strong here, and Raven looked almost like he wasn’t trying, but just taking the punishment. He kept trying to escape to the outside to get at Abyss, but Morgan continuously pulled him in and kept delivering TEH PAIN. He reared up for the Carbon Footprint, but Raven ducked, ran off the ropes, and hit Abyss with a baseball slide! He kept running away from Morgan on the outside, but Abyss caught him and planted him with a chokeslam on the outside, and the ref had no choice but to call it.
Winner via disqualification: Raven (6:03)

Abyss threw Raven back in the ring and planted him with the Shock Treatment before going to the back with Matt Morgan.

The Enlightened were watching on the television from backstage, and they talked about how pathetic Raven is.

--Commercial Break--

Angle, Nash, Waltman, Roode, and the James Gang were in Jarrett’s office. Angle said that, which such a big match on Sunday, he’s not sure he should wrestle tonight. Jarrett agreed and said that instead of Angle, either BG or Kip could take his spot in the main event tonight. Nash said he had a better idea, and Jarrett shoved the camera out of the room.

Mephisto’s shocking victory over James Storm from last week played.

Match 2: Chris Harris w/ James Storm vs Averno w/ Mephisto
Harris jumped Averno right from the start and worked over his back for a good bit. Averno kept coming back with LUCHA~ and got a really really really near fall after countering the Catatonic into a single-arm DDT. Averno went to the apron and tried a springboard hurricanrana, but Harris countered it into a powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – Averno kicked out! Harris lined up and tried a Spear, but Averno jumped over him. He came off the ropes and Harris went for a Spinebuster, but Averno spun over into a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THRE – Harris kicked out! Averno ran off the ropes and tried a crossbody, but Harris dodged it, and then creamed Averno with a big lariat! ONE! TWO! THR – Averno kicked out! Harris pulled him up and tried the Catatonic, but Averno countered it into a crucifix pin! ONE! TWO! THRE – Harris kicked out! They both got up, and Averno grabbed a small package! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Averno (6:56)

Averno rolled out and celebrated up the ramp with Mephisto as commentary speculated as to whether or not this momentum could translate into a title win for Los Infernales at Turning Point.

--Commercial Break--

Jeremy Borash found Rob Van Dam backstage and told him that he had a message to deliver. Tonight he’d be teaming with Nash, Waltman, and Roode to take on Styles, Joe, Young, and Booker T in the main event.

Another Christopher Daniels hype video played, this one saying that he’s coming back with a purpose.

Jeff Jarrett addressed the masses from his office and said that TNA is now returning to an era of stability with the man who started it all at the helm. He talked about how out of control Samoa Joe has been for a long time, and how he put himself in the special guest referee position because he’s the only one that can control. He then gave a big grin and wished for everybody to enjoy the rest of the broadcast.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed were hanging out backstage when they ran into Lauren, and Booker T requested some interview time. Booker used Lauren’s microphone and turned to the camera, and told everybody that he was excited to team with AJ, Joe, and EY tonight to kick some ass, and he specifically requested to get his hands on Kevin Nash.

Match 3: Low Ki/Homicide vs Doug Williams/Petey Williams
Doug Williams jumped Homicide right at the bell, but that proved to be a mistake as Low Ki came to his partner’s aid, and the two went back and forth beating on him. Petey just watched from the apron until they went for the Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp combination, at which point he ran over and knocked Low Ki off the apron! He turned around, and Homicide lariatted him over the top rope and to the outside! Doug charged, but Homicide ducked under and sent him over as well, and then took everybody out with a plancha!

--Commercial Break--

Things settled down, and Homicide and Doug went to the mat for a little while, and Doug kept marking out whenever he put a submission maneuver on ‘Cide. He caught Homicide off the ropes with a pendulum backbreaker, and then tries the Bow and Arrow hold, but Homicide wriggled out to the ropes. Doug picked him up and tried a butterfly suplex, but Homicide spun out. He went for the 187, but Doug shoved him away and caught him off the ropes with double knees! He went up top and tried the Bombs Away, but Homicide moved! He crawled over to make the tag, and Doug started to stop him, but instead he turned and tagged in Petey, allowing Low Ki to be tagged in too! They ran at each other, and Petey tried a clothesline, but the champion ducked and came off the ropes with a high-impact front dropkick that sent Petey into the corner! He lined up and hit the Tidal Krush, and covered! ONE! TWO! TH – Doug broke it up! Low Ki went after Doug, and the brief distraction allowed Petey to hit a side Russian legsweep to take control. He and Doug make very quick tags to work over the champion’s neck, and they manage to work together smoothly to consistently cut off the tag and keep Low Ki isolated. Petey went for the CANADIAN POWER MOVE 2010, but Low Ki floated over. He came off the ropes with a crossbody, but Petey caught him midair, and lifted him into the air with a military press!! He tossed him upward, and Low Ki splattered onto the mat! Instead of covering, Petey started celebrating like crazy and flexing his muscles and whatnot for the crowd. He even exited the ring and let some fans in the front row feel his biceps, until Doug yelled at him to get back in the ring. As soon as he rolled in, he ate a big springboard roundhouse from Low Ki, who then made the hot tag! Homicide ran in and cleaned house on both Williamses, and then chucked Doug out of the ring. He picked up Petey and planted him with a German and then went up top and nailed the Frog Splash! ONE! TWO! THRE – Doug Williams broke it up! Low Ki ran over and tackled Doug out of the ring, and they brawled on the outside. Inside the ring, Petey grabbed a surprise small package! ONE! TWO! THRE – Homicide kicked out! They both got up and Petey tried a powerbomb, but Homicide floated over and then came off the ropes with the West Brooklyn Lariat! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey kicked out! Homicide pulled him up and got him in position for the Gringo Killer, BUT DOUG WILLIAMS MADE A BLIND TAG! He snuck in and rolled Homicide up before he even noticed, and he grabbed the tights for leverage! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Doug Williams/Petey Williams (12:39)

Petey looked upset about the cheating at first, but then he celebrated with Doug Williams.

Jimmy Jacobs found Chris Sabin backstage and told him he should try to amend things with Shelley. Sabin said that Shelley doesn’t work like that. There’s no going back now.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Chris Sabin vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards
This was a fun spotfest, and Burke finally got to show off his moveset on iMPACT. Sabin managed to control the match for the most part, but Richards constantly interfered, allowing Burke to take over. Each time, Sabin came back with his fiery babyfaceness, and he eventually hit his hesitation dropkick and then a Tiger Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Burke got a foot on the rope! Alex Shelley came out to the stage to watch, and Sabin caught him in his vision and started shouting up at him. He finally shrugged him off and turned around, right into an STO! ONE! TWO! THR - Sabin kicked out! Burke dragged him across to the bottom rope, where Richards got a stiff boot to the skull in. Burke picked him up and tossed him into the corner. He went for the Elijah Express, but Sabin moved and hit a Tornado DDT out of the corner! He went up top and nailed the Flying Legdrop! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Sabin (6:39)

Alex Shelley continued down the ramp and was absolutely marking out that Chris Sabin just won a match, calling it a miracle. He got in the ring and said that he wished Sabin had been a winner during their tag team days, prompting Sabin to deck Shelley! The two started brawling around the ring until security, and eventually Jimmy Jacobs, came down to split them up.

--Commercial Break--

Styles walked up to RVD and talked about how it sucked that he had to team up with Jarrett’s cronies tonight, even though Jarrett is the enemy. RVD said that, yeah, it sucks he has to team with them, but that Jarrett is no more the enemy than anyone else. He said that his goal is to win the TNA Championship, not start problems with management.

Match 5: Tomko w/ Rhino vs Sheik Abdul Bashir w/ Sonjay Dutt
Squash. Dutt got involved, so Tomko had to take care of him too. A double-handed chokeslam and then the Argentine Neckbreaker won it for Tomko.
Winner via pinfall: Tomko (2:22)

Tomko celebrated in the ring.

Jacobs talked to Shelley backstage and asked him what the deal is. Shelley said that Sabin ruined his dream, and now he’s going to have to pay. He also warned Jacobs not to get involved, because picking sides would not be a good idea.

The main event is NEXT!

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle came down for guest commentary and Jarrett insisted that he’s going to be completely fair as a referee on Sunday.

Match 6: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Eric Young/Booker T vs Rob Van Dam/Robert Roode/Sean Waltman/Kevin Nash
This started out as an absolute sprint, and everybody got involved in the first few minutes. Eric Young had a segment of laying out all the heels, but Roode ended up sneaking behind him and laying him out with the Northern Lariat. Roode celebrated, but turned around right into a springboard flying elbow from the world champion! But Styles turned around into a springboard superkick from Rob Van Dam! RVD looked down at Styles and gave the R! V! D! to a mixed reaction as we went to the final break.

--Commercial Break--

So many quick tags between all the teams made it hard for any one person to be isolated, but when the heels started getting too dirty with their tactics, RVD objected and it led to some miscommunication that caused Waltman to get overtaken by the faces. They all took turns pinballing him around the ring, each guy hitting their signature stuff. When Booker T topped it off with Axe Kick, he whipped out the Spin-a-Roonie to a huge pop. He stood up, right into a HUGE big boot from Kevin Nash! AND SHIT BROKE DOWN! Young climbed into the ring with a flurry of jabs to Nash, and then he took down the big man with a discus clothesline! He missed Roode get in the ring, and he took EY out with a Harley Race High Knee! Joe got into the ring and KILLED Roode with a lariat that sent him inside out! Joe turned around, and RVD took him out with a flipping senton from the top rope! Styles got in the ring, AND WE GOT A FACE-OFF! Van Dam reared back for a punch, but Styles ducked it. He tried a discus elbow, but RVD ducked and tried a legsweep, but Styles leapt over it. He ran off the ropes, and RVD tried a monkey flip, but Styles countered it into an arm drag. Styles charged, and RVD got his own arm drag. They both leapt up and tried various strikes, but each guy always blocked or dodged it. They both finally stopped and stared off, until the other eight guys rushed the ring and another huge brawl broke out! Nash and Waltman double-teamed Styles and sent him out of the ring, and EY sent Roode out. Joe cleared out Waltman and Roode, but RVD and Nash sent out Joe. Booker T delivered some chops to Nash, but RVD cut him off with a big spin kick. He and Nash picked up Booker T, and Nash hit the Jackknife Powerbomb! RVD went to cover, but Nash grabbed him, AND NAILED HIM WITH THE JACKKNIFE! He tossed RVD onto Booker and watched the ref count! ONE! TWO! THRE – ERIC YOUNG BROKE IT UP! Nash kicked at EY and tried to toss him out, but he caught the ropes and skinned the cat, then took Nash out with a crossbody! Waltman climbed in and tried the Comedown on EY, but Booker T took him out with the Harlem Sidekick! Eric Young went up top and nailed the Flying Splash! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Eric Young/Booker T (17:42)

The faces celebrated in the ring, but Angle, Roode, and Nash rushed the ring and attacked. The James Gang ran down and joined in, and a beatdown ensued, UNTIL RVD RAN IN WITH A STEEL CHAIR! He nailed Kip and BG, and then hit the Van Daminator on Robert Roode! Nash grabbed RVD by the throat, but Booker T got up and kicked Nash in the gut, then nailed the Scissors Kick! Angle ran down, but Joe intercepted him with a running headbutt! Waltman got up slowly in the middle of the ring, and was surrounded by the faces. They knocked him around, and it was finally Eric Young that nailed him with the Spike Piledriver! Jeff Jarrett stood up from the announce booth and looked really pissed off as all the faces stood tall in the ring to close the show.

The Motor City Machineguns breakdown has been some of the best booking I have ever read. I've loved every minute of it, and this week was no dissapointment. I love a slow-build, and this has been great, you've done a great job of really making me want to see these guys fight.

And the RVD/Styles program has been solid, but this week became great. Having Van Dam team with the heels was a lovely touch, and it was good to see him side against Nash and the others in the ending brawl.

The Los Infernales has also been deftly handled, with two brilliant upsets planting the question in everyone's minds; "can they beat the champs?"

I consistantly enjoy your shows every episode, there's not pages and pages to trawl through yet you always get your point across with the promos and the angles and booking always shine. My favourite BTB in the section, can't wait for Turning Point!

I won't leave comments on the show with the PPV coming up in 3 days, but it seemed as though it was a good show from what I skimmed, and it was a great go home show before a big Turning Point imo. Predictions TBH, and don't worry about thanking for the review ;). Lol I joke.

Commentary welcomed everybody to the show and ran down the card, along with super sweet graphics.

Planet Jarrett (Jarrett, Angle, Nash, Waltman, Roode, and the James Gang) arrived in a limousine, and Traci Brooks met them to escort them away.

Clips of Los Infernales’ recent upset victories over Storm and Harris played.

Match 1: America’s Most Wanted[c] vs Los Infernales [TNA Tag Team Championships]
This built pretty slowly at first, with AMW pretty much refusing to participate in anything high-speed. Finally Averno got frustrated and went for a springboard crossbody without much momentum, and Harris ended up Spearing him in midair! ONE! TWO! THR – Averno kicked out. He dragged him to the AMW corner and isolation ensued. They made quick tags and worked over the back with various backbreakers and suplexes, and finally Chris Harris put in a Bear Hug, and Don West marked out. Averno fought out with elbows and tried to make the tag, but Storm ran across and knocked Mephisto off the apron! He turned around and Averno exploded on him with a leg lariat! Averno got up, and Harris got him from behind and nailed a Full Nelson Slam! ONE! TWO! THRE – Averno kicked out! Storm came over and they nailed the Bear Hug/Lariat combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – MEPHISTO BROKE IT UP! Storm tried to toss him out of the ring, but he landed on the apron and hit a high kick. He springboarded in and nailed Storm with a dropkick! Harris came over, but Mephisto pulled him into the bottom rope, and nailed a springboard legdrop to the back of his head! He went over to his corner, and Averno crawled over and made the hot tag! Mephisto immediately went up top and went for a Moonsault on Harris, but he got the knees up! Mephisto staggered up and Storm leveled him with a big lariat! Harris dragged him to his corner and they isolated for a little bit, but it was with much less intensity. Mephisto fought out of an abdominal stretch by Storm, and he finally got rid of him with a monkey flip! He quickly ran off the ropes and nailed Storm with a dropkick once he sat up! He crawled over and made the hot tag! Averno cleaned house with leg lariats, and then nailed Storm with a springboard crossbody! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm kicked out! He went up top, but Harris cut him off! Mephisto came over to help, but Storm intercepted him with a high knee. AMW went over to Averno on the turnbuckle and they nailed a double superplex!!! Storm covered, ONE! TWO! THRE – Averno kicked out! They picked him up and set him up for the Death Sentence, but Mephisto ran over and held on to Harris up on the turnbuckle, and Averno grabbed a Victory Roll on Storm! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm kicked out! On top, Harris chucked Mephisto to the outside, and climbed down to inside the ring. Averno got up and went for a Brainbuster on Storm, but Storm held his weight, and Harris came over and AMW nailed a double inverted DDT! They picked him up and nailed the Death Sentence! Storm covered while Harris went to the outside and held Mephisto back! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: America’s Most Wanted! (13:56)

AMW grabbed their belts from ringside and celebrated up the ramp.

In the Planet Jarrett locker room, Robert Roode asked Waltman if he’d be in his corner tonight for his match against Eric Young next. Nash interjected and said that Waltman was going to be in his corner tonight, and he had to be fresh. BG offered for he and Kip to be in Roode’s corner, and Roode reluctantly accepted.

Raven found the Enlightened backstage and asked them to be in his corner tonight, and they told him he’s crazy, and no.

Match 2: Eric Young vs Robert Roode w/ The James Gang
They went out on the mat at the start, and it wasn’t very heated, but you could tell that both men were very focused. Commentary put over how, at this point in TNA, every match that young guys like Roode and Young are in could play a part in their future role with the company, especially PPV matches. Anyway, Young started to take control after some successful arm work, and he upped his offense to include some suplexes. Roode went to the eyes and tried a DDT, but Young pushed out of it and planted him with a belly-to-belly! He went up top, but Kip James jumped onto the apron! It caused enough of a distraction for Roode to get up and crotch Young up top, and then he hit a big Super Back Suplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Young kicked out! Roode kept Young grounded with vicious neck work, and some sporadic interference from the James Gang. Roode even whipped out the Gory Special, and then turned it into a Gory Bomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Young kicked out, but barely! Roode got cocky in his neck work, and Young managed to create some space by targeting the arm again. He came off the ropes with Thesz Press, and followed up with a flurry of punches! He picked Roode up and went for the Spike Piledriver, but Roode back body dropped him out of it. He measured Young up and nailed the Northern Lariat, but it was with his hurt arm! He pulled EY up anyway and tried the Payoff, but Young punched at his arm to break free. Roode let his hold loose, and EY hit the Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Roode kicked out! Young planted him with a body slam and went up top again, and this time he got off the Flying Splash, but ROODE MOVED OUT OF THE WAY!! Eric Young stumbled up to his feet, and he walked right into Kip James on the apron, and Kip nailed him with a right hand without the ref seeing. Eric Young fell straight to the mat, AND THE CAMERA CAUGHT KIP SLIPPING BRASS KNUCKLES INTO HIS TIGHTS! Roode crawled over and picked EY up, and he nailed the Payoff! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (9:34)

The James Gang slid in and celebrated with Robert Roode, who started to signal for the title, but stopped, and just celebrated up the ramp instead. Young got up and held his head in pain, and he could clearly tell that something wrong happened.

Christopher Daniels was backstage. He said that he’s done almost everything in TNA, but there are two things that he hasn’t done. One, spread his immense knowledge to any followers. And two, win the TNA Championship. Over an unspecified amount of time, he’ll be doing both of those, together. And that’s not just a promise; it’s a prophecy.

Buildup to the Raven/Abyss match was shown, mostly touching on Raven trying to defend the Enlightened, despite them not wanting him to.

Match 3: Raven vs Abyss w/ Matt Morgan [Hardcore Match]
Tenay said that even though it was hardcore rules, interference was forbidden. Cornette said it was because this match would suck without some sort of weapons, and DW agreed. Anyway, Abyss was a maniac to start, and Raven ate all of his punishment. He went for the Black Hole Slam early on, but Raven slide to the outside and crawled under the ring. Abyss tried to find him, but he never could. Finally Raven slid out on the opposite side of Abyss, AND HE WAS HOLDING A BARBED WIRE BAT! He ran around the ring and tried to surprise Abyss, but Abyss caught him by the throat. But he’s a fucking moron, because Raven could still hit him with the bat, AND HE DID! He kept striking Abyss’ ribs, and then he kept digging the wire further into him. He threw Abyss into the ring, and then pulled out a table and threw it into the ring. He set it up in the corner, and then set Abyss up in front of it. He charged, but Abyss moved, but Raven saw it coming and stopped himself! Abyss charged, and Raven moved, but Abyss also stopped his momentum. Abyss turned around, AND RAVEN CREAMED HIM WITH THE BARBED WIRE BAT TO THE FACE! He covered, ONE! TWO! THRE – ABYSS KICKED OUT! Rave got up and tried the Even Flow, but Abyss pushed him off, and when he came back, HE NAILED THE BLACK HOLE SLAM! He set the table up in the middle of the ring, and then dragged Raven to his feet, AND HE CHOKESLAMMED HIM THROUGH THE TABLE! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Abyss (6:02)

Abyss and Matt Morgan celebrated, and Raven got up and looked very saddened. He crawled over to the camera and begged Frankie and Jimmy to return to him once again.

Backstage, Robert Roode thanked the James Gang for their helped, and they were quite gracious.

A recap of Petey and Doug earning their way into the match played.

Match 4: Low Ki[c] vs Doug Williams vs Homicide vs Petey Williams [X-Division Championship]
Low Ki and Homicide stuck together at the start, which sort of forced Petey and Doug to team up, though they were far less comfortable with it. Ki and ‘Cide got the upper hand, and sent Petey to the outside and then double-teamed Doug for a bit. Low Ki ended up hitting him with the Tidal Krush, and then Homicide signaled for the Frog Splash. He went up top, but Petey jumped up on the apron and pulled Homicide down backward and to the outside! He climbed into the ring, where Low Ki intercepted him with chops. Doug got up and helped isolate Low Ki, and finally the numbers got the better of him. At first Petey and Doug worked together to beat down the champion, but eventually it turned into a game of one-upmanship; Doug kept putting in submission moves and Petey kept using power moves. When Petey nailed a powerbomb, he went for the cover, but Doug pulled him off! They got in each other’s faces, and Homicide springboarded them in and took them both out with a crossbody! He kept up his momentum with clothesline and leg lariats to both Williamses, and he topped it off with a sitout suplex to Doug! He popped up to pump up the crowd, and he got LEVELED by a roundhouse kick from Low Ki! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey broke it up! Petey and Low Ki went back and forth, and when Doug and Homicide eventually came back, this broke down into somewhat of a MOVEFEST~! Petey eventually got a lot of steam, and he took out Doug with a BIG BOOT~! He picked up Homicide and nailed a military press slam! He got Low Ki and tried a powerbomb, BUT LOW KI SPUN OUT IN MIDAIR AND KICKED PETEY IN THE FACE~! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey kicked out! He picked Petey up and tried the Ki Krusher, but Petey kneed out and nailed a Snap DDT! ONE! TWO! THR – Low Ki kicked out! Petey picked him up and tried the CANADIAN POWER MOVE 2010, but Low Ki slid behind him and hit a Dragon Suplex. He climbed up top, but Doug ran over and crotched him! He climbed up and hit a superplex, then crawled over for the cover! ONE! TWO! THRE – Homicide broke it up! ‘Cide picked up Doug and went for the Gringo Killer, but Doug twisted out and threw Homicide against the ropes. He bounced back with a crossbody, but Doug ducked and Homicide fell out to the apron! Doug tried to knee at him, but Homicide blocked the knees and then delivered some elbows. He grabbed Doug from the apron, and connected with a suplex that sent him out to the ground! Doug stumbled up, and Homicide ran along the apron and hit a hurricanrana to the ground! On the inside, Petey tried to fight Low Ki into the Sharpshooter, but Low Ki bridged forward and tackled Petey down, then locked in the Dragon Clutch! Petey struggled, but Low Ki pulled back harder! Homicide slowly got up on the outside and saw it coming, so he started to crawl to the ring. As soon as he got to his feet, Doug Williams ran over AND BASHED HIM IN THE HEAD WITH THE X-DIVISION TITLE!!! He tossed the belt aside and climbed into the ring and broke up the Dragon Clutch with a high knee to the back of Low Ki’s head! He picked Ki up and tried the Chaos Theory, but the champion blocked it with his legs, and then hit a stunner right within the corner! Low Ki climbed up top and hit the Ghetto Stomp on Doug Williams! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA X-Division Champion: Low Ki (16:28)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring. Homicide got up and told Low Ki what happened, and Ki looked kind of pissed, but then just shrugged it off. Homicide turned to Doug Williams and picked him up, but he shook out, and escaped out of the ring and up the ramp. Homicide looked pissed, but turned around and shook Low Ki’s hand, and then help up his arm.

Booker T was on the cell phone with somebody who was obviously wishing him good luck. He ended the call with “Thanks, Scott.”

Hype video. The usual.

Match 5: Booker T vs Kevin Nash w/ Sean Waltman
They went for a lock-up at the start, and Booker T used some technical prowess at first, but then Nash fought back with his power and size advantage. He tossed Booker around, but he kept coming back with his signature kicks. When he got off the Harlem Sidekick, he tried the Book End, but Nash pushed him away, where Waltman tripped him up from the outside. Booker T stumbled forward right into a Big Boot! ONE! TWO! THR – Booker T kicked out! Nash picked him up and went for the Jackknife Powerbomb, but Booker T rolled through with a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THR – Nash kicked out! They both got up and Nash creamed him with a running lariat. He worked over his back, using Waltman when he could. He tossed him into the corner and choked him out with his boot, and then grabbed him by the throat! Booker T kicked away and ran off the ropes, but Nash caught him with a Sidewalk Slam! ONE! TWO! THR – Booker T kicked out. Nash leaned down, AND BOOKER GRABBED AN INSIDE CRADLE! ONE! TWO! THRE – Nash kicked out! They got up and Nash tried a big boot, but Booker T ducked under and came back with a missile dropkick! He measured him up and NAILED a superkick, and then picked up Nash and planted him with the Book End! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Booker T (7:20)

Booker T celebrated in the ring. Kevin Nash got up and was pissed.

Booker’s celebration continued to the back, where Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed welcomed him with excitement. Booker said that they were going to out and party tonight, and Creed said that he knows a great sushi bar. They called him gay, and Lethal said that they’re going to go … do whatever black people do. I don’t know what that is. I just write here.

Mick Foley had Samoa Joe in his office and said that Jarrett obviously has a lot of power, so he needs to maintain his temper tonight.

Footage of MCMG’s storybook tag team title wins from BFG was shown, along with the subsequent losses to AMW, and Shelley’s turn on Sabin. Clips of interviews by both guys were shown, putting over the personal nature of their tension.

Match 6: Alex Shelley vs Chris Sabin
They started off right in each other’s faces, and had a lot of words for each other. Shelley clearly told Sabin that he was the weak link of the group, and he’s going to prove that tonight. He invited Sabin to a lock-up, and they fought like hell for control. Neither guy got too far before the other turned the momentum, and they found themselves in a stalemate several times. When Shelley threw in some surprise elbows, he was able to catch Sabin off guard enough to gain leverage in the mat work. He started working Sabin’s arm with a lot of aggression, mostly just stomping at it and trying to pry the shoulder. Sabin managed to create some space with some chops, and he ran off the ropes for a headscissors, but Shelley caught him in mid-air and countered it into a shoulderbreaker! He immediately followed up with a fujiwara armbar, but Sabin managed to fight to his feet, and spin out, then hit an enzuigiri! He nursed his arm and then tried a superkick, but Shelley dodged it. He ran to the ropes and tried a springboard moonsault, but Sabin rolled out of the way and hit a Tiger Suplex! He held his arm, but managed to cover anyway! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley kicked out! They fought up to their feet, and Shelley tried a German Suplex, but Sabin flipped through it! He tried a spinning sole kick, but Shelley blocked it. He went for a lung blower, but Sabin held onto the ropes and Shelley just hit the mat. Sabin went for a moonsault Leg Drop, but Shelley rolled out of the way and ran off the ropes for his double high knees, but Sabin evaded it. He picked up Shelley for a powerbomb and ran toward the turnbuckle, but before he got there, Shelley rolled through it with a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! They both got and Sabin grabbed an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THRE – Shelley kicked out! Sabin tried a side slam, but Shelley punched at his arm to break free, and then grabbed a roll-up, and he grabbed the ropes for leverage! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! They both got up, and Sabin tried a German Suplex, but Shelley blocked it and elbowed backward, striking Sabin right in the throat. He charged, but Sabin low bridged him to the outside! Shelley recooperated on the floor, and Sabin ran across to the other side of the ring, and came back with his Leap of Faith suicide dive!!! They brawled around on the outside for a while, and that’s where the heat really picked up. The steel barricade, ring post, and apron all got done used. When Sabin went for a moonsault off the apron, but Shelley moved, Shelley got a demented look on his face and business was on. He pulled the rubber mat from the floor, revealing the concrete below. The ref tried to stop him, but he threw him aside. He pulled up Sabin and went for a powerbomb, BUT SABIN BACK BODY DROPPED HIM ONTO THE CONCRETE!! Sabin was clearly pissed, and he went over to the announce booth and threw everything off, then dragged Shelley over. He pulled him to his feet, but the referee came over and threatened him with DQ. Sabin thought up it, but picked Shelley up for a powerbomb anyway! But, no! Shelley climbed over Sabin, and he hit a German Suplex on the floor! He picked him up, and planted him with a vertical suplex on the floor, and then rolled him into the ring! ONE! TWO! THRE – SABIN KICKED OUT! Shelley climbed out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair from ringside, but the ref snatched it from him and tossed it out of the ring. With the ref distracted, Shelley went over to untie the turnbuckle. The ref turned around and saw that too, and went over to tie it back. With the ref there, and Sabin getting to his feet, Shelley lined up and kicked Sabin right in the nuts! Sabin doubled over, and Shelley grabbed him by the neck and hit the Slice Bread #2!!! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! SABIN GOT A FOOT ON THE ROPE! Shelley pulled him up and went for the Shellshock, but Sabin kneed out of it with stiff strikes, and then planted Shelley with a DDT! He crawled up top, but Shelley was up too! They fought up top, but Sabin ended up elbowing Shelley down! He stood up and went for the Flying Leg Drop, BUT SHELLEY MOVED! Sabin hobbled around, and Shelley came off the ropes for a running Superkick, but Sabin ducked it. He caught Shelley off the ropes and picked him up for the Future Shock, but Shelley punched at the weak arm to break free! Sabin was flustered, and he turned around RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! ONE! TWO! THRE – SABIN KICKED OUT!! Shelley flipped a shit, and mounted Sabin and began pounding into him with fists and elbows. He picked him up and went for the Shellshock, but Sabin rolled through, but he was too tired to make a move. Shelley charged, and Sabin tried to flip him to the outside, but he was too weak at this point, and Shelley landed on the apron. Shelley tried a high kick to inside the ring, but Sabin ducked it, and came up with a huge uppercut! Shelley fell to the apron as Sabin caught his breath on the inside. Sabin turned to reach over the rope and grab Shelley, BUT SHELLEY HAD THE STEEL CHAIR AND HE CREAMED SABIN OVER THE HEAD!!! Sabin flopped to the ground, and the ref obviously called it.
Winner via disqualification: Chris Sabin (17:38)

Shelley climbed into the ring and kept bashing Sabin with the steel chair, and then tossed it onto the mat, and drilled Sabin with the Shellshock onto it! He mounted him and kept delivering elbows to his now-busted open forehead, but Jimmy Jacobs ran down! He pulled Shelley off and asked him what the hell he was doing. Shelley looked incredibly pissed, and told Jacobs to leave, now. Jacobs refused and started to help Sabin up, but Shelley pulled him off, and told him to leave, NOW! Jacobs looked really conflicted, and kept looking back and forth from Shelley to Sabin. After some thought … he backed off and headed up the ramp. Shelley smiled, and turned back to a KO’ed Sabin. He picked him up one last time and nailed a second Shellshock onto the steel chair. He looked down at Sabin and laughed, and watched on as EMT’s ran down to the ring.

Jerry Lynn walked up to RVD and wished him luck in the TNA title match.

AJ Styles was backstage with Lauren, and he said that he was going to defend the TNA Championship, with the shenanigans of power plays involved. He said that he’s always wanted to wrestle RVD, ever since he was growing up watching wrestling. And now is his chance, and he’s going to make the most of it.

Chris Sabin was shown on a stretcher, being loaded onto an ambulance.

Super hype video, with the Joe/Angle stuff spilling over into the larger MEM/Jarrett conspiracy. Jarrett came down with his referee shirt on, and the crowd hated him.

Match 7: Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe [Special Guest Referee – Jeff Jarrett]
They went right into a brawl, but Joe kept getting the upper hand, and Jarrett would pull him off time and time again for having a closed fist, or he would yank him off the moment Angle touched the ropes. Joe got in Jarrett’s face, but backed off and instead invited Angle to a lock-up. They had an aggressive fight for leverage that went to the mat, where Joe ended up getting the better again. He worked over Angle’s neck some, but Angle got out of it by blatantly gouging Joe’s eyes for several seconds, with Jarrett looking the other way. Angle took over with brutal punches and some chokes, none of which Jarrett called. Angle eventually started hitting some bigger moves, and Jarrett kept counting quickly, but Joe kicked out every time around 1, despite it clearly tiring him out. Angle eventually pulled down the strap and went for the ankle lock, but Joe flung him forward, and caught him off the ropes with the Coquina Clutch! Angle struggled in the middle of the ring, but he couldn’t break free! Joe finally tackled him to the mat, but Jarrett ripped Joe off of Angle, and yelled at him for using a chokehold! Joe picked Jarrett up by the shirt, but Angle came up behind and hit the Olympic Slam! ONETWOTHRE – NO! JOE JUST KICKED OUT! Angle pulled him up and threw him into the corner and charged, but Joe got a boot up! He exploded out of the corner with a lariat that flatted Angle, and then laid into him with big elbows! He picked Angle up and lifted him into his shoulders, then walked over to Jarrett. They got in each other’s face, AND JOE SPUN AROUND AND USED ANGLE’S BODY TO LAY OUT JEFF JARRETT! Joe then planted Angle with a powerslam on top of Jeff Jarrett! He grabbed Angle on the mat and locked in the Coquina Clutch! Angle struggled, and finally tapped out, but there was nobody to call it! Joe unlocked it and picked Angle up and nailed the Muscle Buster, just as another referee was finally coming down! Joe covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – KEVIN NASH PULLED THE REFERE OUT WHAT THE FUCK! He punched the ref in the face, and climbed into the ring, but Joe leveled him with an arched big boot! Joe turned around, and Angle was up and tried an Olympic Slam, but Joe rolled out hit Angle with a German Suplex! He looked around for another referee, AND MICK FOLEY RAN OUT IN A REFEREE SHIRT! HOLY SHIT THE CROWD WENT NUTS! Joe grinned, and turned back to Angle, and planted him with another Muscle Buster! Foley slide into the ring and counted! ONE! TWO! THRE – JEFF JARRETT GRABBED FOLEY BY THE HAIR AND NAILED HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH BRASS KNUCKLES!! Samoa Joe got up and grabbed Jarrett by the throat, but Kevin Nash was in the ring and he kicked Joe in between the legs! Joe doubled over, and Jarrett nailed him in the face with the knucks! He hit the mat, and Nash threw Angle on top of Joe! ONE! TWO! THRE – JOE KICKED OUT! Jarrett was irate, as Joe slowly climbed to his feet. Nash grabbed Joe from behind, but Joe threw him off, and over the top rope! He turned back to Jarrett, but he failed to see Angle sneak up and hit the Olympic Slam! ONETWOTHREE!
Winner via pinfall: Kurt Angle (15:45)

Kurt Angle staggered up and celebrated, and he pulled Jarrett to his feet as well. They celebrated, and started kicking away at Joe and Foley. Jarrett picked up Foley and hit the Stroke, and Angle picked up Joe, BUT JOE HAD THE BRASS KNUCKLES AND HE NAILED ANGLE! Jarrett tried to attack him, BUT JOE HIT JARRETT WITH THE KNUCKS TOO!!! He started going batshit on Jarrett, and security ran down! Joe tossed them out as they entered the ring, and he picked Jeff Jarrett up, AND HE NAILED THE TNA FOUNDER WITH THE MUSCLE BUSTERRRR~!~!~! Security finally pounced on Joe and dragged him to the back.

Commentary freaked out that Joe just did that to Double J, and wondered what would happen to him because of it. Back in the ring, Foley got up and looked at the damage, and looked up at Joe being escorted up the ramp, and was concerned.

Rob Van Dam walked backstage, and he was greeted by SABU~, who was in a neck brace. Sabu just gave him a nod, and RVD said he was going to win the world title, because that was how Sabu said, “what are you going to do tonight?”

Jerry Lynn found AJ Styles backstage and wished him good luck tonight. What a two-timing bitch.

Hype video. Commentary tried to put this over as a DREAM MATCH~.

Jeremy Borash did formal introductions.

Match 8: AJ Styles vs Rob Van Dam [TNA Championship]
A handshake started it off, and that’s really all they did for the first few minutes as they tried to get a feel for each other. Once RVD sent Styles into the ropes for the first time, shit went down. Lots of quick arm drags, monkey flips, leap frogging over each other, AND THE AJ STYLES DROPKICK SEQUENCE HAHA FUCK YOU RVD WHO ACTUALLY FALLS FOR THAT ANYMORE?! RVD was clearly flustered that he fell for it too, so he backed off for a second. They came back together and went right into the classic Jerry Lynn/RVD sequence of “you can’t hit me. Neither can you,” and it ended with a double clothesline that sent both guys to the mat. They got up and RVD sent Styles into the ropes and tried a dropkick, but Styles held onto the ropes to stop his momentum, and LOL, Styles is smart enough not to be hit by an obvious dropkick. RVD immediately jumped up and ran at Styles, but Styles flipped him to the apron. He charged himself, but RVD moved out of the way and caught Styles by the neck, and pulled him to the apron as well. They battled on the apron with elbows, but RVD hit a high kick that made Styles wobble. RVD quickly climbed into the ring, sprinted across the other side, AND LEAPED OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TOOK STYLES TO THE FLOOR BELOW WITH A CROSSBODY! Van Dam climbed back into the ring and went up top, gave his ROB! VAN! DAM! spiel, then leaped off the turnbuckle with a high plancha, but Styles moved and RVD busted his head on the barricade! The champion regrouped and climbed back into the ring, then ran off the ropes and did his Fosbury Flop, but RVD moved, and Styles landed spine-first on the outside of the ring! They both regrouped on the outside, and crawled back into the ring before the referee reached ten. RVD tried a quick roundhouse, but Styles ducked and came off the ropes for a headscissors, but RVD caught Styles and planted him with a sidewalk slam. He continued to work over Styles’ back after the failed Flop to the outside, and he even threw in a Boston Crab, but Styles got to the rope. Van Dam pulled him off and tried a powerbomb, but Styles flipped to the other side, and he hit the Pele! They both got to their feet, and Styles fought RVD into the corner, then set him up top. RVD tried to fight away with kicks, but Styles put him in place with a jumping discus clothesline. He climbed up as well, and he nailed RVD with a top-rope bulldog! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD kicked out! Styles pulled him up and threw him into the corner again, and successfully ran at him with his flying elbow strike. He then climbed up top for himself and tried a Tornado DDT, but RVD held his weight, and then countered with a Northern Lights Suplex. ONE! TWO! THR – Styles kicked out! RVD pulled him up, but Styles kicked him in the gut. He tried a Brainbuster, but RVD floated over and nailed him with a roundhouse kick! He hit a quick corkscrew legdrop and covered! ONE! TWO! THR – Styles kicked out. He got up and quickly ran against the ropes and tried the Rolling Thunder, but Styles got his knees up! RVD stumbled around holding his back, and Styles caught him from behind with a Reverse Frankensteiner! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD kicked out! Styles immediately went up top, but RVD crotched him there. He climbed up too, and he nailed a Superplex! Styles held at his back in pain as RVD hooked the legs! ONE! TWO! THRE – Styles kicked out! RVD went up top for the split-legged moonsault, but Styles got his knees up again! Styles got up, and he nailed a backbreaker on RVD and then transitioned it right into a consecutive gutbuster! He went to the apron and springboarded in with a splash! ONE! TWO! THR – RVD kicked out! Styles got up and tried the Styles Clash, but RVD picked him up and hit the Steamroller Slam! He got up and this time he connected with the Rolling Thunder! ONE! TWO! THR – Styles kicked out! He quicky got up and nailed a leg drop, and then climbed to the top rope! He signaled for it! FIVE! STAR! FRO – NO! STYLES GOT THE KNEES UP AGAIN!! Styles got up, but by now he was clearly favoring his knees. He pulled RVD up and tried the Styles Clash, but RVD dropped out of it and hit a legsweep that took Styles clear to the mat! He picked Styles up and tried a Cradle Piledriver, but Styles back body dropped him out of it! He limped around, but when RVD got up, he exploded with a springboard Tornado DDT out of nowhere!! He limped to his feet, but he climbed up top! SPIRAL TAP! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Champion: AJ Styles (19:40)

Styles got up and celebrated as the referee handed him his TNA Championship. As he held up the title on the turnbuckle, Rob Van Dam slowly got to his feet and waited for Styles to turn around. The two had a brief stare down, and then RVD extended his hand. Styles accepted the handshake, and the crowd applauded. RVD went back up the ramp, allowing Styles to celebrate on his own in the middle of the ring.

TNA iMPACT: You’re Not the Boss of Me!
iMPACT Zone
Orlando, Florida
November 19, 2009

Rob Van Dam came out to start the show, and he got a good reaction. He put over his match with Styles, and said that it’s been years – over a decade – since he’s had an opponent like AJ Styles, and that this kid is the real deal. He said that he’d like another shot, and he has an idea for a re-match. Styles came out and said that RVD was an incredible opponent, and he accepts the re-match. He asked RVD what he had in mind, but before he could answer, Jeff Jarrett came out and down to the ring.

Jarrett, who had a bandage over his head from Sunday, said that this was sweet and all, but the time has come for the TNA Championship to return to the hands of a respectable man. That’s why Styles/RVD II will not be taking place. Rather, AJ Styles will be facing Kurt Angle for the TNA Championship. TONIGHT!

--Commercial Break--

Footage of Low Ki’s title defense from Sunday played.

Match 1: Low Ki vs Petey Williams [Non-Title]
Petey kept flexing and trying to throw off his strength, but Low Ki neutralized it with his stiff strikes. They went back-and-forth for a bit with Petey trying to contain the champion, but him always fighting out with his fiery kicks and chops. Petey finally caught Ki’s leg when he went for a roundhouse, and then nailed a fisherman suplex. He followed up with some aggressive back work, and then finally went for the cover after the pushup/elbow drop combination. ONE! TWO! TH – Ki kicked out. Petey picked up Ki and went for the CANADIAN POWER MOVE 2010, but Low Ki slide behind him and tried for a Dragon Suplex, but Petey elbowed out, and then tackled Low Ki to the mat and put him into a Sharpshooter! Ki struggled and finally made it to the bottom rope, but Petey immediately pounced by driving his knee into the back, using the rope to help. Petey picked him up and tried a vertical suplex, but he floated over and ran off the ropes, then connected with a high-impact front dropkick that sent Petey into the corner! He charged at him and nailed the Tidal Krush, and then went up top! He went for the Ghetto Stomp, BUT PETEY MOVED! They both hobbled up and Petey tried to put Ki into another Sharpshooter, but the champion blocked it with a straight kick upward to Petey’s face! Ki grabbed him from behind and nailed a Tiger Suplex, and then he locked in the Dragon Clutch! Petey writhed around, and he eventually had no choice but to tap out!
Winner via submission: Low Ki (8:32)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring with his X-Title.

Jarrett told Nash to go deliver the message that Rob Van Dam will be in action tonight. He then added that whenever Samoa Joe arrives, he needed to be informed ASAP.

--Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley was backstage and he buried Chris Sabin, and said that he put him out because he didn’t even deserve to be on the TNA roster. He said that now that the piece of garbage was out of the way, he could turn his sights to greater things: the X-Division title.

Match 2: Tyson Tomko w/ Rhino vs Lance Hoyt
This was mostly commentary arguing over whether or not Lance Hoyt should still be on the payroll. A match did happen though, and it was overwhelmingly Tomko beating around Hoyt. At one point he rolled out of the ring to avoid Tomko, and he got in an altercation with Rhino, but Tomko pulled him by the hair into the ring before anything could happen. Double-Arm Chokeslam and then THE BEWT~ ended it.
Winner via pinfall: Tyson Tomko (3:23)

Tomko celebrated up the ramp with Rhino.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs found Alex Shelley and asked why things had to be like this between he and Sabin. Shelley said to forget about Chris Sabin, because everybody else has.

Backstage, Homicide saw Doug Williams walking backstage, and he ran up and attacked him! They brawled around the hall until officials could split them up.

--Commercial Break--

Doug Williams grabbed Lauren backstage and demanded the mic. He raged about what an animal Homicide is, and how he’s never came across such a pathetic excuse for a human as that Mexican barbarian.

Commentary announced Rhino/Hoyt for Xplosion this week. Cool?

Match 3: Booker T vs Robert Roode w/ Kevin Nash
They briefly went to the mat, and Booker showed his experience by gaining the edge, and it really pissed Roode off. He took a minute to regroup, and Nash jumped up on the apron to distract Booker, and Roode pounced with a lariat. He kept on Booker T with elbows and clothesline, and he even connected with a belly-to-belly! ONE! TWO! T – Booker T kicked out. Roode picked him up and tried the Payoff, but it was obviously too soon and Booker countered into a modified Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! TH – Roode kicked out. They both got up and Roode went to the eyes and then charged, but Booker T flipped him over the top rope and he crashed to Nash on the outside! Booker climbed up to the top rope, and he leapt off and took out both Roode and Nash with a plancha to send us to a break.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T continued his momentum by bopping (yes, bopping) around Roode, and he nailed the Harlem Sidekick, AND WE GOT A SPIN-A-ROONIE~! Booker ran off the ropes for the Axe Kick, but Nash caught his leg! They shouted at each other for a bit, and Roode ran over and leveled Booker T with the Northern Lariat! Roode took a second to recover, and then made the cover! ONE! TWO! THRE – Booker got a foot on the rope! Roode kept up on the neck work to capitalize on the Lariat, and he went for the Roode Awakening, but Booker elbowed out, and countered with a neckbreaker. He went up top, but Nash jumped up on the apron for the distraction, SO BOOKER T LEPT OFF AND TOOK HIM OUT WITH A SLEDGE!! Nash hit the floor, and Booker recovered on the apron, but Roode ran across and creamed Booker with a high knee that sent him flying into the barricade! Roode climbed out of the ring and toss Booker T into the ring steps, then threw him back into the ring and covered. ONE! TWO! THR – Booker T kicked out! Roode picked him up and tried a powerbomb, but Booker T shoved out and connected with a superkick! He went up to the top turnbuckle again, but again Nash jumped up onto the apron. This time though, THE 2 CRAZY NEGROES RAN DOWN AND PULLED NASH OFF! Booker T grinned, and turned back to the ring, and he nailed the Missile Dropkick! He picked Roode up and hit the Book End and covered! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Booker T (13:54)

Lethal and Creed climbed into the ring to celebrate with Booker T, and Kevin Nash was irate on the outside of the ring.

Eric Young was backstage, clearly watching the previous match on the television. He told Petey Williams and Tyson Dux that he was glad to see Roode get beaten like that, as it served him right for the stunt that he pulled at Turning Point.

Samoa Joe arrived backstage, but he was immediately jumped by security. He was too flustered to fight back, and they tackled him to the ground and then led him back out of the arena. Wtf.

--Commercial Break--

Mick Foley stormed into Jeff Jarrett’s office and demanded to know why Samoa Joe was barred from entering the arena. Jarrett said that it was company policy that only TNA employees were allowed to be backstage. Foley looked confused, but then in awe. Jarrett just smiled and said, “Yep.â€

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about what the hell Jarrett was talking about, and why Joe couldn’t be let into the arena. Don West put forward the idea that maybe Joe was fired, but Cornette and Tenay respectfully told him that he was Blue, and that Joe being fired was impossible.

Match 4: Abyss/Matt Morgan vs The Enlightened
Kaz and Rave were timid to go up against either guy, so they got in strikes whenever the could, and played the hit-and-run game for a while. Abyss finally managed to catch Rave off the ropes, and he planted him with a big sidewalk slam. He tagged in Morgan, who had a field day with Rave, tossing him around with big suplexes, and he topped it off with a powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Rave kicked out! Morgan picked him up and went for the Hellevator, but Kaz springboarded into the ring and took Morgan out with a dropkick to the legs! Kaz ran back to his corner, but Abyss stormed the ring anyway. While the ref tried to control Abyss, Kaz snuck in and he and Rave worked together to take Morgan down, and then stomp at him. Kaz slapped his hands together to fake the tag, and he kept trying to keep Morgan down with strikes. He put in a rear naked choke, but Morgan fought to his feet, and he planted Kaz with a belly-to-back! He made the hot tag, and Abyss cleaned house. He planted Rave with a chokeslam, and Raven ran down! Abyss yelled at Raven, and Kaz caught him with a single-leg dropkick! Raven jumped onto the apron, and Kaz tried to whip Abyss into him, but Abyss reversed it, and Kaz crashed into Raven, their heads colliding! Kaz stumbled backward, RIGHT INTO THE BLACK HOLE SLAM! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Abyss/Matt Morgan (6:42)

Raven was in shock at having just cost Kaz and Rave the match, and when the Enlightened realized what happened, they were pissed. Raven backed up the ramp, pleading for forgiveness.

--Commercial Break--

As the Enlightened stormed around in the back, Christopher Daniels approached them and commented on what a fool Raven is. They looked up and their attention was clearly caught. Daniels told them to come with him, and they decided to follow.

Match 5: Rob Van Dam vs Alex Koslov w/ the Axis Powers
This was mostly RVD hitting his offense, but after a couple minutes, there came to be a shitload of interference. When RVD went for the Rolling Thunder, Schulz grabbed his leg, and let Koslov pounce with a running back elbow. He kept RVD down with some basic leg work, but RVD caught him off the ropes with a back body drop. He went up top, but Schulz hopped up on the apron to distract the ref, while Magnus hopped up and knocked Van Dam off! Koslov immediately pounced with big elbows, and he went up top and tried the Russian Elbow (Frog Splash, transitioned into an Elbow Drop), but Van Dam moved! He ran off the ropes and nailed the Rolling Thunder! He gave the ROB! VAN! DAM! in the ring, but Kiyoshi climbed in the ring and charged, but RVD caught him with a roundhouse! He turned around and Koslov tried the Red Scare, but RVD countered it into a DDT! He went up top and nailed the Five Star Frog Splash for the win!!
Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam (5:09)

RVD celebrated in the ring, and he motioned for the title.

America’s Most Wanted was backstage and they said that their title loss at BFG was just a hiccup, and they are going to continue on to establish themselves as the greatest tag team, not just in the TNA of the past, but of the TNA of the present, and of the TNA of the future.

--Commercial Break--

Jeremy Borash did formal introductions.

Match 6: AJ Styles[c] vs Kurt Angle [TNA Championship]
Angle was totally in the zone here, so they went straight to the mat, and Angle was a maniac. Styles seemed to keep getting flustered by being out-wrestled, but he finally managed to get a headlock and stick on it for a while. Angle kept trying to use his power to get Styles up, but the champion used his athleticism to flip through any throws and bounce off the ropes. Jarrett eventually came down to the stage, and it threw Styles off for Angle to unleash a side suplex to finally break free. He picked Styles up and nailed a German Suplex, and then celebrated in the ring as Jarrett applauded him while walking toward the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Jarrett cheered Angle on as he kept up his offense, and he started to segue into ankle work. Styles saw it coming, and he fought back like crazy, and he finally managed to pull out a kip-up frankensteiner. He ran off the ropes for a springboard moonsault, but Jarrett blatantly the rope down and Styles crashed to the mat! The ref started to call for the bell, but Jarrett clearly threatened to fire the referee! The ref let it go, and Angle pounced on Styles with the Triple Germans! He pulled the straps down, but Mick Foley came down to the ring as well! Angle put in the ankle lock, but Styles pulled it into a roll-up! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle kicked out! Styles got up and saw Jarrett and Foley arguing, AND HE RAN OVER AND TOOK JARRETT OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Angle quickly ran out of the ring and shoved Styles into the barricade, and then punched Foley in the face! Jarrett came over and jumped on Styles, just as Foley returned the punch to Styles. It all broke down into a two-on-two brawl on the outside, and the ref had to call it!
Result: No Contest Due to Interference (15:48)

All four men kept brawling, and it ended up back in the ring. Foley got the upper hand on Jarrett with big right hands! He finally sent Jarrett out of the ring with a Cactus Clothesline, and then he climbed back into the ring to knock Angle around with Styles. The champion eventually dropkicked Kurt Angle out of the ring, and he and Foley stood tall to close the show.

Xplosion Results (11/21)
Sean Morley/Ricky Steamboat Jr over TJ Perkins/Scott Lost
Chad Collyer over Seth Delay
Raisha Saeed/Rhaka Khan over Daisy Haze/Roxxi Laveaux
America’s Most Wanted over Elijah Burke/Davey Richards [Non-Title]

What happened to the hardcore reviewers? Right here ;D.

BTW, sorry I couldn't get a review up for Turning Point, exams were this week. I'll review iMPACT, and hopefully its a sign of things to come with me reviewing ;).

LOL at Internet Rumors. That is all.

Final side note before the review, MizMasta, if you're going to do it at all, do it properly.

iMPACT Review

RVD starting off the show was to be expected after putting on quite the show at Turning Point against Styles, and another title shot in the near future is something that I would like to see TBH. Styles granting the rematch out of respect was also to be expected as was an MEM interruption, so nothing was out of the ordinary here IMO. Angle vs Styles is a main event of epic proportions, and I expect nothing less from a match writer of your caliber.

The opening match between Low Ki and Petey Williams was nothing but enjoyable, although I would have liked to see more of it. However, for the amount of time it was in, it was an enjoyable match, although since it was non title, I would have liked to see Petey get the win to have a future match for the championship.

Shelley with his singles run is something in the past which I've said I have enjoyed, even for the short amount of time it has been going on for. X Division title run to lead onto World Title run please ;D.

Tomko squash, and there isn't much more to say really. Hoyt to get fired or be a jobber, which he is already :p. Nothing else to say here.

As I said in the last review, Jacobs and Shelley partnership FTW.

Booker vs. Roode will undoubtedly prove to be an exciting match up, and I wasn't mistaken or let down. Once again, an enjoyable match from you with the opening being action packed, something I like as I'm not a huge fan of matches which are slow from the get go {oshit I'm a poet}. The Two Crazy Negroes interfering to lead Booker to victory was a little but not too surprising, and after two consecutive big wins, Booker seems in line for a push.

Lul Joe got pwnt. But, a commercial break then a small backstage segment followed by a commercial break?

Abyss and Matt Morgan were always going to win the match against the Enlightened thanks to Raven's failed intereference, so it wasn't a shock. There isn't much else to say really, although I hope that Kaz is in line for a push in the near future.

Daniels heading to the Enlightened is a good decision, and now credibility can be associated to the Enlightened, and more importantly, Kaz ;D.

RVD was always getting the win here over Koslov, and it was also inevitable that Kiyoshi was going to interfere. Rob is a man who I have a major, major love for, so I hope he gets another TNA Title shot and this time a TNA Title run in the near future.

AMW FTW TBH IMO.

And now the huge main event between Angle and Styles for the TNA Championship, which is WrestleMania Bound for Glory worthy, so I'm surprised you're making this on a weekly show. The action was phenomenal, no pun intended ;D, and, I mark for the Kip Up Frankensteiner :p. The match was never going to have a clean finish nor a title change, so once again,I commend you for being realistic since I am a fan of realism :p. I'm hoping for a future Three Way Match between Kurt Angle, RVD and AJ Styles, and hopefully it isn't too far away from happening.

Two weeks ago, I talked about how I though you should get rid of your deadline of posting iMPACT every time on a Thursday night- or, in my case, Friday- and although I still think you should get rid of the deadline, this iMPACT was of a great entertainment to read. You have some great stuff going on such as Styles/Angle/RVD, Alex Shelley and his singles run as well as a strong X Division, but I still stand by saying that to showcase your full potential, you should get rid of the deadline. I had somewhat of a mini rant in my last review so I won't say it again since its nothing new, but its an improvement on the last show I read although a slight one as the iMPACT two weeks ago was still enjoyable. 7.5/10
